    Internship – School of Business

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Record Management for the department; Ensuring that proper records relating to students and Academic staff is maintained at all times.
    • Welcoming all visitors to the office.
    • Facilitating the registration of students.
    • Receiving, allocating, distributing and dispatching of Faculty mail.
    • Maintaining lecturer’s attendance register and report on the status of class attendance by lecturers and students to the Dean daily.
    • Handling all office correspondences, Email, WhatsApp groups etc.
    • Giving information on class room allocation.
    • Follow-up on student matters to ensure that student queries are resolved on time.
    • Participate in admission and matriculation processes of students as assigned.
    • Develop, maintain and update a database of all lecturers and students of the SOB in their respective programmes.
    • Ensure that lecturers issue detailed course outlines and maintaining a copy of the same in electronic form.

    QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

    • Candidate must be a citizen of Kenya.
    • Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University.
    • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
    • Experience with Google Workspace.
    • Ability to use web–based applications.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Excellent time management skills.
    • Client orientation.

    Intern, Corporate Affairs

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Editing and designing a variety of artworks across digital and offline media.
    • Design & edit clear engaging graphic communications for print and web.
    • Create color palettes, manipulate colors, or troubleshoot in tools such as Photoshop or Illustrator.
    • Use the main tools in a designer’s arsenal, typography and color, to grab attention.
    • Use key features on Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn and other platforms to showcase work, share creative workflow and increase your online presence.
    • Distort and warp layers, work with text, create shapes, draw and edit vector paths with the Pen tool, create animations, apply painting effects, save and share libraries, and work with artboards.
    • Use important principles of composition in designs.

    QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

    • Diploma/Degree in Design, Fine Arts or related field is an added advantage
    • Be more creative both individually and as part of a team and meet deadlines.
    • Strong creative and analytical skills.
    • Proven graphic designing experience desired.
    • Proven experience in video recording and editing desired.
    • A strong portfolio of illustrations or other graphics.
    • Familiarity with design software and technologies (such as InDesign, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, Photoshop, Premiere Pro, After-effects, etc.) Misrosoft applications & zoom.
    • Keen eye for aesthetics and details.
    • Excellent communication skills.

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Coordinating with designers, content providers, and management on the design, development, deployment and maintenance of a KCA-U’s online presence.
    • Determining client website and portals’ needs and requirements.
    • Building and testing aesthetic, functional, and user-friendly website and portals.
    • Implementing and ensuring website and portal security and data protection.
    • Maintaining, updating, and optimizing servers hosting the KCA-U website and portals.
    • Monitoring and analyzing site performance.
    • Updating website content and reviewing SEO (Search engine Optimization).
    • Work with communication, marketing or advertising departments concerning content posted, viewed or pulled from the website.

    QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

    • Bachelor’s degree in IT field.
    • Advanced knowledge in web designing..
    • Minimum of two years experience in programming with C#, JavaScript, JQuery, HTML, XML and CSS
    • Experience working with a CMS (WordPress, Drupal, Joomla, Sitefinity, Sitecore).
    • SEO skills and experience with SEO tools (SEM Rush, BrightEdge, Moz) is an added advantage.
    • Experience with UX/UI design and some knowledge of adobe suite (Photoshop, illustrator)

    OTHER SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

    • Knowledge of IT security.
    • Good collaboration skills and passion for UX/UI innovation.
    • Reliable and detail-oriented.
    • Good communication and problem-solving skills.
