    Stores Assistant

    REPORTING TO: Senior Procurement & Logistics Officer

    Purpose: To ensure uninterrupted supply of materials without delay to various users of the organization. To ensure safe handling of materials and prevent their damage. To ensure proper and continuous control over the materials

    Duties & Responsibilities

    1. Provide assistance to the Senior Procurement Officer in his day–to–day tasks.
    2. Issuing and distributing of all supplies that may be required while observing all policies and procedures laid down.
    3. Displaying products in an easy–to–locate manner.
    4. Ensuring proper stock documentation are in place.
    5. Ensuring all security and safety standards of stocks and stores are observed.
    6. Work with Program team members on procurement needs to ensure that the relevant materials from the stores are on sites when needed.
    7. Proper stock documentation and preparing all stock analysis and reports as at when required/Quarterly.
    8. Supporting the Senior Procurement Officer on ensuring all security and safety standards of stocks and stores are observed.
    9. Work with Program team members on procurement needs to ensure that the relevant materials from the stores are on sites when needed.
    10. Inspect items and products for any breakages or damages.
    11. Assist stores in managing inventory controls.
    12. Maintain the store area neat, clean and sanitized.

    Qualification, Skills and Experience

    1. Diploma holder in Purchasing/Supplies.
    2. Minimum of three years working experience in a similar role.
    3. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    4. Proficiency in the use of MS office applications.
    5. Must be a strong team player.
    6. Person of high integrity.

    Technical Officers – HIV Testing Services (HTS)

    Job Purpose

    The Technical Officer – HTS will be responsible for providing technical support, regular mentorship coaching and support supervision to HTS providers and health care workers and ensuring that project targets are achieved while ascertaining quality at all HTS delivery points. The technical officer will liaise with the Senior Technical Advisor,County/Sub AIDS Coordinator and facility in charges to support delivery of quality HTS.

    Roles & Responsibilities

    1. To provide technical support and quality HIV services at all HTS delivery points in county of implementation.
    2. Together with other County technical team members, organise joint meetings to review HTS performance and make the necessary recommendations.
    3. Engage in county & sub–county HIV forums to ensure the USAID Stawisha Pwani agenda is mainstreamed in the county activities.
    4. Support development and implementation of facility based strategies high yield strategies for HTS in line with PEPFAR guidance.
    5. Develop work plans in line with donor targets in collaboration with facility and county teams and ensure implementation of work plan is adhered to.
    6. Ensure presence and effective use of guidelines, standard operating procedures (SOPs) and data tools in the facilities.
    7. Working with the Quality improvement specialist Support continuous quality improvement through the KQMH strategy
    8. Strengthen linkages between testing points and ART clinics in all project supported sites.
    9. Working with the commodities technical officer ensure availability of all commodities and materials for HIV services including RTKs, HIVST data tools and IEC materials in all supported sites.
    10. Identify capacity gaps and conduct mentorship and capacity development of Linkage officers and HTS counsellors.
    11. Ensure all HTS providers are qualified and that they undergo periodic quality assurance through proficiency testing (PT) and observed practice as per national guidelines.
    12. Working with M&E officer support facilities in effective documentation, accurate data collection, routine data quality assurance and data use for decision making.
    13. Document and disseminate program work achievement work through abstracts, papers, newsletters and other approved platforms.
    14. Provide feedback to the Senior Technical Advisor on issues that require to be addressed for effective performance of HTS providers.
    15. Submit monthly, quarterly and other regular HTS reports for inclusion in the donor program technical report.

    Requirements

    1. Degree in Social sciences and/or other relevant health science
    2. NASCOP approved certification in HTS.
    3. 5–years post qualification experience, at least 3 of which was gained in technical assistance in implementing donor HIV programs with demonstrable success in achievement of targets.
    4. TOT in HIV related courses is an added advantage

    COVID-19 Program Officer

    REPORTING TO: Chief of Party

    COUNTIES: Mombasa, Kilifi, Kwale & Taita Taveta

    JOB PURPOSE

    To collaborate with Counties to ensure rapid implementation of COVID–19 prevention and treatment interventions in the four supported Counties.

    KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    1. Provide technical and logistical support to counties in implementing the COVID–19 prevention and treatment workplans.
    2. Support scale up of COVID–19 vaccination uptake
    3. Work with counties to implement their COVID–19 risk communication and community engagement strategies.
    4. Sensitize facility and community health workers on the conduct of health education sessions to dispel myths and misinformation about COVID–19.
    5. Work with USAID Stawisha Pwani project staff to ensure COVID–19 adaptation measures are implemented with fidelity to reduce risk of infection among health care workers and patients in supported facilities.
    6. Prepare monthly quantitative and qualitative reports to counties, USAID Stawisha Pwani leadership and USAID.
    7. Any other duties assigned by supervisor.

    REQUIREMENTS

    1. Bachelor’s Degree in Public Health or equivalent.
    2. Three years’ experience in implementing community health interventions.
    3. Experience working in the four counties desired.
    4. Good communication and report writing skills required

    Senior Program Officer

    REPORTING TO: Program Manager

    Job Purpose

    The overall responsibility of the Senior Program Officer is to support the management of projects by leading and coordinating specific components and supporting the overall Program Manager in the day–to–day running of the projects.

    Responsibilities:

    1. Support in preparation of project budget and work plan.
    2. Coordinate the implementation of MOSAIC project activities based on the annual and monthly work plans.
    3. Track project implementation and expenditure for the project activities;
    4. Provide technical support to the MOSAIC team based on the various work streams.
    5. Prepare, review and/or edit project progress reports (monthly, quarterly, annual, etc.) to ensure quality
    6. Support coordination of learning forums together with the research team to share the outcomes of the project;
    7. Coordinate capacity strengthening activities for civil society organizations as per the project deliverables
    8. Ensure appropriate monitoring of sub grants/subcontracts to achieve financial, administrative, and programmatic goals.
    9. Conduct trainings and mentorship based on needs assessment of sub–grantees
    10. Participate in MOSAIC related work stream calls and coordinate national project update calls
    11. Engage with the county and national health teams as required in the project life–cycle Provide timely grant and programme–related updates to the department members
    12. Provide mentorship to staff on advocacy processes and policy influencing
    13. Support proposal development process at the organization
    14. Represent LVCT Health at meetings, conferences and workshops, as assigned.
    15. Ensure adherence to LVCT Health’s and donor finance policies and procedures.

    Qualifications and Experience:

    1. Bachelor’s degree required. Master’s Degree in social science, health sciences, international development, public/global health policy preferred.
    2. Experience managing large scale (multi–year, multi–team, multi–country) projects preferably in HIV prevention, policy and advocacy.
    3. Good understanding HIV prevention landscape
    4. Minimum of 5 years of overall work experience in the international development sector. Significant experience with budget management and oversight of large single project or multiple small projects, including projections, pipelines, and modifications.
    5. Excellent written communication and presentation skills.
    6. Experience in proposal writing, CSO engagement and/or capacity strengthening
    7. Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills and ability to work in a culturally diverse team.
