About the Role

• Our Client is seeking certified, safety-conscious Fire Marshals to provide on-shift fire prevention and emergency response cover at the Mombasa fertilizer terminal. The successful candidates will inspect fire safety equipment and escape routes, lead evacuation and initial response in the event of a fire, and support the HESQ Officer in maintaining a zero-incident safety culture across warehouse, blending and loading operations. A minimum of two certified Fire Marshals must be present on site per shift at all times.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct routine fire-hazard inspections of warehouse, blending and yard areas, and report hazards immediately to the HESQ Officer.
• Check fire extinguishers, hose reels, alarm call points and emergency lighting are in place, unobstructed, in-date and undamaged; log findings in the fire safety register.
• Verify fire exits, escape routes and assembly points remain clear at all times, and support enforcement of hot-works permits and no-smoking rules.
• Act as first responder to any fire alarm or incident: raise the alarm, use available firefighting equipment where safe to do so, and initiate evacuation.
• Lead and account for workers during evacuation drills and real emergencies, using headcounts against the shift attendance register.
• Liaise with local fire and rescue services on arrival and support their response until the scene is handed over.
• Participate in incident investigation and root-cause reporting for any fire-related event, escalating to the HESQ Officer within Client\'s required notification timelines.
• Deliver toolbox talks and refresher fire-awareness briefings to warehouse workers, and support fire safety input into new-worker site inductions.
• Maintain the fire extinguisher inspection log, fire drill register and training attendance records, and make these available to Client\'s HESQ team on request.
• Strictly adhere to Client\'s Golden Rules, drug and alcohol policy, and PPE requirements at all times.
• Perform any other warehouse safety duties assigned by the HESQ Officer or contractor management.

Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum KCSE certificate or equivalent.
• At least 1–2 years\' experience in a fire warden, security, HSE support, or warehouse/industrial safety role; port, terminal or bulk-commodity handling experience is an advantage.
• Physically fit and able to work rotating shifts, including high-season 11–12 hour shifts.
• Clear spoken and written English and Kiswahili, with the ability to give instructions calmly under pressure.
• Demonstrated safety-first mindset and attention to detail.

Mandatory Certifications

• Valid Fire Marshal / Fire Warden certification from a recognized training provider (mandatory, no exceptions).
• Valid First Aid certificate (a minimum of two certified first aiders/fire marshals must be on site per shift; a worker may hold both certifications).
• Valid Certificate of Good Conduct.
• Willingness to complete Clients site-specific HESQ induction, hazard identification, emergency response and Golden Rules training before commencing duties.

ABOUT THE ROLE 

• Our client is a Customer Experience (CX) and Queue Management solutions provider operating across 13 African markets. Their product suite spans Queue Management Systems (QMS), Virtual QMS (VQMS), Self-Service Kiosks, Digital Signage, Appointment Booking, a CX CRM, and a CX Feedback Portal, primarily serving banking, healthcare, government, and enterprise clients. On their behalf, we are looking for a Presales Executive Francophone Africa: a bilingual commercial role responsible for supporting the sales team across French-speaking African markets. This person will prepare bids, proposals, and tender responses in both English and French, conduct product demonstrations for francophone prospects, and manage Proof-of-Concept (POC) engagements across markets including DRC, Senegal, Ivory Coast, and other Francophone territories. While French language proficiency is a critical requirement, strong sales and client engagement skills are equally important this is as much a commercial role as it is a linguistic one.

 KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 

• Identify and track tender opportunities across Francophone African procurement portals, government listings, banking and healthcare institutions, and donor-funded procurement platforms in target markets.
• Prepare and submit end-to-end RFPs, RFQs, RFIs, EOIs, and formal tender responses in both English and French, compliant with OHADA frameworks and local procurement regulations. 
• Develop bilingual technical and commercial proposals including cost estimates, solution descriptions, scope of work, and capability statements tailored to Francophone market requirements. 
• Conduct product demonstrations of the full solutions suite (QMS, VQMS, Self-Service Kiosks, Digital Signage, Appointment Booking, CX CRM, CX Portal) to prospective clients across banking, healthcare, and enterprise sectors in Francophone markets. 
• Plan, coordinate, and manage Proof-of-Concept (POC) engagements from scoping through execution, including bilingual documentation, client feedback, and commercial follow-through. 
• Support client discovery and needs analysis sessions to position the right solution for each francophone prospect. 
• Prepare accurate bilingual quotations in coordination with country sales representatives, aligned to approved pricing and commercial frameworks. 
• Maintain a tender calendar and compliance matrix to ensure zero missed deadlines across concurrent multi market submissions. 
• Manage and update CRM records (Zoho) with accurate deal stages, proposal statuses, and activity logs across all Francophone accounts. 
• Produce regular reports in English on bid activity, demo pipeline, POC status, and win/loss analysis for leadership. 

SKILLS & COMPETENCIES 

Experience & Technical Background 

• Bachelor\'s degree in Business, IT, Engineering, Telecommunications, Commerce, or a related field. 
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a presales, bids, or commercial coordination role ICT, technology, or enterprise solutions environment preferred.
• French language fluency at C1 minimum written and spoken; you will draft proposals, lead demonstrations, and communicate with clients in French daily. 
• Strong English communication all internal reporting, leadership updates, and cross-team coordination are conducted in English. 
• Demonstrated experience in bids and tender management, including proposal preparation and end-to-end submission processes. 
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel (pricing models, trackers), Word (bilingual proposal formatting), and PowerPoint (presentations and demos). 
• Hands-on experience with a CRM system for pipeline and activity management Zoho CRM experience is strongly preferred. 
• Familiarity with Francophone African procurement environments OHADA legal frameworks, donor-funded processes (World Bank, UNDP), or government tendering in DRC, Senegal, or Ivory Coast. 
• Sales or account management background is a meaningful advantage. 
• Experience conducting product demonstrations or supporting POC engagements in a technology context is a strong advantage. 
• Direct lived or professional experience in DRC, Senegal, Ivory Coast, Cameroon, or another Francophone African market is an added advantage.
