    Fundraising and Institutional Partnership Development Lead

    Main purpose

    The Fundraising and Institutional Partnership Development Lead shall be responsible for the design and implementation of fundraising strategies polices and activities aimed at generation of adequate resources for delivery of the Country Strategy Paper and support to strengthening partnerships with the institutions of communities living in poverty and exclusion in accordance with the core values and principles of the organisation. In addition, the Head shall deepen relationships with institutional donors; oversee Corporates, Trust and Foundations and facilitate linkages between local, country program and international fundraising teams in the GS and Funding Affiliates to deliver on strategic objectives of resource generation and donor relations. The job holder will oversee design of strategic focus for local voluntary fundraising including guiding the communications for fundraising approach to profile and brand the organization as the strategic partner of choice for funding and partnership. The holder of the position is a member of senior management team and is expected to ensure organizational efficiency and effectiveness through participation in decision making.

    Minimum Requirements

    1. A bachelor’s degree in social sciences, policy development or its equivalent from a recognized University. A Masters degree in  similar fields will  be an added advantage;
    2. Eight (8) years minimum working experience is essential;
    3. At least 5 years’ experience in fundraising and experience in resource mobilization and donor relationship building levels is essential;
    4. Experience in proposal writing is desirable.

    Internal Auditor and Quality Assurance Manager

    Minimum Requirements

    1. Bachelor of Commerce Degree or its equivalent from a recognized University;
    2. CPA, ACCA or other internationally recognized accounting qualification;
    3. Three (3) years’ experience with risk assessment, control analysis, audit procedures and standards and the internal framework of control preferably within the non-profit sector.

    Programs and Strategy Lead

    Main purpose

    Reporting to the Executive Director, the Program and Strategy Lead oversees the strategy and management of the team ensuring women rights, accountability and human rights-based approaches are integrated in grounding our work while leading creation of platforms for influencing and engaging in national policy  research, advocacy and campaign aligns to Federation’s campaign signature. The job holder shall collaborate with the Executive Director to deliver on AAIK’s strategic role in the federation.

    As a  member of Uamuzi – AAIK’s Senior Leadership Team. S/he will Work with other senior leaders to shape AAIK’s vision and goals, oversee the strategy and planning of program design and development. S/he will foster a healthy team culture of inclusion and continuous improvement and lead recruitment and talent development for the Program and strategy team to deliver sound programme design and development. S/he will manage up to 60% of the organizational budget for programme implementation.

    Minimum Requirements

    1. Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences or its equivalent from a recognized University. A Masters degree in Business Administration or Social Sciences will be an added advantage.
    2. Have at least ten (10) years working experience in policy/programmes function in an INGO or a large organization of which at least five (5) years must have been at senior management position;
    3. Have demonstrated in-depth understanding of programming issues and Policy work at organizational, national and international levels;
    4. Have practical experience in donor reporting, designing, setting up and coordinating, monitoring, evaluation and impact assessment systems and processes;
    5. Have an understanding of gender issues in development and demonstrable commitment to promoting gender equity within the organization and in programme work.

    Human Resources and Organizational Development Manager

    Main purpose

    The purpose of the position is to provide strategic leadership to AAIK’s human resources and organisational development processes and promote its vision, mission and goals with the aim of ensuring effective, harmonious and interdependent themes, functions and programs within the country programme. This will extend to external interactions with key stake holders, partners and consultants. The position holder will ensure sustained Organizational Effectiveness by developing and implementing structures and systems in response to changing organizational contexts, strategies and priorities.

    Minimum requirements

    1. Bachelors degree in social sciences or arts/humanities;
    2. Postgraduate Degree;
    3. Higher National or Diploma in Human Resource Management or CHRP Certification;
    4. Membership of relevant professional Institute IHRM;
    5. Masters in related field is an added advantage;
    6. Six (6) years minimum working experience with At least four (4) years HROD experience in a large organisation.
    7. Strong demonstrable experience of Human Resources planning, recruitment, performance management, design and implementation of progressive HR strategies, systems, procedures and practices and other core HROD deliverables.
    8. Good knowledge of National Labour laws and Employee Relations Systems
    9. Use technology to support the delivery of people practices, and improve the worker experience

    Finance and Operations Lead

     Main purpose

    The holder of the position is a member of Senior Management Team (SMT0 and provides strategic financial support to the Country SMT in strategic planning, reporting, analysis and risk management. The role shall be responsible for effective financial and operational management in accordance with AAIK and AAI policies, regulations and international accounting standards and to provide accurate and timely financial information to AAIK management and other stakeholders.

    Specifically, responsible for monitoring financial and operational management and  performance of  all programs/projects/sub-units and partners in the country, ensuring compliance with global standards, systems and processes, and law of land as well as donors’ rules on financial management.

    Minimum Requirements

     

    • A Bachelors degree in Business Management, Finance of related field from a recognized University.  An MBA or MSc. or MA in Business management from a recognized University will be an  added advantage;
    • Be a Certified Public Accountants (CPA (K)) or ACCA (final) or its equivalent and a  member with good standing of relevant professional body e.g. ICPAK;
    • Have at least Eight (8) years working experience in financial management and accounting work in an INGO or a large organization of which at least three (3) years must have been at management position
    • Experience in preparing and analysing financial reports and plans, and drawing insight for use by management and different donors;
    • Have experience in development and implementation of financial systems and operations;
    • Have practical experience in donor grants management & reporting management reporting and statutory reporting in compliance with IFRS.
