    Senior Risk & Compliance Officer

    Reporting To: Risk & Compliance Manager


    Main Role: Reporting to the Risk & Compliance Manager, the Senior Risk & Compliance Officer assists in overseeing and implementation of the organization risk management and compliance


    Duties & Responsibilities

    • Assist in the development and execution of the risk management strategy.
    • Provide guidance, training and support to the entire staff, intermediaries in compliance with the group’s enterprise risk management requirements to ensure risk management is aligned with the strategy development process and execution
    • Ensure each business unit and function have appropriatetly identified, quantified and managed risks and escalated to Management and Board for appropriate action.
    • Develop risk mitigation plans and controls, policies and procedures for the principal risks
    • Conduct periodic review of organization compliance with regulatory and supervisory requirements.
    • Conduct regular assessments of the compliance function and systems and implement or monitor needed improvements.
    • Develop internal policies relating to Anti Money Laundering within the organization and oversee the implementation.
    • Provide Support and monitor testing of the Business Continuity Plans and provide appropriate status reports to the Management and Board.
    • Promote a risk mitigating culture across the business to ensure that responsibilities and accountabilities are understood.

    Minimum Academic Qualifications & Experience

    • A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration or a related field
    • Certification in Enterprise Risk Management or equivalent professional training/certification in risk management and compliance
    • Professional certification such as CPA, ACCA, CFA or CISA will be an added advantage.
    • Minimum of four (4) years’ experience in the insurance industry
    • Proficient in Microsoft office suite
    • Ability to analyze and interpret statistics

    Branch Manager

    Reporting To: Head of Business Development & Marketing

    Main Role: The position is responsible for overall branch operations, developing and growing the business by establishing and maintaining good working relationship between various
    stakeholders at the branch level.

    Duties & Responsibilities

    • Develop and coordinate the implementation of the branch annual work plans and budgets in line with the organizational strategy.
    • Responsible for the day to day operations within the branch and the overall supervision of all staff.
    • Develop effective marketing strategies at the branch level by creating sustainable and comprehensive sales and marketing plans.
    • Obtain requests for quotations, assess as per underwriting/rating guide and other guidance, prepare quotations and deliver to the clients/brokers or business development staff.
    • Ensure timely renewal for existing business.
    • Collect premium from clients and ensure compliance of the organization credit control policy.
    • Responsible for vetting claims at reporting stage, receive information on all potential claims and liaise with claims department to ensure that the claim is registered and subsequently follow up to ensure that claims are processed expeditiously.
    • Ensure proper documentation is mantained within the branch and all communication and transactions are recorded appropriately.
    • Organize and coordinate advertising/product campaigns with mass media, press releases and public relations activities with targeted communications including brand awareness and visibility at the branch level.
    • Prepare and submit weekly and monthly reports to the head office.
    • Conduct market intelligence to inform product development/customization and pricing.

    Minimum Academic Qualifications & Experience

    • A Bachelor’s degree in a business related course or its equivalent from a reputable institution.
    • Professional qualification in Insurance (ACII, FLMI or AIIK)
    • At least six (6) years’ experience in the insurance industry, and a minimum of two (2) years in a management/supervisory role
    • Proficient in Microsoft office suite
    • Ability to analyze and interpret statistical data
    • Strong people engagement and influencing skills with the ability to build relationships, communicate, present, negotiate and resolve conflicts

    Business Development and Marketing Manager

    Reporting To: Chief Executive Officer

    Main Role: Formulation and implementation of Marketing Strategies, Product Development, Branding, Corporate Communication and Relationship Management.

    Duties & Responsibilities

    • Develop and implement business development strategic plans in line with the organizational strategy.
    • Develop annual marketing initiatives that support the organizational objectives, implementing the marketing campaigns to support the objectives and updating marketing strategies based on market dynamics.
    • Coordinate the development and delivery of KUSCCO Mutual product specific and value add marketing information including presentations, factsheets, strategy briefs, commentaries, multi-media updates, brochures & digital marketing deliverables.
    • Be in charge of the marketing budget and optimize on spend to ensure return on investment. Report on all marketing functions to management and oversee the daily functioning of the department
    • Identifying strategic partnerships and potential marketing alliances for the organization.
    • Meet customer service financial objectives by forecasting requirements; preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances and initiating corrective actions.
    • Create and build KUSCCO Mutual brand ensuring that it becomes a household name.
    • Monitoring brand attributes implementation and ensuring their consistency throughout the organization.
    • Spearhead consumer profiling database of intermediaries targeting increase of revenues per account
    • Implement approved advertising, branding, promotional and marketing activities.
    • Organize and coordinate advertising/product campaigns with mass media, press releases and public relations activities with targeted communications including brand awareness and visibility.
    • Manage content creation, delivery and engagement on social media, increasing visibility for new and existing products.
    • Improves customer service quality results by evaluating, and re-designing processes; establishing and communicating service metrics; monitoring and analyzing results and implementing recommended changes.
    • Keep abreast with industry trends/issues and regulatory developments within the region and beyond.

    Minimum Academic Qualifications & Experience

    • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Communication or any other relevantmfield. A Master’s degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Communication, Strategic Management or any other relevant field will be an added advantage.
    • Professional qualification in Insurance (ACII, FLMI or AIIK)
    • Have a minimum of eight (8) years’ experience in the insurance industry, and a minimum of three (3) years in a management role with proven result oriented track record.
    • Experience in managing and optimizing targeted digital campaigns (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter etc)
    • Experienced leader of diverse people and processes with ability to lead, develop and direct team members to deliver high performance targets and standards.
    • A demonstrated adaptability to drive change and transformation.
