    The Research & Learning Intern

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Assist in compiling reference materials and drafting simple literature reviews on topics related to BRAC International’s work (e.g., youth empowerment, early childhood development, livelihoods).
    • Assist in organizing and participating in meetings and calls with internal teams and external partners.
    • Assist in preparing agendas, taking meeting minutes, and documenting follow-up actions.
    • Assist in preparing materials for training, webinars, or workshops.
    • Support the testing of research tools, including surveys and interview guides.
    • Support the cleaning and organization of quantitative or qualitative data.
    • Transcribe qualitative data (e.g., interview and focus group recordings) verbatim, ensuring accuracy and clarity.
    • Assist with basic data analysis and help produce simple tables, charts, or summaries for internal use.
    • Contribute to internal or external knowledge products such as blogs, reports, or slide decks.
    • Support with formatting, proofreading, and organizing study protocols, reports, and other documents.
    • Help maintain shared files and knowledge management systems.

    Safeguarding responsibilities: 

    • Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the programme’s goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
    • Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
    • Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so.

    Academic Qualifications: 

    • Recent graduate or current final-year student in international development, public policy, data sciences, or a related field.
    • Master’s degree (completed or in progress) is an advantage, but not required.

    Required Skills, Competencies & Knowledge:

    • Familiarity with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
    • Good prioritization and analytical skills.
    • Strong interpersonal, communication, and coordination skills.
    • Willingness to learn and adapt to new tools and platforms.
    • Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
    • Ability to exercise discretion when handling confidential or sensitive information.
    • Interest in the development sector and openness to working in a multicultural environment.
