    Stocks Accountant

    Job Purpose/Mission

    The Stock Accountant is responsible for ensuring proper management of company’s inventory/ stock items. Maintains and updates the stock records, responsible for conducting physical stock counts, perform regular stock reconciliations and overall monitoring of stock transactions. Working closely under the Procurement/Finance/Customer Experience/Commercial departments

    Responsibilities:   

    • Implement and enforce inventory policies, procedures, adopt appropriate technology, ERP workflows and internal controls
    • Diagnose and resolve causes of inventory variances/discrepancies
    • Collate, document and report all variances reported during receipt of goods from suppliers/ inter warehouse transfers and ensure proper adjustments are done after approval by Head of Finance, Head of Operations and Country Director.
    • Perform weekly stock reconciliations of physical counts against system for all categories of inventory at mysol shops and stock points and highlight variances to the head of finance and head of operations.
    • Perform monthly stock reconciliations of physical counts against system for all categories of inventory at the warehouse and all stock holding locations (shops, stock points and 3PD) and highlight variances to the head of finance, head of commercial, head of customer experience and head of operations.
    • Oversee and coordinate physical inventory counts of goods (monthly and cycle counts) for all locations along with regular inspections to identify discrepancies and ways to improve inventory management
    • Carry out spot checks (inventory ad hoc audits) on stock balances in all stock holding locations as against the system records to capture any anomalies.
    • Ensure that goods received by warehouse team are matched with the actual invoices and packing list from the suppliers
    • Reconcile stock deliveries to selling locations (shops/stock points/3PDs) with stock orders and raise non-conformity reports where applicable
    • Quarterly review and reporting on Inventory Ageing analysis report and implementing agreed/recommended actions
    • Coordinate with warehouse team to implement and ensure proper control systems and procedures to reduce theft, damage, breakage, and inventory obsolescence.

    .Experience

    • Minimum 3 Years’ experience in Stock accounting and management is an added advantage.
    • Good understanding of stock related operational and control requirements
    • Excellent computer skills with proficiency in MS Excel.
    • Ability to deliver excellent results under minimum supervision and keen eye for details

     Qualifications 

    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance/Business.

    Marketing Coordinator

    Job Purpose/Mission

    The Marketing Coordinator will support the execution of marketing strategies that drive customer acquisition, product adoption, and brand visibility across Kenya. The role plays a key part in coordinating field marketing, last-mile activations, and digital engagement to support Ignite Energy Access’ mission of delivering affordable, reliable energy solutions.

    Responsibilities :   
    Field Marketing & Last-Mile Activations

    • Plan and coordinate on-ground marketing activations in rural and peri-urban markets
    • Support the field teams with marketing materials and campaigns
    • Ensure strong brand visibility at shops, market storms, and community events
    • Work closely with regional teams to align campaigns with local market needs

    Campaign Execution (Above & Below the Line)

    • Assist in executing integrated campaigns (SMS, social media, activations)
    • Coordinate campaign timelines, materials, and stakeholder inputs
    • Monitor campaign performance and recommend improvements

    Customer Engagement & PAYGo Journey Support

    • Support initiatives that improve customer onboarding, education, and retention

    Vendor & Budget Coordination

    • Liaise with agencies, printers, media partners, and activation teams

    • Develop and localize marketing content (posters, flyers, messaging, digital content)
    • Ensure all materials are aligned to IEA brand guidelines

    Trade Marketing & Sales Support

    • Collaborate with Sales teams to drive sell-out campaigns and promotions
    • Support launch of new products in the market
    • Track availability and usage of POS materials across regions

    Market Intelligence & Insights

    • Gather insights from the field on customer behaviour, competitor activity, and product feedback
    • Conduct basic market research to support decision-making

    Experience

    • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related field
    • 2–4 years’ experience in marketing, preferably in FMCG, telecom, fintech, or off-grid energy
    • Experience working in rural or last-mile markets is highly desirable
    • Familiarity with PAYGo or financial inclusion models is an added advantage

    Collections Officer

    Job Purpose/Mission

    The Customer Finance Collections Officer will be fundamental to the successful implementation of our Customer Finance Strategy and in achieving our ambitious goals. S/he will work cross-functionally with a wide range of teams acting as the “eyes, ears and mouth” of the field teams in their responsibilities related to collections. They’ll work extremely closely to support in effectively carrying out Customer Finance related field activities by building out operational processes, systems and tools and making sure the right people get training and support to perform their role in the credit cycle and customer account management. They will work with the Field Operations Manager to ensure the application of operational best practices in credit Collections. The roles require the Collections Officer to spend 100% of her/his time in the field.  

    Responsibilities
    Field Team Activity Monitoring & Oversight – 60% 

    • Work closely with CX and CF teams to align on ambitious but achievable targets and benchmarks for the activities to be carried out in the field related to collections and repossessions and the targeted outcomes on credit performance improvement.  
    • Manage handling and reassignment of orphaned customers with support from the Field operations Manager.  
    • Routinely monitor the capacity requirements per each Hub as per the Orphaned Portfolio, and ensure this information is trickled down as targets for the
    • Collection champions.  
    • Responsible in Hiring of the Collection Champions based on the growth of Orphan portfolio in the Hubs. 
    • Responsible for ensuring proper training and compliance on Collection processes and field escalation activities to the Collection Champions.  
    • Implement and track field initiatives (e.g., Home Visits, Repossessions,) by the Collection Champions 
    • Generate route planners and trackers on a weekly and Monthly basis for collection Champions to aid in home Visits and Collections. 
    • Support Collection Champions in daily execution of their duties.  
    • Escalate any suspected Fraud cases in the areas under supervision to the Repossession and fraud coordinator.  
    • Manage repossessions done by the Collection agents and ensure they are returned to the Hub. 
    • Monitor and report on performance of all Collection champions on a Daily, weekly and monthly basis. 

    Field Team Day-to-Day Capacity, Performance Management & Support – 40% 

    • Directly Manage the Collection Champions in their day-to-day Collection and repossession activities and ensure Targets are achieved.  
    • Communication to the collection Champions.  
    • Coordination of weekly collection drives for the areas under their supervision.  
    • Troubleshooting & escalation of issues. ·       
    • Classroom & on-the-job training.
    • Support on recruitment & onboarding of Collection Champions.
    • Support Customer finance to implement regular customer repayment promotions and internal repayment campaigns through communication to the Collection Champions.  
    • Manage the Collection champions day to day operations related to Customer Finance. 

    Experience

    • 3+ years’ work experience in a similar role coordinating, supporting or managing field team activities, particularly in sectors like credit collections. 
    • Strong interpersonal skills with high degree of clarity in communication. 
    • Experience in delivering training to large groups coordinating the participants and venue, facilitating the session, and following up with the participants for assessment is a plus.  
    • Excitement about IGNITE’s mission and a deep desire to make an impact on off-grid and financially underserved customers in sub-Saharan Africa. 
    • Commitment to spending time in the field to support and mentoring Collection Champions.  
    • Experience in working directly with commission-based field agents will be an advantage.  
    • Must have a Valid riding License.

    Logistics Officer

    Job Purpose/Mission

    The Logistics Officer is responsible for managing end-to-end logistics operations, covering the importation of stock into the country, in-country distribution from the National Warehouse to Service Centres, and reverse logistics back to the Warehouse. The role ensures timely, cost effective, and compliant movement of goods while maintaining accurate inventory visibility across all locations.   
    The position plays a critical role in supporting business continuity and service delivery by ensuring product availability, efficient distribution, and controlled returns. The Logistics Officer is accountable for coordinating and managing third-party logistics (3PL) partners, enforcing service level agreements, and maintaining strong controls over stock movements to minimize losses, delays, and discrepancies. Working closely with internal teams, clearing agents, transporters, and 3PL partners, the logistics Officer ensures operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement across all logistics processes.

    Responsibilities:   

    • Support demand planning for imported stock by aligning inbound shipments with sales forecasts, inventory targets, and service level requirements to ensure continuous product availability.
    • Coordinate and manage the end-to-end importation process of solar products from international suppliers to the National Warehouse in Kenya, including shipment planning, customs clearance, regulatory approvals, and delivery timelines.
    • Maintain complete, accurate, and well-structured logistics documentation (import, transport, delivery, and disposal records), ensuring full traceability and readiness for internal, external, and regulatory audits.
    • Supervise unloading of inbound containers and verify seal integrity.
    • Manage and control all in-country stock movements, including outbound distribution from the Warehouse to Service Centers and reverse logistics returns back to the Warehouse, ensuring timely execution and physical stock verification.
    • Oversee and coordinate reverse logistics processes, including returns assessment, segregation, and reconciliation, ensuring accurate system updates and proper handling of returned and non- conforming stock.
    • Coordinate the safe, compliant, and fully documented disposal of electronic waste through licensed and certified recycling partners, in line with environmental regulations and internal policies.
    • Ensure all stock movements (inbound, outbound, inter-warehouse, and returns) are accurately and promptly recorded in the inventory management systems, maintaining real-time stock visibility, data integrity, and variance control.
    • Ensure full compliance with all logistics operations with applicable customs, trade, safety, and environmental regulations, as well as internal policies, procedures, and control frameworks.
    • Manage and monitor third-party logistics (3PL) partners, including transporters, clearing agents, and service providers, ensuring adherence to agreed service levels, costs, and compliance requirements.
    • Negotiate, manage, and review contracts, pricing, and service level agreements with logistics service providers to optimize costs, improve performance, and mitigate operational risks.
    • Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal stakeholders, logistics suppliers, 3PL partners, customs brokers, clearing agents, and regulatory bodies to support smooth, reliable, and efficient operations.

    Experience

    • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in logistics and supply chain operations with emphasis on international import coordination and in-country distribution.
    • Strong knowledge of customs clearance procedures, HS classification, trade compliance, and e-waste regulatory requirements.
    • Proven experience managing third-party logistics partners, negotiating contracts, establishing SLAs, and monitoring performance.
    • Experience leading cross-functional teams under measurable KPIs. 

    Qualifications 

    • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, International Trade, or a related discipline.
    • Master’s degree is an added advantage.
    • Professional certification (e.g., CSCP, CLTD, CPIM).

    Warehouse Manager

    Job Purpose/Mission

    The Warehouse Manager is responsible for overseeing the efficient operation of the warehouse and logistics functions at IEA K. This role includes managing inventory, coordinating the distribution and receipt of shipments, optimizing warehouse processes, and ensuring compliance with safety standards.

    Warehouse Operations & Planning

    • Oversee daily warehouse operations including receiving, storage, inventory handling, order fulfilment, and reverse logistics in collaboration with internal and external stakeholder ·         
    • Plan and manage warehouse capacity, space utilization, layout optimization, and material flows to support business requirements. 
    • Ensure efficient allocation of labour, equipment, and resources to meet operational targets. 
    • Support continuous alignment between warehouse operations and overall company objectives.

    Inventory Control & Accuracy

    • Own end-to-end inventory control, always ensuring high inventory accuracy and integrity.
    • Monitor stock levels, conduct cycle counts and periodic physical stock counts, and reconcile variances. 
    • Investigate inventory discrepancies, damages, losses, and obsolete stock, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
    • Ensure proper handling, segregation, and tracking of serialized, bulk, returned, and reverse- logistics items.
    • Implement double-verification before dispatch. 
    • Ensure serialized device traceability

    Inventory Management Systems & Data

    • Ensure real-time, accurate recording of all inventory movements and enforce full system-usage compliance. 
    • Ensure 100% on-time reporting of inventory and warehouse data in the company’s systems. 
    • Prepare and present daily, weekly, and monthly warehouse performance reports and dashboards. 
    • Use data and KPIs to drive operational decisions and continuous improvement.

    Cost, Risk & Audit Management

    • Develop, implement, and maintain warehouse SOPs, policies, and process documentation.
    • Drive continuous improvement initiatives (e.g. Lean, 5S, process optimization) to improve efficiency, accuracy, and cost control.
    • Support warehouse budgeting and cost monitoring
    • Identify operational risks and implement mitigation and corrective actions.
    • Prepare and present daily, weekly and monthly reports on warehouse performance and relevant KPIs

    People Management & Leadership·         

    • Lead, motivate, and develop warehouse staff to foster a positive, productive, and safety-focused work environment.
    • Set performance goals, conduct regular evaluations, and provide coaching, training, and skills development.
    • Plan staffing levels, shifts, overtime, and productivity targets in line with operational needs.
    • Manage performance issues, disciplinary processes, and succession planning where required.

    Experience

    • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in warehouse management, logistics, or supply chain operations, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
    • Strong working knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory control, order fulfillment, reverse logistics, and distribution processes.
    • Proven experience working with inventory management systems (WMS / ERP) and enforcing system and process compliance
    • Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage performance, and drive operational improvements.

     Qualifications 

    • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
    • Professional certifications in logistics, supply chain, or operations management (e.g. CIPS, APICS, or equivalent) will be an added advantage.
