    Team Leader, Service Provider Management General Insurance, Kenya

    Introduction

    Reporting to the Claims Manager, the job holder will ensure that service providers, both internal and external are managed in a professional manner thereby meeting the customer expectations and the Company's Corporate Objectives.

    Minimum Requirements

    • Degree
    • Diploma in Insurance
    • Basic computer skills
    • Negotiation skills
    • Good Communication and Interpersonal skills
    • Customer service skills
    • 4 years working experience in the insurance industry

    Job Specification

    • Monitor the performance of service providers for effective service delivery
    • Explore the better alternative ways of dealing with a claim so as to minimize claim expenses and costs where service providers are involved
    • Maintain effective business relationships by constantly interacting with service providers so as to ensure customers have a pleasant experience
    • Prepare management reports for the department to advice on the status and show the performance of the service providers at any one time
    • Provide feedback to claims on trends picked up during assessing and quality control audits. (Reporting on emerging Risks)
    • Effectively manage and control the quality of claims data
    • Effectively manage and control payments and releases
    • Adherence to SLA and Best Practices - Motor
    • Supervise, train, mentor and coach staff within the unit to ensure they remain motivated
    • Respond to customers queries and complaints and adhere to turn around times to resolve

    Claims Analyst -Recoveries General Insurance, Kenya

    Introduction

    Reporting to the Senior Legal Officer, the job holder will support the legal team in delivery of its recovery related mandates.

    Minimum Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree in Law- preferably someone who has finished from the Kenya School of Law or
    • Any degree with progression in Insurance Papers
    • Computer literacy
    • Good communication skills (written & oral)
    • IT proficient
    • Good assessment and analytical skills
    • Ability to interact at all levels
    • Report writing and presentation skills
    • Strong intellect and vision

    Job Specification

     Key outputs

    • Constantly monitor the recovery data.
    • Monitor and preventing recovery matters from running time barred
    • Issuing tracing instructions to investigators
    • Issuing recovery instructions to our advocates in the panel
    • Engaging other insurers in settling recovery matter on either swap or knock for knock
    • Updating the recovery tracker and tracking pending recovery suits in court

    Key tasks and responsibilities

    • Constant updating and keeping of the recovery data
    • Issuing instructions to advocates in our panel for matters relating to recovery.
    • Monitoring the attendance of our own witnesses in court in recovery matters
    • Notifying our witnesses of hearing dates.
    • Engaging other insurers in negotiating recovery matters
    • Keeping constant communication with our own advocates on judgment delivery date.
    • Attending court proceedings on behalf of the company in recovery suits
    • Calling up for recovery files from the company registry.
    • Monitor incoming and outgoing mails in relation to recovery matters
    • Updating the recovery tracker and tracking pending recovery suits in court
    • Issuing tracing instructions to tracers
