Duties and Responsibilities
- Formulating, and implementing human resource training and development policies, guidelines and regulations and analyzing their impact on staff;
- Identifying and monitoring training needs for the Corporation and implementing suitable interventions.
- Develop, monitor and implement performance improvement strategies
- Managing employment performance improvement plans
- Developing human resource management plans to ensure effective succession management;
- Developing, reviewing and Managing performance management system in line with the Corporations Strategic and Business Plans
- Overseeing the development and maintenance of an up-to-date human resource database;
- Evaluating and auditing of human resource activities and programmes;
- Preparing Board papers relating to human resource for deliberation and decision making;
- Ensuring implementation and promotion of best human resource standards and practices;
- Developing the organization’s training plans to deliver high performance
- Preparing Divisions budget and work plans;
Requirements for the job
- Masters Degree in any of the following disciplines:- Human Resource Management /Development/ Planning, Public Administration, Business Administration, Political Science/ Government, or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
- Bachelors Degree in any of the following disciplines:- Human Resource Management/ Development/ Planning, Public Administration, Business Administration, Political Science/ Government, or equivalent
- qualification from a recognized institution
- Have CHRP (K) from CHRM or equivalent from a relevant professional body.
- Have ten (10) years relevant experience with at least three (3) years served in the grade of Assistant Human Resource Manager or comparable senior position in the Public Service or reputable organization;
- Attended Leadership course lasting not less than four (4) weeks from a recognized institution;
- Full membership to IHRM
- Practicing Certificate
- Meets the provisions of chapter six of the constitution
