    Deputy Commissioner – Trade Facilitation (Authorised Economic Operator, Pre- Arrival Clearance, Port Charter)

    Kenya Revenue Authority seeks a self-driven and performance oriented individual to fill the position of Deputy Commissioner – Trade Facilitation (Authorised Economic Operator, Pre- Arrival Clearance, Remissions and Port Charter) within the Customs and Border Control Department. Reporting to the Commissioner- Customs & Border Control. The job holder will be responsible for coordinating Trade Facilitation Programme initiatives in compliance with national and international trade treaties and conventions on behalf of the Authority.

    Key responsibilities of the job

    1. Development and implementation of Pre-Arrival Clearance and AEO Programmes that guide the application, interpretation of Customs Laws and compliance
    2. Ensure compliance with Trade Facilitation Agreements and Port Charter Commitments related to Customs management.

    Purpose of the job:

    The Deputy Commissioner – Regional Coordination will be responsible for providing strategic oversight to all revenue collection and administrative activities any of the six Regions.

    Key Responsibilities of the job:

    1. Liaison and stakeholder engagements with various arms of government, county governments, border management committees and multi-agency task forces.

    Manager – Survey & Business Analysis

    Main Purpose of Job

    1.  Plan, conduct surveys - primarily designing questionnaires or supervising survey teams - and analyze and interpret the survey data. Conducting business analysis in order to providing information on trends in profitability and business activity and provide actionable recommendations to the management.

    Assistant Manager – Risk Analysis

    Main Purpose of Job

    To facilitate risk assessment and analysis for appropriate interventions of identified risks to revenue; Domestic Taxes and Customs and Border Control Departments.

    Key Performance Areas

    1. Supervise officers performing risk assessment and identification activities on a day to day basis
    2. Planning analysis of “Macro” and operational Business Impact Analysis and to prioritize response within revenue departments Customs and Border Control and Domestic Taxes.
