    Checker Clerk

    JOB PURPOSE

    • The Checker Clerk will ensure that all the trucks are checked to client’s protocols. Also, to ensure the process is executed in a safe, efficient manner and all necessary documentation and data is in place and in line with the objectives of the Business Unit and any other duties as per management's discretion.

     KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Analyze and understand health and safety related risks for drivers - both own fleet and subcontracted, take action to reduce or eliminate these risks.
    • Ensure always safe, secure, clean, and fair work environment
    • Ensure compliance to the drivers, understand, and comply to all site rules and regulations
    • Ensure all drivers - own fleet and subcontracted at KBL are safety compliant ( PPE requirement and follow through to ensure adherence)
    • Check and verified goods are well stacked as per truck on a proper wooded pallet before loading the truck.
    • Count and reconcile all packages being loaded in a truck.
    • Ensure truck is properly sealed before dispatch.
    • Timely escalate any issues arising to the truck on duty or engage the Transport Lead.
    • Ensuring all trucks are loaded accurately as per order quantity
    • Supervise loading and offloading process
    • Ensure driver is issued with all relevant documents i.e. ERN/GRN and Hauler Copy
    • Ensuring that all drivers hand in their PODs within the set times and any notable issue reported /captured immediately
    • Ensure all non-conforming goods/product do not get loaded into the truck i.e. Shots/breakages
    • Provides feedback channels for drivers - both own and subcontracted to enable active contribution to the improvement and development of the operation
    • Assist in supervising the drivers to ensure they actively support the loading process and queue/dock of trucks to gain access into NCD loading/offloading bays immediately they are called upon
    • Have the ability to make decisions in a fast-paced environment, communicate information clearly incase of any delays from clients in loading products /offloading empties.
    • Record and maintain data related to the day's work load.
    • Ensure goods are well placed in the trucks and sealed
    • Always ensure cartons and pallet conform to the standards required and free from damages
    • Follow instructions and prioritize tasks based on production and shipping schedules.

    EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, AND TRAITS

    • High school/secondary education
    • Data Clerical work experience
    • Diploma/Certificate in Logistics/Freight Forwarding and Purchasing & Supply Chain – Desirable
    • University Graduate - Desirable
    • Holder of a valid driving license – Desirable

    Any other requirements

    • Flexibility to work in shift patterns
    • Ability to work in a physically demanding environment

    Specific skills and competency

    • The ability to load stocks that conform to the required standards, reconcile stocks, document preparation, multi-task and customer knowledge.
    • Good analytical and numerical skills
    • Excellent communicator (verbal & written)
    • Computer literate and proficient in Microsoft office suite
    • Knowledge of customs requirements

    Dispatch Coordinator

    JOB PURPOSE

    • Ensure that all trucks are dispatched while adhering to Client’s protocols. Also to ensure the process is executed in a safe, timely, efficient manner and all necessary documentation and data is in place in line with the objectives of the Business Unit.

    KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Ensure driver is issued with all relevant documents i.e. Invoices/dispatch/HTO/GAN note.
    • Ensuring complete dispatch related documents are received & debriefed in the system before forwarding to archive. (PODs in the system (DCT))
    • Ensuring all dispatch related data is circulated within the set KPIs
    • Liase between warehouse and transport to ensure smooth flow in operations
    • Attend monthly Operations meeting on site performance and profitability with team members
    • Identify improvement opportunities using First Choice tools in the operation, focusing on delivering continuous improvement to improve annual gross profit
    • Facilitate effective communication to ensure everyone is informed about changes, delays, or other relevant updates.
    • Assist the KBL Transport Executors in day-to-day running and ensure execution to completion
    • Ensure all hitches pertaining to documentation is escalated and dealt with ian timely manner
    • Ensure the relevant work instructions and standard operating procedures for the operation are adhered to
    • Ensure that all dispatches are done through TRAMM mobile app and updates shared of the same
    • Ensure the appropriate communication, understanding and compliance with all relevant DPDHL policies takes place
    • Support all safety engagements on site & review incident investigations within the workplace, respond to escalated issues of non-compliance and ensure relevant safety regulations and procedures are adhered to

    Transport Executor Coordinator

    JOB PURPOSE

    • As the Transport Executor within our logistics business, your primary responsibility is to coordinate and optimize the movement of goods through efficient route planning and effective communication with drivers. Your role is crucial in ensuring on-time deliveries, minimizing transportation costs, and maintaining a smooth flow of operations.

    KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Efficiently plan transportation routes to maximize delivery efficiency, considering factors such as distance, traffic, and time constraints.
    • Communicate with drivers to provide detailed instructions regarding routes, schedules, and any special delivery requirements.
    • Monitor driver progress and address any unforeseen challenges or deviations from the plan promptly.
    • Utilize transportation management systems (TMS) and tracking tools to monitor the real-time status of shipments and vehicles.
    • Respond swiftly to disruptions, traffic incidents, or other issues affecting the transportation schedule.
    • Act as a central point of contact for drivers, internal teams, and external stakeholders.
    • Be actively involved in and support change initiatives
    • Plan and utilize all internal resources to ensure maximum productivity
    • Facilitate effective communication to ensure everyone is informed about changes, delays, or other relevant updates.
    • Generate regular reports on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to transportation efficiency.
    • Maintain accurate records of transportation activities, including delivery times, delays, and any incidents.
    • Identify and address issues related to transportation, such as delays, vehicle breakdowns, or unexpected changes in delivery requirements.
    • Collaborate with drivers and relevant teams to implement effective problem-solving strategies.
