    VP Tech License Sales

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    The VP Technology Sales will be leading the Technology Business Unit in Africa for the License business. As the Business Leader for the Technology Business Unit, he/she is responsible for developing a business plan and a go-to-market strategy that enables him/her to achieve the revenue and margin goals set for the unit and drive sustainable customer loyalty.

    Ideally, he/she will have an in-depth understanding of the drivers and issues faced by Oracle’s clients. He/she will have the ability to sell solutions to senior executives or at board level. He/she will also bring an experience managing sales and global accounts teams as well as selling through indirect channels and partners. He/she will have operated in formal or informal matrix organization contexts and have an experience managing through influence rather than direct control. He/she will be a great motivator, leader at all levels and can constructively drive change through an organization. He/she will have dealt with the press, media and public communication. Working with social partners/worker councils will have been part of his/her job as much as has the understanding of labor laws, practices & relationships.

    Specific Responsibilities:

    1. Responsible to deliver and manage a multimillion stream of business with Predictability, Accuracy and Linearity 
    2. Brings people together across geographies and disciplines to achieve results as a team and share best practices by driving customer success outcomes enabled by Oracle cloud
    3. Actively engages colleagues to achieve common goals and make joint decisions.
    4. Takes calculated risks to advance a collaborative relationship, foregoing personal objectives for the benefit of the group if necessary.
    5. Actively engages the team to develop plans and resolve issues through collaborative problem solving across disciplines and - if needed – geographies.

    8. Understands the customer’s organization, culture, and how things get done.
    9. Develops measurable customer-specific key performance indicators.

    13. Introduces incremental improvements to enhance business performance, using robust analysis and benchmarking.
    14. Acting as a trusted advisor. As technology becomes more and more persuasive in running organizations, clients expect solution providers to act as advisors and partners. The role is to act as a trusted advisor to its customer and advise them on important technology decisions. He/she should be close to the key decision-makers: CIOs, CEOs, business owners.
    15. Supporting clients in their transformation. Oracle should deliver value to its customers by offering innovative solutions. He/she should contribute to business growth by delivering value to the customers via innovative solutions (cloud for instance).

    1. The VP Technology License Sales will have to inspire, motivate, energize and weld together the Tech organization into a single integrated team.
    2. The VP Technology License Sales is Oracle’s main representative and ambassador for his business unit to all external stakeholders, e.g. customers, partners, governmental bodies, social partners, media, the community and internal stakeholders, e.g. employees. 
    3. The VP Technology License Sales needs to have expertise in managing direct managers and sub level managers as well.

    EDUCATION

    A Bachelors’ degree is preferred.  An advanced degree is a plus.
