    Marketing Manager

    Role Purpose:

    Under the guidance & direction of the Head of Sales and Marketing this position is responsible for the end-to-end planning, implementation and execution of the Jambojet
    marketing strategy The Marketing Manager is responsible for driving brand performance, growing brand equity, awareness and engagement. This role supports customer communication strategy, planning and oversees campaign creation and execution including agency management (PR, media, creative agencies).

    Key Accountabilities/Responsibilities

    • Responsible for media budget management and allocations, in consultation with Head of Marketing
    • Implement below and above the line campaigns to support the marketing campaigns based on market dynamics.
    • Explore and incorporate new approaches to brand innovation
    • Agency Contracting and Management
    • Bachelor’s degree in Business related field
    • Clear understanding of the commercial operations of the aviation industry, preferably in a low cost carrier
    • At least 3-5 year experience in a busy commercial organization, working in Marketing and with specific responsibility for Media and Marketing Strategy/operations.
    • in a media agency with competency in offline and PR strategy, execution, measurement and insights
    • Good stakeholder management skills and strong budget management skills
    • Proven ability to perform effectively in a complex, changing environment.
    • Proven ability to take ownership of the problem at hand and do whatever it takes to get the job done.
    • Strong interpersonal skills are required, as well as excellent verbal communication and presentation skills

    Executive Assistant / Office Manager

    REF: VAC04/02/19

    Location: Embakasi, Nairobi

    Reports to: Managing Director/ Chief Executive Officer (MD/CEO)

    Role Purpose:

    To provide support to MD/CEO by providing executive level administrative support

    Ensure the smooth running of the office, on a day-to-day basis

    Key Accountabilities/Responsibilities

    • Executive Assistant
      • Manage the MD/CEO calendar (planning and scheduling meetings, conferences, teleconferences, and travel)
      • Prepare meeting’s agenda and provide background information; Read documents, carry out research, compile and analyze relevant information; and draft letters, documents, presentations and other communications from the Managing Director in the appointments schedule Draft, take dictation, type correspondence and reports
      • Coordinate document movement from the MD/CEO’s Office to relevant parties for appropriate action, follow up, and report on progress
      • Maintain effective filing and record management system for MD/CEO’s Office and ensure safety security and confidentiality
      • Attend to internal and external visitors to the MD/CEO’s Office
      • Manage executive communication including taking calls, responding to emails and taking messages for the MD/CEO’s action
      • Liaise with management, staff, board members, customers, government departments, and stake holders for effective and efficient communication and operations.
      • Document & follow up on work required by the management team including updates & progress reports to facilitate business decisions.
    • Office Manager
      • Point person for maintenance, mailing, shipping, supplies, equipment, bills and errands
      • Optimizing administrative procedures (i.e. intra workstation communication, office supplies, office furniture, inventory control, transport logistics)
      • Manage Office Kitchen and Cleaning Services, including supervision of staff in said areas
      • Carry out workplace registration and licensing

    Knowledge, Skills, Experience

    • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration
    • A minimum of two (2) years of related work experience
    • Ability to design on administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as managing files and records, designing forms, and other office procedures
    • Must demonstrate commitment to operational effectiveness
    • Should have ability to solve problems by applying relevant business knowledge
    • Ability to carry out independent research and initiate official documents, reports, and presentations an added advantage
    • Must have commendable skills in written and oral communication
    • Must be able to work under pressure
    • Must have knowledge in use of MS office packages including advanced word, PowerPoint and excel
    • Results driven: Positive, energetic self-starter with a high level of personal drive and resilience
    • Well organized and flexible worker

    Head of Quality

    REF: VAC02/02/19

    Location: Embakasi, Nairobi

    Reports to: Accountable Manager

    Role Purpose:

    To provide a focal point for the development, coordination and compliance of Quality standards in order to meet the requirements to maintain the Air Operators Certificate, and IATA Operating Standards.

    Key Accountabilities/Responsibilities

    • Maintain a Quality Management Systems for the airline that ensures high performance standards are achieved to satisfy KCAA regulations, company policies & procedures and industry requirements.
    • Ensure development of Company Documentation Management System and operational manuals in compliance with KCAA regulations and industry best practices.
    • Liaise with Kenya Civil Aviation Authority so as to ensure AOC is renewed and Operations Specifications are acquired and kept current in accordance with Kenya Civil Aviation regulations.
    • Provide an independent assessment and overview of the Quality management of the maintenance, operational and corporate activities and where issues are not being addressed adequately; advise or raise with the Managing Director/CEO and other senior management.
    • Ensure appropriate corrective or preventive actions that address relevant compliance and/or conformity issues have been implemented and are being monitored for effectiveness.
    • Must ensure that all C of A (Certificate of Airworthiness) for all aircrafts are valid
    • Ensure communication and coordination with operational managers in the management of operational risk.
    • Ensure AMO (Air maintenance Organization) compliance with KCAA regulations
    • Ensure AMP (Air Maintenance Program) is adhered to
    • Develop and implement a thorough audit cycle that address all areas of Jambojet’s operations, systems, infrastructure, partnerships
    • Maintain an open liaison with regulatory bodies and other airlines worldwide;

    Knowledge, Skills, Experience

    • Degree holder, technically qualified in the field of aircraft maintenance or flight or ground operations
    • Minimum 3 years’ experience in the field of aircraft maintenance, or flight or ground operations
    • Has successfully completed training in Quality Management Systems certification recognized by KCAA
    • Certification in Quality Management/Audit Technique desirable
    • Sound awareness of Commercial Airline industry dynamics and business environment.
    • Experience in documentation procedures an added advantage
    • Strong commercial attitude, with the ability to think strategically.
    • Good analytical and critical thinking skills, problem-solving, judgment and decision-making skills.
    • Excellent communication (written and verbal) skills. Ability to communicate technical information in a clear and concise manner as well as communicate across multiple business & customers groups.
