The Housing Unit-Clerk of Works Intern shall assist in overseeing quality and safety of work on site during the execution of Buiding and Infrastructure works scope.
What You Will Do
- Assist Project team (consultants and developers) as required and as appropriate.
- Ensure accurate records are prepared and maintained.
- Ensure a consistently high standard of quality control and supervision is maintained for each sub-project, via site visits, assessing contract implementation with due regard to building and health and safety legislation.
- Aways provide service to the Contract Administrator by ensuring that the standards of work and the materials supplied by contractors are specified in accordance with the contract information.
- Ensure information being used for implementation of site is current, conducting regular information audits and reporting accordingly.
- Assist in maintaining records and data; site activities, staffing and daily progress and undertake general and administrative tasks on site.
- Assist in identifying technical problems on site/risks, to alert respective project consultants and/or Project client to attend the same in good time.
- Witness onsite testing and commissioning and keep appropriate records of results.
- Attend internal and external meetings, both on and offsite as required.
- Assist in making sure that all the amendments or instructions to the Contractor are confirmed and documented contractually.
- Work with and under the Project Structural Engineers, Electrical and Mechanical Engineers to oversee the day-to-day coordination and supervision of Civil/Structural and MEP services works including interpretation of drawings on site.
- Assist in setting out general quality control in liaison with the Contractors Site Agent.
- Ensure the compliance with specifications of materials and workmanship.
- Refer significant queries on design or engineering matters and promptly notify the Consultants of any events or, anticipated events that may affect the progress of the works.
- In liaison with the Consultants, ensure instructions issued to the Contractor in all matters relating to the Structural and MEP services works.
- Assist in Checking and approva of temporary and permanent works.
- Carry out joint establishment of Survey controls with the siSte Agent.
