    Lodge Driver

    Job Summary: 

    1. Naro Moru River Lodge is looking for a Lodge Driver responsible for a variety of transportation duties for the lodge. These include but are not limited to conducting guest transfers and company transport errands as directed.

    Primary Duties and Responsibilities include: (Not limited to)

    • Conducts daily routine functional and equipment checks of company vehicles prior to departure.
    • Maintains the overall cleanliness of company vehicles.
    • Informs and follows up with HOD on renewal of vehicle licenses, insurance and inspection documentation.
    • Complies with local traffic laws & regulations and the company’s transport policy.
    • Follows up on authorization and accurate recording of vehicle movement.
    • Ensures necessary vehicle servicing and maintenance is done.
    • Performs emergency mechanical repairs where necessary.
    • Plans for all guest transfer logistics and provides feedback on travel.
    • Maintains a high standard of grooming at all times.
    • Jovially engages guests on journey and remains courteous and offers reasonable assistance that may be requested.
    • Maintains security and safety for the vehicle on and off the road.
    • Any other duties that may be assigned from time to time.

    Qualifications & Prerequisites:

    • Professional certificate in Tour guiding and Administration from a recognized training institution.
    • Must be in possession of a Certificate of Good Conduct for current year.
    • Must have a valid PSV driving license.
    • Must be formally licensed by the TRA- Tourism Licensing Authority as a Tour Driver Guide.
    • Must have a minimum of 5 years driving experience.
    • Must have good knowledge of the regional roads in Nyeri, Nanyuki and Nairobi areas.
    • Familiar with Mt. Kenya National Park routes, rules and regulations.
    • Good Defensive/ Offensive driving skills.
    • Should have a good command in English and good fluency in Kiswahili.
    • Mature, healthy with excellent eyesight and punctual with a good attendance record.
    • Flexibility in terms of working hours.

    Administrative Assistant

    Naro Moru River Lodge is looking for an Administrative Assistant who will be responsible for offering a range of services that are confidential and revolve around office administration, HR administration and clerical support roles. 

    Primary Duties and responsibilities (includes but not limited to :)

    Office Administration

    • Ensure all administrative offices for all departments are well cleaned and organized.
    • Monitor office supplies and requisition for stocks that are depleted.
    • Schedule calendars, coordinate and facilitate internal meetings & appointments as directed.
    • Implement and maintain office procedures/ administrative systems.
    • Maintain vital company documents and files i.e. permits, licenses, general correspondence etc.
    • Assist in data entry, minute keeping and filing, report preparations, drafting correspondence and preparation of internal collateral as directed.
    • Handle all information received with the utmost confidentiality required.
    • Independently perform all office support work.
    • Sort and file all related documentation as per Company procedure. 
    • Scan and file documents as directed.
    • Operate a variety of office equipment such as scanners, printers and computers.
    • Organize for all courier services (dispatch & receipt) while maintaining records of parcels & mail bag movement. 
    • Sort & dispatch received parcels to respective offices and staff for action.
    • Any other clerical roles as may be assigned by the Manager.

    Human Resource Administration

    • Maintain and update all employee records and files.
    • Updating the online staff records on the HRIS system and NEA portal.
    • Receive and store all unsolicited job applications and assisting HODs with the same on request.
    • Preparation of trainee onboarding/ off boarding documentation in close liaison with the Unit Manager.
    • Compile and submit all monthly internal training records for all NMRL staff by liaising with respective HODs and reporting the same to the HR Manager.
    • Assist with new staff onboarding i.e. documentation and orientation.

    Qualifications & Requirements

    • A minimum of a Diploma in Business /Office administration. 
    • Proven experience as an Administrative Assistant (Minimum of 1 year).
    • Proficiency in computer applications i.e. MS Office, Google workspace & Zoom Workplace.
    • Must be able to type a minimum of 50 words per minute accurately.
    • Ability to handle confidential information with keen attention to detail.
    • Must be a fast learner and flexible to handle multiple priorities.
    • Excellent interpersonal skills.
    • Highly organized skills.
    • Exceptional time management.
    • Assertive, self-driven individual, able to work with minimum supervision.
    • Strong leadership skills.
    • Must pose high integrity and business ethics.
