    Brief Posting Description

    Identify opportunities, implement and maintain viable airline partnership arrangements in liaison with all stake holders for maximum business and network opportunities.

    Detailed Description

    • Develop and implement the programme for KQ’s Competitive Strategy
    • Determine, type, level of co-operation in line with the Competitive strategy
    • Identify, initiate and steer viable potential partner agreements to expand and improve the KQ Network
    • Establish and maintain up-to-date profiles of network airlines and potential codeshare partners to guide on choice of Partners.
    • Evaluate and review of existing partnership agreement to determine value to KQ.
    • Establish a Partnership Protocol that ensures codeshare agreements are responsive to need, user friendly and managed openly and effectively and work within KQ objectives
    • Develop systems/reports for the collection of data for performance monitoring and stakeholders information.
    • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders to ensure their buy-in and support of codeshare projects
    • Develop, establish and implement codeshare infrastructure and communication processes within KQ & and with codeshare Partners
    • Manage the Codeshare Projects budget, act as Budget holder and ensure the projects are carried out in accordance to the budget and timescales.
    • Participate in, and contribute to, codeshare seminars, reports & Partner events as appropriate
    • Maintain records of commercial and financial performance of the Codeshare Agreements
    • Willingness and ability to spend blocks of time away from home as required attending meetings and events.

    Job Requirements

    Knowledge, Skills, Experience

    • University graduate with minimum 3 years experience in relationship and Partnership management.
    • Graduate work or master degree in related field desirable
    • Demonstrable success in working in a similar technical or commercial role
    • Experience negotiating, formulating and negotiating service level and cooperation agreements and contracts
    • Experience in analyzing and interpreting information, statistics and financial accounts.

    Job Purpose Statement

    A Pricing Manager is responsible for Planning, developing, communicating and implementing the pricing strategy for appointed Countries/markets to achieve budgeted Revenues.

    The pricing manager leads, mentors, coaches the Pricing Analyst to maintain a competitive edge in appointed markets/countries.

    Principal Accountabilities (KEY Performance Areas)

    • Revenue
      • Maximize revenues by developing and implementing a strategic pricing strategy through quantitative analysis of historical demand, competitive environment and consumer buying behavior to guide towards the growth of the airlines market share, passenger revenues and Revenue per Available Seat Kilometre (RASK) in the appointed Countries/Market Scope for both online and offline points to meet the appointed Countries/Market Scope budget.
      • Determine appropriate benchmark and segmentation strategy (Leader, Competitive, and Challenger) and make decisions on the company’s product pricing compared to published and competitors’ prices in the market to maintain desired competitiveness in the markets.
      • Coordinate fare audits to ensure approved fare levels are filed correctly in the booking tools to eradicate leakage of revenues.
      • Approve corporate fares, tour operator deals, consolidator packages, student programs, medical fares (pricing programs) with the sales organization to maximize revenue opportunities for the airline.
        Proactively evaluate the effectiveness of the implemented strategies
        Effectively communicate revenue performance and competitive market dynamics to field pricers, Country manager, Area of Sales.
        Supports new market development, flights and routes; create, implement, and monitor launch of routes and communicates results consistently.

      • Effectively challenge and support KQ’s sales organization/Field Pricers, Inventory teams, and other PRM colleagues on overall Performance through revenue performance meetings and Hit and run.
      • Improve personal development and business performance through training.
      • Develop and manage the watch and match process and ensure daily competitive positioning in the market to take advantage of emerging sale opportunities.

    Fraud Analyst.E-Commerce

    Job description

    Job Purpose Statement

    Screen Kenya airways Direct Online sales to detect & prevent fraudulent payments and fraudulent activities both internal and external in order to prevent financial loss to the company. Perform Daily sales reconciliation to see to it payment received is equal to ticket issued. Own and manager the credit card dispute resolution process with the card schemes

    • Analyse ticket reservations on possible fraudulent events to prevent revenue loss.
    • Independently take operational action to prevent financial loss to KQ (cancel bookings, deny boarding etc) ;
    • Interface with various internal departments and external suppliers such as CC Unit, airport handling staff, Security department
    • White, Black and Grey list databases
    • Build & maintain historical databases of fraudulent events as to support future screening activities to prevent recurrent.
    • Maintain white list data bases for frequent and corporate customers who don’t require screening at the airport
    • Maintain Blacklist of all reported commercial fraud and non commercial fraud data.
    • Maintain grey list from other airline fraud units and financial institution as shared.
    • Relationship
    • Build relationship with different airline fraud units, financial institution, payment gateways etc.
    • Collaborate with different airline fraud unit and financial institution which will aid in manual fraud screening
    • Research
    • Gather knowledge to keep abreast of new developments in financial fraud in order to identify developing trends and initiate appropriate action with least cost.
    • Chargeback Management
    • Engage in chargeback dispute process in good time and send any request for information to the acquiring bank and card schemes to prevent revenue leakage
    • Identify any commercial chargeback and initiate corrective measure to avoid such e.g Cleary defined condition of courage and fare rule conditions
    • Avoid double debit on all chargeback cases e.g refund and chargeback of the same transaction

    Automated Fraud Prevention

    Analyze structural patterns of fraudulent behaviour using automated fraud detection module and initiate alternative solutions to prevent any revenue leakages.
    Conduct a periodic change of automated fraud detection business rules based on the market dynamic to present loss of revenues associated with fraud
    Maintain the fraud threshold level before the industry standards to avoid fines from the card scheme.

    Reports

    Report both verbally and in writing on fraud to sales ration on all payment options. Report chargeback dispute success and failures on a weekly basis
