    Head of Client Relationships

    Key Responsibilities: 

    • Develop and implement a firm-wide client relationship strategy aligned with business objectives. 
    • Build and nurture long-term relationships with key clients and stakeholders. 
    • Collaborate with partners to identify new business opportunities and expand service offerings. 
    • Oversee and support the Business Development team in delivering pitches, proposals, tenders, and other client-facing initiatives. 
    • Provide coaching and guidance to partners and senior staff on client engagement, retention, and growth strategies. 
    • Monitor client satisfaction, gather feedback, and implement initiatives to enhance client experience. 
    • Track market trends and competitor activity to inform client strategy and positioning. 
    • Lead and mentor a high-performing team to ensure effective execution of client strategies. 
    • Report on client relationship performance, key accounts, and business development metrics to the Executive Committee. 

    Required Skills and Experience: 

    • Extensive experience in professional services, preferably within a legal or consulting environment. 
    • Proven track record in client relationship management, business development, and strategic account management. 
    • Strong leadership skills with experience managing and mentoring a team. 
    • Excellent interpersonal, communication, negotiation, and influencing skills. 
    • Ability to work closely with senior partners and other stakeholders to achieve strategic objectives. 
    • Understanding of the Kenyan legal market, regulatory environment, and client expectations is highly desirable. 
    • Analytical and strategic thinker with the ability to translate insights into actionable strategies.

    Business Development – Senior Associate

    Key Responsibilities: 

    • Develop and implement firm-wide business development strategies aligned with CM Advocates’ strategic goals. 
    • Prepare and manage pitches, bids, tenders, and proposals for new business opportunities. 
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders, including partners. 
    • Provide coaching and guidance to partners on business development, client engagement, and market positioning. 
    • Mentor and support junior BD staff to enhance team performance and capability. 
    • Collaborate closely with the marketing team to design campaigns and client communications that support BD objectives. 
    • Monitor and report on BD performance metrics and market trends to senior management. 
    • Support budget management and resource allocation for business development initiatives. 

    Required Skills and Experience: 

    • Professional services experience, preferably within a legal environment. 
    • Proven experience in business development, client relationship management, and tender/bid processes. 
    • Strong stakeholder management skills with experience working closely with senior partners or executives. 
    • Ability to coach and influence senior professionals on business development strategies. 
    • Experience managing or mentoring a small team is desirable. 
    • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. 
    • Knowledge of the Kenyan legal market and regulatory environment is an advantage.

    Full Stack Developer

    Key Responsibilities 

    • Design, develop, and maintain backend applications using Java, Spring Boot, and related frameworks. 
    • Build and maintain RESTful APIs and integrate with external systems and services. 
    • Implement microservices architecture, ensuring scalability, resilience, and high availability. 
    • Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code following best practices and coding standards. 
    • Work with databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB. 
    • Participate in code reviews, troubleshoot issues, and optimize application performance. 
    • Collaborate with DevOps teams to support CI/CD pipelines using tools like Docker, Jenkins, or Kubernetes. 
    • Ensure application security, reliability, and compliance with enterprise standards. 
    • Document technical designs, processes, and specifications. 
    • Work in an Agile/Scrum environment and contribute to sprint planning and execution. 

    Qualifications & Skills 

    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience. 
    • 3+ years of hands-on experience in Java development. 
    • Strong experience with Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data JPA, Hibernate. 
    • Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs. 
    • Solid understanding of OOP, design patterns, and software architecture principles. 
    • Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases. 
    • Proficiency with version control tools (e.g., Git). 
    • Experience with build tools like Maven or Gradle
