    Web Developer

    Our client is currently looking for a Web developer.

    Responsibilities

    • Develop new user-facing features
    • Use markup languages like HTML to create user-friendly web pages
    • Maintain and improve website
    • Optimize applications for maximum speed
    • Design mobile-based features
    • Build reusable code and libraries for future use
    • Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs
    • Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders
    • Collaborate with back-end developers and web designers to improve usability
    • Get feedback from, and build solutions for, users and customers
    • Write functional requirement documents and guides
    • Create quality mockups and prototypes
    • Help back-end developers with coding and troubleshooting
    • Ensure high quality graphic standards and brand consistency
    • Stay up-to-date on emerging technologies

    Requirements

    • Proven work experience as a Front-end developer
    • Hands on experience with markup languages
    • Experience with HTML5, JavaScript, CSS and jQuery
    • Good knowledge of advanced JavaScript libraries and frameworks, such as AngularJS, ReactJS etc. is a definite added advantage
    • Familiarity with browser testing and debugging
    • Good understanding of asynchronous request handling, partial page updates, and AJAX
    • Basic knowledge of image authoring tools, to be able to crop, resize, or perform small adjustments on an image.
    • Familiarity with tools such as Gimp or Photoshop is a plus
    • Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as GIT etc
    • In-depth understanding of the entire web development process (design, development and deployment)
    • Understanding of layout aesthetics
    • Knowledge of SEO principles
    • Familiarity with software like Adobe Suite, Photoshop and content management systems
    • An ability to perform well in a fast-paced environment
    • Excellent analytical and multitasking skills

    An established international freight forwarders and custom broker company is looking for a high-performing Sales Manager to help them meet their customer acquisition and revenue growth targets by keeping the company competitive and innovative.

    Job Summary:

    The job holder will be responsible for maximizing sales team potential, crafting sales plans and directing the sales activities of the company to achieve sales objectives.

    Responsibilities

    Sales Strategy and Planning

    • Design and implement a strategic business plan that expands company’s customer base and ensure its strong presence.
    • Identify emerging markets and market shifts while being fully aware of new services and competition status.
    • Co-ordinate sales action plans for individual sales people.
    • Liaise with other company functions to ensure achievement of sales objectives.
    • Assist with the development of sales presentations and proposals.
    • Forecast annual, quarterly and monthly sales revenue.
    • Analyse data to identify sales opportunities.
    • Generate timely sales reports.

    Performance Management

    Training

    • Determine training needs among Sales Executives; observing sales encounters; studying sales results reports and conferring with management.
    • Develop individual results by maintaining policy and procedure resources; providing coaching; conducting training sessions; developing outcome improvement resources
    • Design quality sales training programs
    • Schedule individual and team training plans on a regular basis
    • Evaluate strengths and weaknesses to identify training needs.

    Requirements

    • Proven over 6 years’ B2B sales experience
    • Knowledgeable in Air/ Sea Imports, Customs clearance, in transit cargo to East Africa, cross trade businesses, Project Cargo
    • Experience in aggressive sales team performance management
    • Excellent business acumen coupled with a business development track record.
    • Natural communicator with excellent negotiation, persuasive, presentation and interpersonal skills.
    • Highly driven with enthusiasm to meet initiate change and to cope under demanding pressure.
    • Added advantage if the incumbent has experience of hard core Sales in Uganda, Rwanda, South Sudan besides Kenya

    Customer Service Agent

    Our client is seeking to recruit a motivated and self-driven professional to fill in the following position in their Nairobi office:
     
    The Customer Service Agent will be responsible for responding promptly and effectively to incoming customer calls, chats and emails as well as providing technical support to customers.

    Laundry Supervisor

    Our client a hotel in Nairobi seeks to recruit an experienced Laundry supervisor with similar experience.
    The job holder is responsible for supervising the laundry department and ensuring it runs smoothly.

    Responsibilities

    • To supervise the laundry team and ensure they are attending to their duties well
    • Handle guest complaints and resolve any issues arising
    • To check daily cleaning of workplace
    • To ensure washing machines are in good working condition
    • To assist in preparing month end figures on linen quantities used per month for Rooms / Food and Beverage.
    • To communicate of shortage of linen and replacing written off items with new
    • To spot check the uniform exchange and check timely return of clean uniforms from laundry
    • Maintain a close working relationship with the Housekeeping department.
    • Ensure the highest standards of cleanliness, maintenance and safety are achieved in the laundry department and throughout the hotel
    • Maximize hotel profitability by properly managing expenses, labour and other material resources
    • Participates in regular inventories and analysis of losses.

    Qualifications

    • Diploma in House Keeping / Laundry
    • Knowledge of computer applications
    • Working Experience of at least three to five years in a similar position
    • Excellent communication, interpersonal and supervisory skills
