    Strategic Information Specialist

    Job Summary.

    • Under the supervision of the Strategic Information Lead, the SI Specialist will provide technical assistance and capacity building to M&E and data management staff at Point of Service in support of SI activities in Migori County. He/She will provide support to the M&E and data management components at the Point of Service level.

    Roles and Responsibilities:

    • Provide specialized training to facility and other partner staff in Health Information Systems including Kenya EMR and other databases.
    • Provide mentorship to site HRIOs on HIV related M&E systems.
    • Provide support and data analysis training to health facility staff with focus on use of Kenya EMR
    • Conduct routine data management including data collection, collation, analysis and reporting.
    • Ensure that all national HIV related tools are available in supported facilities and health care workers are mentored to use them appropriately.
    • Data analysis, generating of reports and presentation to the program on a monthly/quarterly/annual basis to inform the program/donor/MOH.
    • Develop and revise M&E processes and related tools that support quality assurance for key program areas.
    • Provide capacity building and other form of support to site level staff on M&E activities such as data collection, analysis and interpretation.
    • Conduct data quality assessments with strategic action plans and share assessment findings for improvement.
    • Conduct targeted site visits to provide mentorship on all issues related to Strategic Information.
    • Conduct data quality control/assurance activities.
    • Manage project databases and generate reports for donor reporting and project management.
    • Develop SQL queries and related activities.

    Required Qualifications.

    • A bachelor’s degree in science, Health Information Systems, Public Health, Health Informatics, Statistics, Mathematics or any other relevant degree.
    • Those with Master’s degree will have added advantage.
    • Training in M&E from a credible institution is desirable
    • Advanced computer skills including advanced excel, MS access, PowerPoint etc.
    • Training in a statistical data analysis software is desirable

    Experience:

    • A minimum of three (3) years’ experience working with HIV data systems with strong analytical skills

    IT Officer-Systems

    Job Summary

    The primary function of this position is to provide technical assistance to the service delivery team. Maintain and monitor systems to ensure controls and processes are compliant. Ensure systems stability, performance optimization, ERP module enhancements, and Power BI reporting, as well as provide user support.

    Key Responsibilities

    System Maintenance & Support

    • Conduct regular system health checks and performance tuning.
    • Apply updates, patches, and security enhancements.
    • Provide user support, troubleshooting, and training.
    • Ensure data integrity and system stability.
    • Recognizes problems by identifying abnormalities, reporting violations. Implements security improvements by assessing current situation; evaluating trends; anticipating requirements. 

    Power BI Reports Development

    • Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports for analytics.
    • Ensure real-time data synchronization between ERP and Power BI.
    • Optimize reports for performance and usability.

    System Integration

    • Implement seamless integration between Dynamics 365 ERP and other internal/external applications.
    • Ensure data consistency across systems.
    • Develop and maintain APIs and middleware for integration.

    Enhancements

    • Improve financial reporting, budget tracking, and compliance.
    • Automate workflows and enhance vendor and commitment reports.
    • Streamline HR, Admin and grants modules
    • Enhance user experience and self-service capabilities.

    Qualifications: 

    The ideal candidate should have:

    • A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software engineering or a related field.
    • 5+ years of experience in Microsoft Dynamics 365 ERP implementation, maintenance, and customization.
    • Expertise in Power BI report development and data visualization.
    • Strong knowledge of system integration, API development, and middleware.
    • Proficiency in SQL, Power Platform, and automation tools.
    • Excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting, and user support skills.

    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with multiple departments.
    • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
    • Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities effectively
