    Human Resource Management Officer ONE (1) POSITION -VACANCY No. 02/2021/02
    Basic Salary Scale: Ksh 38,270 – Ksh 51,170 p.m (Job Group ‘K’)
    Allowances as per the SRC circulars
    Terms of Service: Three (3) years Renewable contract subject to satisfactory performance

    For appointment to this position a candidate must;

    1. Be a Kenyan citizen;
    2. Have a Bachelors degree in Human Resource Management OR a Bachelors degree in Social Sciences with a Higher Diploma/ Diploma in Human Resource Management;
    3. Have worked as a Human Resource Management Officer or its equivalent for a period of not less than two (2) years;
    4. Be Proficient in computer applications;
    5. Demonstrate understanding of National values and principles of governance and Public Service as stipulated in Articles 10, 232 of the Constitution of Kenya, 2010 and;
    6. Meet the requirements prescribed in Chapter Six (6) of the Constitution on leadership and integrity.

    Chief Human Resource Management Officer- II ONE (1) POSITION -VACANCY No. 02/2021/01

    Basic Salary Scale: Ksh 49,000 – Ksh 65,120 p.m (Job Group ‘M’)

    Terms of Service: Three (3) year Renewable contract subject to satisfactory performance


    For appointment to this position a candidate must;

    • Be a Kenyan citizen;
    • Have a Bachelors degree in Human Resource Management OR a Bachelors degree in Social Sciences with a Higher Diploma/ Diploma in Human Resource Management;
    • Be a member of the Institute of Human Resource Management (IHRM);
    • Be Proficient in computer applications;
    • Have worked as a Human Resource Management Officer or its equivalent for a period of not less than six (6) years, two (2) of which were in a supervisory role;
    • vCHRP(K) will be an added advantage;

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Analyzing Human Resource Management data from County Departments and making appropriate recommendations thereof;
    • Analyzing Human Resource Management issues emanating from County Departments and advice on appropriate action; iii. Planning and coordinating of Board activities in regards to recruitment, selection, appointments, discipline and employee relations;
    • Preparation of Board papers and briefs; v. Analyzing requests for recruitment from County Departments; vi. Providing administrative support to the relevant Committees of the Board; vii. Developing tools for the Board for monitoring the implementation and impact of existing Human Resource Management policies, guidelines and procedures in the County Departments;
    • Handling routine HR correspondences and preparing reports on Board activities related to the human resource functions of the Board;
    • Analyzing issues emanating from County Departments related to Collective Bargaining Agreements and Labor Relations and make appropriate recommendations to the Board;
    • Interpreting Labor Laws and government policies on human resource management; and,
    • Performing any other duties assigned from time to time.

    2. Sort, cross reference, file correspondences and responses according to Board’s indexing plan;
    3. Proper storage and maintenance of records and files to promote longevity and ensure prompt repair or replacement of worn-out files;
    4. Ensure proper handling of all board documents, pending correspondence and bring up;
    5. Receive and dispatch mails/ letters and maintain tracing register while ensuring adherence to the required security protocols and confidentiality;
    6. Maintain a structured file classification for all records for ease in retrieval and accessibility;
    7. Create a new file for new information/subject and allocate a reference number for ease in retrieval;
    8. Ensuring security of files and board documents by monitor access to the Records Management area to safeguard the records integrity from unauthorized access.
    9. Trace files that have already been actioned on and file them back to the records office for easier retrieval in the future.
    10. Assist in scanning of documents at the Board Secretary’s office, renaming and sending for action by the Board Secretary.
    11. Assist in circulating files after action by the Board Secretary and filing back to the Records office after action.
    12. Any other duties assigned.

    • Driving a motor vehicle as authorized;
