    Accountant

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Maintaining account receivable and payable ledgers, files and records.
    • Generating invoices, debtor account statements and ensuring the accounts are reconciled and maintained within the agreed terms.
    • Performing debtor account reconciliations, investigating and resolving any irregularities or enquiries thereto.
    • Assisting in debt follow-up for the over-due accounts.
    • Generating receivable and payable reports as may be required.
    • Reconciling supplier accounts and preparing payments thereto.
    • Performing bank reconciliations for assigned M-pesa tills and bank accounts.
    • Ensure that records comply with laws and regulations.
    • Compute taxes owed, prepare tax returns, ensure prompt payment
    • Timely posting and processing journal entries to ensure all business transactions are up to date
    • Provide direction during stock take so as to ensure proper revenue reporting
    • Ensure all statutory details are accurate and paid on time
    • Assist in preparation of management reports.
    • Petty Cash Issuance and control and reconciliations
    • Monthly stock takes and reconciliation of Variances and follow up with relevant team for variance explanation and clearance
    • Daily confirmation of the production report posting
    • Undertake all other role or assignment given by management.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting is desirable
    • A minimum of CPA section 4 or its equivalent.
    • Minimum 3 years’ experience in both receivables and payables management.
    • Must have experience in FMCG, manufacturing or logistics
    • Be an excellent team player with excellent communication skills
    • Have demonstrated the ability to act decisively and resolve problems
    • Good knowledge of computer accounting software

    Senior Accountant

    Key Responsibilities:

    • To be the point of contact for finance in all operations, sales reporting, expenditure analysis, forecasting, budgeting, and financial, accountability.
    • Carry out monthly executive reporting on milk rate computation, identifying opportunities for cost savings and revenue improvement.
    • Verification of payment vouchers and reconciliation of discrepancies within the books of accounts.
    • Responsible for the preparation and presentation of monthly management reports.
    • Responsible for the preparation of the annual budget statement and performing monthly variance reviews.
    • Responsible for Cash flow management & short-term funding requirements.
    • Oversee bank reconciliations for assigned M-pesa tills and bank accounts.
    • Handling profitability management, product costing, product pricing, capital expenditure planning inventory management, debtors’ management, creditors management, OPEX management, and business unit management.
    • Responsible for ensuring the company is compliant on all statutory requirements.
    • Contribute to financial systems implementation to ensure compliance with internal financial policies, procedures, control mechanisms, and generally accepted accounting practices.
    • Lead the finance team and be a dependable finance business partner across multiple departments.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics or related field of study.
    • CPA finalist or ACCA.
    • Minimum 7 years’ experience and at least 3 years in supervisory role.
    • Experience in Dairy Industry/Dairy Processor would be desirable.
    • Strong experience of cost accounting in a manufacturing environment.
    • Ability to generate and communicate ad hoc financial reports.
    • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with people at all levels who represent a variety of diverse backgrounds

    Executive Driver

    Responsibilities

    • Facilitating movement of the Managing Director and Directors as assigned.
    • Maintaining professionalism, confidentiality of office and discretion at all times.
    • Running errands and performing light office duties as needed.
    • Ensure daily maintenance checks to ensure the vehicle is roadworthy before embarking on the trips; for example, fuel, tyre pressure, lubricants etc.
    • Ensure passenger safety and security as well as availability of all safety gadgets.
    • Keep assigned vehicle clean and presentable.
    • Ensure and maintain the vehicle service record punctually.
    • Report any malfunctions and required repairs of the vehicle upon observation.
    • Perform any other duty as assigned by the supervisor.

    Qualifications and Skills

    • Diploma in any related course.
    • Must have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in driving as a personal or Executive Driver.
    • Must have a valid driving license.
    • Must have a certificate of good conduct.
    • Sufficient knowledge of traffic laws.
    • Basic understanding of mechanical aspects of vehicles.

    Grants & Reporting

    Key Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Ensure standard policies and due diligence materials are in place and up to date.
    • Support Donor Audits and social findings for action, in conjunction with the Grants and Impact Manager and Chief Finance Officer.
    • Ensure compliance with donor regulatory compliance requirements per Grant & Grant Organization.
    • Support the development of proposal bids for institutional funders, and take the lead on some dedicated bids, as assigned.
    • Support in the development of departmental, project, and organization work plans and budgets.
    • Review contract documents, create grant summary sheet; facilitate start-up workshops for implementing to socialize all compliance requirements, advising finance team on restrictions.
    • Co-ordinate, collates, and provides technical and financial reports (in donor-required formats) on institutional grant funds to ensure reporting compliance with respective funder rules and regulations.
    • Coordinate grant close-out activities including final reporting, asset inventory, and records storage.
    • Support the finance team to clarify project/grant allocations and understand donor analysis and project expenditure status reports.
    • Manage contractual relationships with sub-awardees to ensure smooth implementation and effective coordination.

    Qualifications:

    • Hold a university degree in a relevant field, a post-graduate degree is an added advantage.
    • A minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience working with NGOs in Africa and grants management.
    • Be knowledgeable of the project management cycle, monitoring, and evaluation.
    • Understand Sales force as a CRM tool for donations and fundraising.
    • Have solid financial management, budgeting skills, communication, and presentation skills.
    • Understand donor regulations and the ability to analyze and interpret information.
    • Be highly organized and able to manage multiple priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced dynamic environment.
    • Espouse the ability to work effectively with a culturally diverse team.
    • Have advanced computer literacy (especially knowledge of MS Office 365 including One Drive and SharePoint, analysis in Excel spreadsheets, CRM systems particularly Sales force, etc).
