    IT Officer

    Job Purpose:

    Reporting to the IT Channels Team Lead, the IT Officer will be responsible for implementing and supporting eBanking solutions. The job incumbent will also be called upon to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Provide technical and functional support to eBanking applications such as Internet Banking, Mobile Banking, SMS banking and alert solutions and interdependent interfaces
    • Troubleshoot system issues and provide appropriate resolution
    • Ensure eBanking systems are available and working properly within appropriate response time
    • Perform tests on the system during off peak hours
    • Gather user requirements and translate into technical solutions
    • Evaluate impact of changes to existing systems and technical architecture
    • Liaise with suppliers for solving problems within agreed service level
    • Take ownership and handle end-to-end change/ problem management process
    • Assist users for test cases preparation and execution
    • Provide technical & functional support to the business
    • Ensure system maintenance/upgrades are properly implemented
    • Participate in project implementation & deliverables
    • Perform any other duties as may be assigned

    Qualifications, Experience & Skills:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or any related qualifications
    • 3-5 years’ experience in Banking solutions and well acquainted with Bank electronic solutions
    • Hands-on professional experience and knowledge of database query manipulation
    • Ability to work with office tools at intermediate expertise level
    • Proactive team player with excellent communication, interpersonal and analytical skills
    • Excellent organisational and time management skills
    • Fast learner
    • Experience in a Banking environment and understanding of Banking products will constitute a definite advantage

    Business Analyst - Corporate International Banking

    Purpose:

    Reporting to the Portfolio Lead and operating within the set policies, guidelines and regulations, the incumbent will be assisting the Relationship Managers in disbursement, maintaining and growing of the commercial banking customer portfolio within the related business segment. The incumbent will also be required to analyse corporate credit proposals, recommend client requests and prepare Early Alert/Watchlist reviews.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Conduct thorough analysis of proposals and assess the risks and impact from both the client’s and bank’s perspectives
    • Prepare credit proposals and recommendations together with the Relationship Manager in accordance with the Bank’s policies, guidelines and regulatory frameworks’ requirements
    • Support the Relationship Managers in reviewing reports on existing asset quality and collateral securing credit facilities
    • Analyse industry trends, competition moves and market profile
    • Develop effective working relationships with internal & external stakeholders for service standards
    • Prepare reports for Management as and when required
    • Monitor existing accounts to identify emerging credit concerns / warning signs
    • Ensure high level of service standards including high level of ethics and integrity in line with SBM values
    • Coordinate the closing of credit applications in compliance with the Bank’s lending policies and procedures
    • Prepare Early Alert / Watchlist reviews, whilst ensuring compliance to the general banking guidelines / regulations as set by the Bank of Mauritius

    Qualifications, Experience & Skills:

    • University degree in Finance / Accounting / Economics or any other relevant field
    • At least 2 years’ experience in the financial field (applicants with Financial Audit experience will be considered)
    • Thorough understanding of corporate banking products, commercial loan processing, documentation experience (interpretation of credit terms) and familiarity with Basel guidelines will be a definite advantage
    • Understanding of capital rules and local regulatory landscape with regards to corporate lending practices
    • Excellent analytical and technical skills with high attention to details
    • Good communication and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines

    Fund Administrator

    Job Purpose:

    Reporting to the Head of SBM Fund Services Ltd, the Fund Administrator will be called upon to perform valuation and administrative duties in respect of funds, with a view to calculating the Net Asset Value (NAV) and preparation of financial statements for Funds.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Prepare valuation and computation of the NAV of funds under management
    • Prepare monthly billing for the different funds
    • Prepare quarterly management accounts and yearly financial statements for different funds
    • Liaise with internal and external auditors, MRA and other external parties
    • Ensure quarterly returns are sent to FSC within deadlines
    • Preparation of tax computation and ensure quarterly/annual tax return are filed with the MRA within deadlines
    • Assume responsibility for all such other accounting and administrative responsibilities that will be assigned from time to time
    • Disseminate NAV prices of the CIS funds to the Fund Managers
    • Extract prices from Bloomberg for the day in view of ensuring that requested information is being used in the valuation process
    • Prepare cash flow for the funds for onward submission to the Fund Managers
    • Ensure high level of service standards, including high level of ethics and integrity in line with SBM values
    • Perform any other duties as assigned

    Qualifications, Experience & Skills:

    • University degree in Banking/Finance/Accounting or minimum ACCA Level 2
    • At least 2 years’ working experience in Banking and/or Finance field
    • Good analytical, communication and interpersonal skills with attention to details

    Contact Centre Agent - Contact Centre

    Job Purpose:

    Reporting to the Contact Center Lead, the Contact Centre Agent will be called upon to provide first assistance to internal and external clients’ queries, in view of providing excellent customer service as per set internal guidelines and Banking regulations so as to generate positive feedbacks, retain customers and maintain the reputation of the Bank.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Handling complaints/issues/queries of internal and external customers in order to provide high quality service
    • Attending to internal and external customers’ mails and chats in order to provide better assistance to their queries
    • Providing customers with product and service information to meet their requests
    • Identifying and escalating issues where appropriate to ensure proper service is delivered to the customers
    • Ensuring the follow up of customers’ queries

    Qualifications, Experience & Skills:

    • Diploma in Communication/Management
    • At least 1 year of relevant experience
    • Knowledge of contact center telephony and technology will be an advantage
    • Fluent in English and French, both verbal and written
