    Reception Centre Cook

    JOB SUMMARY

    The Cook shall be responsible for the preparation of meals, serving of meals, maintenance of the kitchen facilities,

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Keep track and maintain containers used for storage of food at the centre stores.
    • Ensure proper maintenance of the kitchen facilities for supporting received asylum seekers.
    • Observe cleanliness of the kitchen and the environment as per sphere standards.
    • Make sure the asylum seekers receive quality hot meals at 100% entitlement.
    • Make sure there are constant/enough supplies of food, firewood and water at all times..
    • Keep track and maintain containers used for storage of food at the centre stores

    QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

    • Secondary school certificate
    • 3-4 years experience as a cook in a busy institution

    PMER Officer

    Duties And Responsibilities

    • Support the design, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of LWF PMER strategies and practices and ensure integration across all projects and project cycle(s).
    • Develop and maintain an up-to-date database of M&E framework for various programs, continuously updating, reviewing, disseminating and validating reports.
    • Provide specialized support and training to program teams and partners as necessary to strengthen their capacity their capacity in program data input, use and interpretation.
    • Collaborate with Sector Heads to support compilation and submission of quality and timely periodic reports (weekly, monthly, quarterly, semi-annual and annual report), providing graphic/illustrated feedback for ease of interpretation.
    • Support development and dissemination of data management tools and processes, following up as necessary to ensure utilization of such data.
    • Lead process of strengthening beneficiary accountability mechanisms through appropriately structured dissemination of M&E findings.
    • Facilitate transformation of experiences and individual learning to institutional learning through documentation of situational reports and updates.
    • Lead the process of adoption and application of LWF World Service and ACT Alliance policies, systems, guidelines, procedures and action plans for accountability to Disaster Affected Persons and as per donor requirements.
    • Participate in internal and external meetings, as well as identify opportunities for partner collaboration as appropriate.

    Qualifications And Experience

    • Bachelor’s Degree in either Social Sciences, Statistics, Computer Science Management or other related fields.
    • Proven experience of minimum 3 years working with humanitarian and development programme.
    • Experience gained with an international NGO will be an added advantage.
    • An impeccable professional standard of ethics as well as the willingness and ability to implement accountability activities within the LWF World Service essential.

    COMPETENCIES

    • Excellent computer skills in word processing, spreadsheets, use of internet and email
    • Proven experience of using online data collection tools and techniques in the humanitarian sector.
    • Strong analytical, facilitation and documentation experience with humanitarian programmes.
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills including influencing negotiation and pragmatism.
    • Excellent interpersonal skills; the ability to liaise with a variety of people successfully and effectively in a multicultural set up.
    • Ability to work independently.
    • Fluent in written and spoken English.

    Social Worker

    Overall Purpose/Broad Function

    Reporting to the Reception Assistant, Reception Centre Social Worker functions shall be responsible for conducting and overseeing vulnerability assessment, Psychosocial support, documentation, data collection, identification and referrals of vulnerable identified cases.

    Key Duties And Responsibilities

    • Receiving and facilitating of psychosocial assessment of the new arrivals at the Reception Center.
    • Referral of identified vulnerable new arrivals to other partners/agencies for specialized support.
    • Oversee distribution of non-food items and food to received new arrivals.
    • Ensure proper utilization of resources at the reception centre.
    • Carry out Focus group discussions and information sharing with new arrivals on services available in the camp.
    • Enhance and promote coordination and cooperation with other partners in offering services to new arrivals.
    • Compile and forward reports for the reception Centre to the supervisor, Sector head and LWF management on time.
    • Manage incentive staffs, prepare timesheets and forward to Human Resource for verification and processing of payment.

    Education/Professional Designations/Experience

    • At least a College Diploma/Professional Qualification field e.g. social work, psychology, counselling, or related field and at least two years practical working experience in community service.

    Other Specific Skill Requirements

    • Experience in working in the field of social work;
    • Demonstrated experience and commitment to working with marginalized communities;
    • Strong analytical, strategic thinking and planning skills;
    • Strong monitoring and evaluation skills/experience;
    • Good knowledge of MS word Office;
    • Excellent oral and written English;
    • Ability to work in environment of relief emergency operation;
    • Ability to build effective partnership and collaborate with other team members

    Store Clerk

    Job Summary

    The Store Clerk is responsible for the safety and maintenance of the commodity tracking system which allows stock tracking and recording of all ordered, receipts, and release of stock.

    Duties And Responsibilities

    • Receive all the deliveries - on receipts of supplies check stock against copy orders and waybill/delivery note and safeguarding the contents of the store.
    • Carry out regular spot check on all items under my custody to ensure there is proper accounting of the stores.
    • Raise issue vouchers and Issue items to store users (Departments) as per authorised requisition form.
    • Enter receipts and withdrawals of stock (Supplies) on stock records (Bin cards, GRNs ) on daily basis.
    • Reconcile bin balance and physical stock balance.
    • Maintain accurate records of all items in the stores and -keeping written records up- to- date legible and accurate.
    • Generate asset and stock movement report as requested.

    Qualifications And Experience

    • Diploma in Business management, procurement and supplies, store keeping.
    • Proven warehouse supervisory 3 to 4 years experience
    • Knowledge of warehouse software packages and MS Office proficieny

    COMPETENCIES

    • Excellent customer service; responding to customer requests and ensuring contractual obligations are upheld
    • Computer skills; understands computers and have hands-on experience using applications like spreadsheets and word processors, internet and email
    • Ability to work independently.
    • Fluent in written and spoken English
