    Senior Officer- Integrated Media - (22000144)

    We are pleased to announce the following vacancy for Senior Officer- Integrated Media, in the Integrated Media Department within Consumer Business Unit. In keeping with our current business needs, we are looking for a person who meets the criteria indicated below.

    Detailed Description

    Reporting to the Manager – Integrated Media The role holder will be responsible for implementing integrated (ATL & digital) media plans and follow through to implementation on initiatives that deliver to business objectives for various units across the organization

    Responsibilities

    • Follow through and implement integrated media plans + rationales that deliver on the campaign objectives and drives true business value for our media campaigns
    • Works with other departments to ensure a campaign goes live on time through the use of best practice and adherence to Service Level Agreement’s
    • Effectively runs the day to day planning on integrated media workstreams they are supporting 
    • Builds and develops media owner relationships in order to drive market leading planning and effective partnerships
    • Ensuring that all jobs are carried out within agreed timing schedules to levels expected by stakeholders.
    • Coordinate with internal teams to have media buying paperwork (LPOs, Receipting, Invoicing etc) done on time
    • Ensure that integrated media plan and execution is aligned to advertising as well as overall strategy.
    • Manage and monitor digital, electronic, print and digital outdoor advertising for Safaricom for the section/ tribe
    • Will be responsible for campaign reporting to highlight progress  and how these translate into business results. This guides the business in evaluating the effectiveness of all touchpoints for the campaign.
    • Will be responsible for monitoring and analysing integrated media campaign performance in order to suggest structural and editorial improvements on the  ad campaigns.
    • Will be personally responsible for keeping up with the dynamic trends and benchmarks in the digital industry through continuous research and training.
    • All media vendor management on a day to day basis to ensure campaign alignment and negotiate added value for the media buys
    • Collect and package data driven actionable insights from all touchpoints and feeding back into the business for decision making
    • Up to date back up of all materials as per ISO process and requirements.

     
    QUALIFICATIONS
     
    Technical / Professional Qualifications:

    • A bachelor’s Degree. (A business related disciplines with an IT/Commercial bias will be an added advantage
    • 3 years’ experience in an integrated media function with a focus on planning and buying having managed brands at the same level or bigger than Safaricom
    • Attention to detail with excellent interpersonal and communications skills
    • An excellent planner and organizer
    • Should be able to create media plans and channel selection strategies depending on the objective of the campaign to ensure a high return on investment for each campaign.
    • Should be a consistent performer who delivers to daily, weekly and monthly digital marketing KPI’s
    • Should be able to work well under pressure and tight deadlines.

    Senior Officer- Digital Media - (22000143)

    Detailed Description

    Reporting to the Manager – Integrated Media The position holder will execute digital media buying across all digital channels while driving optimization and media efficiencies for all campaigns from various business units.

    Responsibilities

    • Will work closely with internal and agency teams to support development of media strategy, media plans and channel selection depending on the objective of the campaign to ensure a high return on investment for each campaign.
    • Will be responsible for setting up campaigns on Google Adwords which includes Google Display, Google Search, YouTube etc plus setting up and managing tags for attribution.
    • Will be responsible for analysing our websites and apps on Firebase and Google Analytics
    • Will be responsible for setting up campaigns on Facebook Business Manager, Twitter Ads, DV360, Google Ads among others.
    • Will be responsible for liaising with all internal and external stakeholders to ensure excellent campaign setup, reporting, optimization and analysis and that the campaigns are highly targeted for each consumer segment.
    • Will be responsible for report writing: preparing reports to highlight progress of campaigns and how these translate into business results. This guides the business in evaluating the effectiveness of all digital campaigns.
    • Will be responsible for media buying financial administration including: raising PO’s, issuance/revisions of monthly insertion orders and financial reconciliation on a weekly, monthly and quarterly basis.
    • Will be responsible for monitor and analyzing online marketing and campaign performance data in order to suggest structural and editorial improvements that will optimize ad campaigns.
    • Will be responsible for conducting in-depth Search Engine Optimization and Search Engine Marketing.
    • Will be personally responsible for keeping up with the dynamic trends and benchmarks in the digital media category through continuous research and training.
    • Will be responsible for identifying new digital opportunities arising in the digital space that will add value to Safaricom campaigns
    • Digital media vendor management on a day to day basis to ensure campaign alignment and negotiate added value for the media buys
    • Deliver Cost optimization on all digital media buys to ensure maximum value and lowest possible cost is delivered against set bench mark KPIs

    QUALIFICATIONS

    Technical / Professional Qualifications:

    • Should have more than 5 years continuous experience in Digital Media Buying and Optimization and translating Digital activities to Business results (Integrated media buying skills - offline and online media, will be an added advantage)
    • Should have high level proficiency in setting up and launching online advertising campaigns on the various digital platforms (Google AdWords, Facebook Business Manager, Twitter, Programmatic Buying etc). This also includes setting up and managing tags and pixels for attribution.
    • Should have high level proficiency in setting up app download and re-engagement campaigns.
    • Should be able to create media strategy, media plans and channel selection strategies depending on the objective of the campaign to ensure a high return on investment for each campaign.
    • Should have a proven track record in media buying & optimization for similar size or larger business than Safaricom

    Reporting to the Chapter Lead - Brand strategy and communications the role holder will be part of the brand center of excellence, contributing to the overall team goals but also benefiting from as excellent learning and development environment. The role contributes to the brand strategy and communications process by bringing to the table a deep understanding of the broad set of consumers the brand serves as an input to the positioning and brand campaign development process.     Executive – Customer Education & Brand in Trade - (22000146)

    Detailed Description

    Reporting to the Chapter Lead - Customer Education & Brand in Trade The job holder will be required to support the Brand CoE Team by coordinating marketing related issues around Communication, PR and Media as well as liaison with agencies and suppliers of various marketing collateral material. The role entails supporting the overall delivery Marketing initiatives for the Brand CoE.

    Responsibilities

    • Co-ordinate all CBU sponsorship and Promotional activities in conjunction with the Promotional and Sponsorships team and ensure integration in overall company communication and brand strategy

In addition, the role holder will develop a growth vision and strategy for the brands portfolio using a creative brand and customer understanding and also develop the marketing activity plans for the category. The role holder will be the right brand ambassador who drives equity, awareness, and off-take.

    Responsibilities

    • Develop Segment/category activity plans (innovations, rejuvenations, and brand activations) which delivers against the mission, brand strategy and addresses key issues and opportunities
    • Assist in developing customer understanding and insights of the segment/portfolio.
    • Project management and OTIF delivery of projects/solutions for the customer.
    • Insight, idea generation and concept development.
