    Inside Sales Manager

    This is a new role that will be responsible for designing, setting up, developing, manpower planning and managing an inside sales organization within our Sales Department. The scope of the role will include setting up all systems, processes and methodologies to deliver and exceed expectation against the strategic business plan. The overall aim being to achieve 50% of the total Company sales as a result of Inside Sales Organization.

    High level practical experience in inside sales management, coaching, mentoring and development of inside sales personnel are key success factors of the role. In addition to the above, strong leadership skills and ability to motivate others (“to hit their sales numbers) are mandatory requirements. This is a sales numbers driven role reporting to the Head Sales.

    Key Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Design, develop, set up and manage a functional Inside Sales Organization in line with our strategic business plan
    • Create and operationalize systems, methodologies, processes, procedures, policies with the aim of achieving 50% of the total company sales as a result of Inside Sales activities.
    • Build a high performing, functional, energetic and motivated Inside Sales Team of not less than 15 people
    • Design, develop and execute from time to time coaching, mentoring and development sessions for the Inside Sales Team based on well-articulated & current curriculum.
    • Creation of sales leads, initiation of prospect calls, cold calling and establishment of ongoing rapport with existing and potential customers, develop & keep expanding a wide client database of warm leads and maintain a successful conversation rate of not less than 40% of all calls made.
    • In line with the overall strategic business plan, design and implement an Inside Sales Incentive Scheme to deliver the agreed upon sales targets.
    • To own and manage the Inside Sales Cost of Acquisition within the set parameters and as guided by the company’s business plan.
    • Manage the day to day people dynamics of the Inside Sales Team and lead by example to achieve the best possible results within cost effective framework with the team available and in the context of the available legal framework.
    • Monitor sales statistics to keep track of sales quota, inventory requirements and customer preferences
    • Manage customer relationship activities including statistical reports, sales performance reports, and data essential to maintain KPI measurements to track Inside Sales team performance. Helps develop and document KPI measurement tools.
    • Act as first point of contact for customers, providing support to customers where applicable in liaison with the customer service team and be involved in Marketing activities when called upon.

    Minimum Qualification

    • Must have set up, designed, developed and managed a functional Inside Sales Team
    • A minimum of 5-years’ experience in a similar role directly managing an Inside Sales Team of not less than 10 people.
    • You must be able to demonstrate “owning a sales number” and show how you achieved success in your previous role as an Inside Sales Manager.
    • Have exceptional interpersonal skills capable of influencing and delivering results in a highly cross functional role.
    • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal including good presentation skills
    • Previous experience working in a startup is essential for the role.

    Field Sales Manager

    Roles Summary

    The role is responsible for designing, developing, building, hiring, supervising and organizing the direct Field Sales team in all areas where they operate on the poa! network. In-charge of developing and deploying profitable acquisition strategies to meet targets and coordinating with the business on marketing and lead generation activities to exceed set business goals.

    Key Duties & Responsibilities

    • Achieve and sustain average sales target of 300 sales per field sales team on a rolling 3 months basis with a cost of sale of less than $20 per customer across the channel.
    • To mentor, lead, coach and performance manage efforts of all field sales teams by conducting monthly & quarterly performance reviews, training and developmental needs analysis, and coaching & mentoring sessions of the current and the next generation of sales team leaders
    • Achieve 100% compliance to channel specific sales process by quality checking and review sales process across the channel.
    • Hiring, resource & budgetary planning and profitably retain adequate field sales manpower to meet planned sales targets and business growth expectation including leadership development
    • Develop and deploy new field sales strategies that will generate new leads for achieving agreed sales targets and support scaling up plans for sustained performance beyond Nairobi region.
    • Accurate, timely and comprehensive sales performance reporting of all the field sales activities including lead generation, sales forecast per network and performance per field team
    • Contract a minimum of 480 buildings per month in the assigned territories to support sales activities and ensure zero network downtime due to community management related issues

    Starting as a Field Sales Representative you'll be selling Poa services in our coverage regions.The overall purpose of the role includes;-

    Achieving the set sales targets through excellent field salesmanship, creation of sales leads, initiation of prospects through customer visits and establishment of ongoing rapport with existing and potential customers. The role is further responsible for increasing the acquisition rate of home broadband customers within the selected regions by selling to individual homes in our areas of coverage. This is a sales number driven role reporting to the respective region sales Team Leader.

    Key Duties and Responsibilities

    • Performs sales activities for an assigned geographical area to achieve and/or exceed assigned sales targets objectives.
    • Develops action plans aimed at achieving new home broadband customers monthly sales target.
    • Creation of sales leads, initiation of prospect through customer visits, and establishment of ongoing rapport with existing and potential customers.
    • Plans & implements proper customer visits, ensuring balance between new prospects and follow –ups
    • Develop Prospects weekly route plan, visits, call and contacts list
    • Conduct daily market visits engagements with clients within the allocated territories
    • Maintain sales records and prepares sales reports as required (Pipeline, projections, planned visits)
    • Continually monitor own performance against visits and/or call plans and targets and takes remedial action where required
    • Remain knowledgeable of company’s products/services to facilitate sales efforts
    • Continuously promote products and services with a view to increase subscriber numbers and achieve sales targets
    • Maintain knowledge of and reports on new developments in the marketplace with regards to accounts and prospects:
    • Monitor competitor activity within their region and reports with recommendations for action
    • Notes any cases of customer dissatisfaction and addresses or reports to the appropriate parties for action, and follows up to ensure resolution and provides feedback to the customer

    Minimum Qualification

    • Minimum of 2-years’ demonstrable field sales experience in a B2C set up
    • Working experience in Telecoms, ICT, ISP is highly desirable.
    • You must be able to demonstrate “owning a sales number” and show over-achievement of sales targets month to month.

    Remuneration

    This role has an exciting commission structure that allows you to have NO LIMIT to what you can earn! You will start off with a monthly retainer of Ksh.20,000/- (Twenty Thousand Shillings Only) plus commissions that are directly linked to every sale you make.

    Market Expansion Representative

    The overall purpose of the role is to:

    Ensuring early market analysis, acquisition of tower building with clear documentation and early adoptation of all new areas that Poa! launches into. Combining community interaction, branding and launching of UKO poa! sites. The role will be responsible for implementing market expansion strategies as will as building and sustaining key relationships with a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders including key state officials , local government officials, community leaders, organized community group members, customers and potential tower hosting building. Its further responsible for profitable negotiating and contracting buildings for new network areas.

    Key duties & Responsibilities

    • Ensure a final "Go/No Go" market assessment in any new area to ensure all desktop, technical and research bases analysis is complimented with on -the-ground validation
    • Understand and communicate the "informal community dynamics" by getting dep into each community and their leaders and understanding the challenges and opportunities for poa!
    • Ensure the lowest cost per tower commercial deals for all deployments of network by negotiating within the constraints by the company to ensure the best value commercial deals for the business at all times both on the supplier and customer side
    • Ensure all major Sambazas in a new community are identified, known and documented. Conversations have been held with all about wholesale provision of capacity to them. Preferably sign at least one Sambaza before handover to the sales team
    • Accurate and daily periodic performance reporting of network expansion activities including findings and insights that shape expansion strategies
    • Define and maintain re-order levels of all collateral (half coats, t-shirts, polos, fliers and posters


    Minimum Qualifications

    • A minimum of 3 years' hands on experience in market acquisition, sales, market analysis and research
    • A minimum of a collage diploma in business management field
    • Must have a minimum of a bachelor degree in any relevant business field
    • Field work experience in operation with informal communities

    Competencies and behaviors

    • Salesmanships ability to proactively source and approach leads (homes/Sambaza) in the field
    • Good interpersonal relationship ability that will aid the establishment of valuable working relationships with key stakeholders, landlords and caretakers in the new markets.

    Sales Team Leader

    The Field Sales Team Leader will be responsible for managing and operating one of the geographic Field Sales teams, ensuring the lowest possible cost of acquisition for the geography by driving day to day performance and efficiencies of the Field Sales Agents. He/she will always ensure clear and accurate management and reporting through the Field channels, overall delivers against (and exceeds if possible) the business plan.
