    What you will be doing:

    Reporting to the Purchasing Officer, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following: 

    • Consistently offer professional, engaging and friendly service
    • Move stock from stores to different departments
    • Rotate store products
    • Ensures distribution of products to all departments
    • Maintains accurate documentation of all issues for reporting purposes
    • Fill requisitions inventory to maintain minimum/maximum pars
    • Daily cleaning of the stores

    Your experience and skills include:

    • Previous receiving experience a strong asset
    • Previous experience using procurement software with use of Birchstreet
    • Computer experience and ability to use Microsoft office software (Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.)
    • Comprehensive knowledge of receiving practices with previous experience working in this field being an asset
    • Comprehensive knowledge of storeroom practices including but not limited to FIFO and stock room rotation with previous experience working in this field being an asset
    • General knowledge of food and beverage specifications, quality standards and receiving practices Able to handle documents, math skills
    • WHMIS Certification considered an asset
    • Excellent English communication skills / French conversational an asset

    What you will be doing:

    Your experience and skills include:

    • You’ve had several years of professional experience in purchasing, ideally at a hotel or catering facility, and speak English fluently
    • You’ll bring a positive attitude, service orientation and team spirit to your job, so that you can give your colleagues optimal support in negotiating the maze of figures
    • You can inspire colleagues, and you have good self-management skills

    What you will be doing:

    Your experience and skills include:

    • Minimum of 10 years hospitality experience with 5 years’ experience at the management level with luxury and large hotel experience
    • Experience working in remote locations
    • Valid trade qualifications
    • Exceptional organization skills to manage a large banquet and event operation
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills
    • A team player with the ability to train, coach and motivate employees.
    • Product and quality obsessed with good knowledge in menu engineering and design.
    • Previous experience scheduling of a large culinary team
    • Proficient understanding of labor costs and productivity
    • Versed on calculation of food cost; Experience with conducting food inventories and understanding of inventory turn-over
    • Understanding of safe work practices and initiatives to reduce or eliminate accidents

    What you will be doing:

    Reporting to the Executive Chef, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following: 

    • Lead, mentor and train the Culinary Operations team
    • The ability to ensure the correct preparation and presentation of a consistent level for all food items prepared.
    • Support the Executive Chef with administrative responsibilities i.e. scheduling, payroll, etc.
    • Supervise all methods of food preparation and cooking methods, size of portions, garnishing and presentation of food.
    • Coordinate and supervise the ordering of all food supplies and kitchen equipment; approves all products to meet quality standards; keeps cost accounts; and takes responsibility of food preparation areas.
    • Train, discipline, supervise and organize all kitchen personnel on a regular basis.
    • Complete and provide performance evaluations for all kitchen employees making recommendations for salary increases as warranted.
    • Lead regular meetings with the kitchen staff as well as attend and participate in all required meetings.
    • Supervise the maintenance and cleanliness of all food preparation equipment.
    • Develop and ensure a safe working environment for people to work.
    • Communicate with the Executive Chef on a regular basis the activities and result of the kitchen.

    Your experience and skills include:

    • Service focused personality is essential and previous leadership experience required
    • Proven ability to build and maintain good relationships with all stakeholders
    • Communicate thoughts, actions and opportunities clearly with strong networking skills
    • Ability to lead by example, believe in a strong team culture and set the scene for high performance
    • Previous experience with a Union environment is an asset
