Job Purpose Statement

• The Investment Analyst role is a technical role which entails preforming research and preparing analysis of economic, financial markets and financial instruments and products to support decision making by the wealth management investment team.
• As a Buy side analyst, the incumbent will assist the business in identify investment opportunities for their business.

Key responsibilities;

•  Examining and assessing economic and market trends, earnings prospects, financial statements and various other indicators and factors to determine suitable investment strategies
•  Interact with the management of the companies or similar players that he/she is researching as well as interacting with other fund managers, placement agents and investment issuers.
•  Looking back at previous investment decisions and the thought process of making the investment decision
•  Participate in client acquisition, report back and education events
•  Preparing market information for dissemination to clients/prospects
• The incumbent will be a member of the investment committee and shall play a lead role in information dissemination and knowledge enhancement to the whole team.
• The functions of this role will also be guided by requirements of the legislation regulating the firm.

Job Specifications
Academic & Professional:

•  Bachelor's degree in business or finance or related field.
•  Progress towards MBA and/or CFA designation or equivalent preferred.
•  Progress towards ICIFA and/or CISI qualification a requirement

Desired work experience:

•  3+ years related work experience in investment banking or financial analysis role in a busy establishment.

Job Purpose Statement

• Role will assist senior dealers with assigned portfolio coverage and FX transaction execution. They will maintain frequent customer contact by phone and email including thoughtful and analytical market updates, product information and strategic advice and grow assigned portfolio by acquisition of new clientele. Jobholder will coordinate efforts with credit portfolio management, relationship management, operations, legal and other groups to support FX marketing for specific customers and for the overall desk.

Job Purpose Statement

• To ensure the bank is adequately funded and implement the laid out funding strategy to meet planned assets/liabilities growth of the balance sheet and has plans for unanticipated contingencies.

Job Purpose Statement

• Under the guidance of the Head of Global Market Sales, you actively participate in the formulation and implementation of the Market Sales Strategy in line with the NCBA Bank Global Market Sales Strategy and requirements.
• You will make markets in your team's particular range of products, especially in FX like Spot, FX forward, FX Swap and investments. You will be managing risk, liquidity and exposure and you will support and manage all aspects of the sales desk.
• You will act as the primary point of contact for both internal and external Global Market Sales clients, by phone and email while ensuring regular face-to-face engagements to provide thoughtful and analytical market updates, product information and strategic advice and grow assigned portfolio by acquisition of new clientele.
