    Waiters and Waitresses

    Job Purpose

    You are responsible for ensuring that customers have a satisfying dining experience. You are expected to provide fast, efficient and courteous service. You also discuss coordination between the kitchen and the dining area and review any customer service issues from the previous day or shift.

    Responsibilities

    • Greet and escort customers to their tables
    • Present menu and provide detailed information when asked (e.g. about portions, ingredients or potential food allergies)
    • Prepare tables by setting up linens, silverware and glasses
    • Inform customers about the day’s specials
    • Offer menu recommendations upon request
    • Up-sell additional products when appropriate
    • Take accurate food and drinks orders, order slips or by memorization
    • Communicate order details to the kitchen staff
    • Serve food and drink orders
    • Check dishes and kitchenware for cleanliness and presentation and report any problems
    • Arrange table settings and maintain a tidy dining area
    • Deliver checks and collect bill payments
    • Carry dirty plates, glasses and silverware to kitchen for cleansing
    • Meet with restaurant staff to review daily specials, changes on the menu and service specifications for reservations (e.g. parties)
    • Provide excellent customer service to guests

    Qualifications

    • Diploma in food and beverage management
    • A degree in Hospitality Management is an added advantage
    • Proven work experience as a waiter or waitress (Minimum1 year)
    • Strong organizational and multitasking skills with the ability to perform well in a fast-paced environment
    • Active listening and effective communication skills
    • Team spirit
    • Flexibility to work in shifts
    • Attentiveness and patience for customers

    Supervisor

    Job Purpose

    Supervise and run all restaurant operations. Manage staff in conjunction with the F&B Head, handle complaints and be person responsible in absence of the F&B Head.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Provide prompt, courteous and efficient food and beverage service.
    • Advise customers on all F&B choices and ensure  that the restaurant staff have similar product knowledge
    • Assist with maintaining high standards of quality control, hygiene, health and safety throughout
    • Maintain cleanliness of the work areas and equipment.
    • Effectively handle customer requests and concerns.
    • Must follow all cash handling policies and procedures.
    • Maintaining inventory of operating equipment, linen and guest supplies.
    • Ensures that standards/procedures are adhered to at all times.
    • Ensure an excellent service experience for guests
    • Possess excellent understanding and product knowledge and assist with the training of Restaurant staff
    • Build guest loyalty and gather constructive feedback to ensure satisfaction of every individual guest.
    • Conduct daily briefs prior to each and every service and liaise with the Chef and be aware of any special dishes.
    • Any other duties related to food and beverage service assigned by the F&B Head.

    Qualifications:

    • Diploma in food and beverage from a reputable college/university.
    • Must have a minimum of 2 years as a supervisor managing a team in a busy and fast-paced environment.
    • Must have knowledge of food and beverage service
    • A good communicator, friendly and inclusive, even after a long shift.
    • Must have excellent guest service skills always exceeding guest expectations.
    • Able to work with flexible working hours

    Mixologist

    Job Purpose

    The mixologist will be responsible for ensuring an outstanding experience, maintaining an exceptional standard of professionalism, conduct and service in the bar and driving sales. The mixologist must be able to meet all the needs of our guests while building true connections and relationships, compelling them to come back again.

    Responsibilities

    • Ensure that the bar is stocked with glasses, garnishes, drink mixes and ice.
    • Request for the order of bar supplies from the store’s officer.
    • Regulate the sales of alcoholic drinks to clients who are of age. (18+years)
    • Safeguarding all the stocks at the bar and following the recipes to maintain consistency and avoid wastages
    • Keep the bar neat and clean.
    • Ensure that the bar is adequately stocked with drinks at all times.
    • Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, which includes mixing ingredients to prepare cocktails in accordance with the standard recipes
    • Meet with customers and F&B supervisors to discuss menus for special occasions such as weddings, parties, and banquets.
    • Check the quantity and quality of received products.
    • Demonstrate new techniques and equipment necessary to improve the bar experience at all times.

    Job Requirements

    • Certificate in bartending and mixology services techniques.
    • Ability to communicate in an appropriate, professional manner with customers and other employees
    • Ability to read, comprehend and follow menus, recipes and instructions.
    • Customer service skills and methods for developing new recipes.
    • Must have the ability to stand behind bars for long periods and repeatedly lift materials.
