    Seed Analyst

    About the Role

    • You will oversee seed sample testing, manage machines and equipment in the seed laboratory, and manage seed laboratory data collection, data storage and management. You will ensure the cleaning and organization of the laboratory, as well as managing waste disposal and monitoring stock levels of materials. Additionally, you will coordinate seed laboratory accreditation, implement necessary improvements, and manage the seed recertification.

    Responsibilities

    • You will ensure seed quality testing & seed recertification.
    • You will support end-to-end running of the seed lab and in-ground station.
    • You will ensure compliance and adherence to KEPHIS & ISTA standards.
    • Seed lab team management.
    • You will ensure that all seed recertification is well planned with internal stakeholders, including the logistics team, and external stakeholders.
    • You will respond to germination issues raised by internal clients as received from the field.

    Qualifications

    Across all roles, these are the general qualifications we look for. For this role specifically, you will have:

    • Must be a KEPHIS Gazetted seed analyst
    • 2+ years of experience in seed testing.
    • Basic level of excel (can maintain complex spreadsheets) proficiency.
    • Project management and record management skills.

    Tupande Soko Factory Administrator (Fixed-Term)

    About the Role

    • The Soko Factory Administration Supervisor will offer the overall factory management through coordination with department heads and act as liaison person to Procurement and HR teams. The administrator will help manage facility and the workers through multiple team members, Over time, you will likely evolve into leading a broader and deeper portfolio of Administration or operations projects with Soko. You will be part of Tupande Soko and will report directly to Processing and Export Logistics Lead. This role is based in Sagana at Tupande Soko macadamia factory and is on site.

    Responsibilities

    • Coordinate office activities and operations to secure efficiency and compliance to company policies.
    • Ensure the factory is compliant with all company and regulatory  standards and food safety standards.
    • Work with the department heads to identify recruitment, training and workers development needs.
    • Work with the department heads to identify all procurement needs for the factory.
    • Ensure compliance with all company and regulatory product quality standards, sanitation standards, food safety standards, employee safety and environmental standards.
    • Oversee office operations, including managing office supplies and equipment.
    • Handle correspondence, scheduling appointments, and organizing records.
    • Manage data and reports, and maintaining databases.
    • Facilitate communication between staff, clients, and customers.

    Qualifications

    • 3+ years of experience as an office administrator, office assistant or relevant role.
    • Familiarity with office management procedures and basic accounting principles
    • A bachelor\'s degree in a relevant field, such as HR, or a business administration degree.
    • The ability to keep track of multiple tasks and deadlines, and to prioritize important projects.
    • The ability to remain calm and perform when faced with challenging situations.
    • Fluent in English and Swahili.
