    Recruitment Manager

    Position summary:

    At the Rainforest Alliance we are looking for an enthusiastic, service oriented, and detail focused new team member for our Talent Acquisition team. The Rainforest Alliance is a fast-growing organization with 650+ staff spread across the globe with the ambition to further diversity its staff base and, to hire significantly more staff in the three geographical regions where we create the impact.

    The Recruitment Manager is leading the Global Talent Acquisition team, with the support of 2 Full-time colleagues (based in Latin America and Europe, Africa or Asia). This role is responsible to manage the end-to-end recruitment process while delivering a distinctive candidate experience.

    • Design, implement and lead the global strategy for talent acquisition in line with the mission and culture of the organization;

    • Based on RA’s goals and strategy, responsible for job descriptions design to attract the desired talent, and uses inclusive language aligned with the diversity and inclusion strategy;
    • Responsible for the recruitment of all senior level positions;
    • Develop and follow up recruitment KPI’s, in coordination with Lead People Analytics;
    • Develop relationships with third party recruitment agencies and staffing firms and manage the procurement and measurement process;
    • Develop recruiting and interviewing best practices and build expertise and capacity by training, coaching and mentoring Hiring Managers across the organization; and
    • Responsible for managing the Talent Acquisition budget.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s and / or Masters’ degree in Human Resources Management or related field preferred.
    • 7+ year’s relevant experience in recruitment required.
    • Minimum 2-3 years’ people management experience.
    • Knowledge of trends and cutting-edge HR strategies.

    People Data Analyst

    This is a new role in the Rainforest Alliance, working within the Organizational Effectiveness & Analytics Centre of Expertise (CoE). Working with colleagues across all Rainforest Alliance global locations, key stakeholders will include Leadership Team, department heads, People Business Partners (PBPs), and the Talent & Learning and DEI CoEs. 

    Working closely with key stakeholders the Analyst will take a proactive approach to spot opportunities to solve organizational problems through the use of People data; developing and testing hypotheses, drawing insights and creating clear visualizations and reports.

    Responsibilities:

    • Consult with key stakeholders to proactively identify opportunities for further diagnostic analysis, develop hypotheses and determine key data sources for analysis;
    • To enable our PBPs, Advisors and managers, identify and develop self-service reports and dashboards within the HRIS (UKG);
    • Develop and maintain appropriate metrics, dashboards and reports for People KPIs, including Talent & Learning and DEI;
    • Handle ad hoc data requests, gathering, analysing and reporting from various sources, including HRIS, surveys, performance management and applicant tracking tools;
    • Participate in CoE projects by supporting with data needs; including, for example, workforce analysis, compensation and benefits analysis, performance analysis;
    • Provide operational support, and proactively identify improvements to key People data processes to ensure optimal collection, set-up and use of people data; 
    • Identify improvements in tools and processes to enable our evolution to strategic predictive and prescriptive analysis;
    • Provide accurate and timely insights and analysis for management reports;
    • Participate in Data & Analytics Community of Practice as People data subject-matter-expert; share learnings and identify opportunities for collaboration, furthering the impact of HR data reporting;
    • Act as custodian of all People data, ensuring data quality, compliance with data protection regulations and internal data governance requirements; and
    • Other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications: 

    • Minimum 7 years work experience within Data Analytics function.
    • Experience working within a HR function either as Analyst or in a generalist/HRBP role.
    • Advanced Excel; and, experience working with data visulalization tools PowerBI, Tableu or Qlik. PowerBI highly desirable.
    • Strong data visualization capability.
    • Excellent consulting or business partnering capabilities, working effectively with key stakeholders to extract and distil information for further analysis.
    • Strong data skills, able to analyse complex datasets and provide meaningful analysis and visualisations.
    • Highly analytical and inquisitive, with strong attention to detail.
    • Expertise in building KPIs and metrics.
    • Must be pro-active, creative, self-driven and able to work collaboratively.

    People Project Manager

    Position summary:

    The Rainforest Alliance are looking to bring in an experienced & innovative People Project Manager to join the Organizational Effectiveness Centre of Expertise (CoE) within the global People department. This is a new and exciting role which will help further the ambitions of the Rainforest Alliance as we embark on our aspirational 2023-2030 strategy.

    The Project Manager will be responsible for developing & delivering strategic People solutions that deliver value throughout the organization, from organization design, workforce planning, through to HRIS evolution. Partnering closely with People Business Partners (PBPs) to understand needs, test and validate before deploying solutions through the broader Advice & Operations team.

    To be successful in this role, deep knowledge of HR processes, best practice, and innovations in the field is essential, alongside solid and proven change and project management capabilities to ensure timely, cost-effective and professional implementation. 

    Responsibilities:

    • End-to-end project management of strategic People projects, including large-scale long-term projects and incremental updates and continuous improvements; 
    • Partner closely with PBPs throughout iterative project development and ensuring clear alignment on implementation plan (led by People Services);
    • Implement People projects framework, establishing & monitoring timelines, setting milestones and deliverables, dependencies, issues and risks; and supporting People colleagues to embed project management disciplines in their work, as required;
    • Keep abreast of current developments in HR, to inform project design and make recommendations for future projects and improvements;
    • Work with People Analyst to develop, monitor and communicate project KPIs; and, make use of available data to help inform on project design;
    • Develop change management plans, in partnership with Talent & Learning and PBPs, to drive adoption and ensure seamless implementation;
    • Facilitate collaboration and feed-back loops across People department and with other key stakeholders, in order to support with ideating, validating, piloting and ensuring user-centricity remains at the forefront of project design.

    Qualifications: 

    • Bachelor’s in Human Resources Management, or locally recognised HR professional qualification; or equivalent working experience.
    • Project and/or change management certification highly desirable.
    • Minimum 7-years’ experience as HR Manager/HR BP/HR Project Specialist.
    • Significant experience leading HR projects within a complex & changing international organization, from design to implementation either as sole role, or within HR function.
    • Demonstrable experience of leading change management initiatives.
    • Highly adaptable, able to consult for input/feedback, pivot or
    • A strong communicator, able to lead and influence without authority.
    • Must be pro-active, creative, self-driven and able to work collaboratively.

    Farm and Supply Chain Economics Lead

    POSITION SUMMARY 

    The Global Lead Farm Economics develops & implements strategic objectives of the Rainforest Alliance with respect to sustainable livelihoods and economics of the farm for focus crops and regions. This includes: 

    1. Provide dynamic and creative leadership and coordination for the implementation of Rainforest Alliance’s farm economics strategy & workstream; 
    2. Co-lead innovative programs, projects, and proposal design and development of interventions within these areas of expertise, including cultivation and support for key partner, company and donor relationships; 
    3. Support the implementation of the Sustainable Agriculture Standard of Rainforest Alliance, related tools, training and guidance documents; 
    4. Support the implementation of landscape & community programs and projects on increasing and achieving sustainable livelihoods for farmers; 
    5. Collaborate with other theme leads and colleagues across the organization and provide technical support to ensure Rainforest Alliance’s programs on climate, regenerative agriculture, biodiversity, human rights and gender have a positive impact on farmers’ economic resilience. 

     

    We look for a professional with outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, and a strong writing capacity including the ability to write for a diverse set of audiences, including local stakeholders, development practitioners, donors and the general public and. Our ideal candidate has a strong team-based orientation, and is capable to excel under minimal supervision. His or her excellent interpersonal skills come with the ability to interact culturally, linguistically, and diplomatically with diverse internal and external individuals. Project management is an important part of the job, which means that strong organizational skills and efficient management of multiple tasks and priorities are needed.  

     

    RESPONSIBILITIES:   

    • Lead, develop and support implementation of strategy and global engagement on the farm economics topic and its synergies with other themes, including climate, regenerative agriculture, biodiversity, living wage, gender and human rights; 
    • Support the development and implementation of the farm economics element of the certification program, including supply chain investments, related tools and guidance; 
    • Collaborate with regional and advocacy colleagues to support their work to advance economic resilience of especially smallholders;  
    • Together with the Markets teams (tailored programs, core markets, sectors), engage and support companies in the development and implementation of strategies and programs which enable economic resilience including closing the gap to a living income; 
    • Provide technical support to Rainforest Alliance’s programs on climate, regenerative agriculture, biodiversity, human rights and gender to incorporate farmers’ economic resilience. 
    • Provide technical advice, evidence and lessons learned and feedback to colleagues on economic resilience to support program development and implementation; 
    • Ensure continuous learning, knowledge management, through communities of practices, awareness raising and technical capacity building across the organization; 
    • In coordination with advocacy, partnerships teams and the market teams, represent the organization at events and conferences;  
    • Be the internal and external point of contact for technical topics on farm economics, living income / economic resilience etc. 

     

    Qualifications:   

    • First degree in Economics, Agronomy, Natural Resource Management, Environmental Science or related studies, and Master’s degree or PhD in Agricultural Economics or MBA; 
    • Minimum 7 years professional (and field) experience in agricultural economics related work, preferably with experience in the global south; 
    • Experience in supply chain economics; 
    • Knowledge of certification programs in the context of living income/livelihoods and sustainability practices (desired); 
    • Experience in the sustainable production of at least one of Rainforest Alliance focus crops (cocoa, coffee, tea, banana) would be preferable; 
    • Experience in fundraising, including the design of complex proposals and projects, with bilateral or multilateral donor agencies and company partnerships; 
    • Fluency in English, both verbal and written. Additional languages in particular Spanish and/or French are an asset; 
    • Ability and willingness to travel up to 25% of the time.

    Senior People Business Partner

    The Senior People Business Partner is the intermediary between the business and the people services department and maintains a close relationship with the other HR functions to deliver value-added services to management and employees. The Senior People Business Partner will advise and partner with stakeholders across various HR topics, as well as implement HR Policy to contribute to achieving the functions’ objectives.

    The core objective in the Business Partner role is to advise and partner with C-level management of an allocated business unit across various (HR) topics, as well as implement HR policy and instruments to contribute optimally to achieving organizational objectives through sufficient staffing levels and efficient organization. Business Partner roles should focus on reinforcing the quality of line manager’s leadership responsibilities and capabilities.

    • Partner, coach and challenge business leaders on People related topics, actively engaging on tactical and strategic topics, problem statements, business goals and priorities, balancing the HR, manager, employee, and company perspectives;
    • Make use of dashboards and reports to identify trends, successes, opportunities and risks to inform discussions with Leadership;
    • Responsible for end-to-end delivery and adoption of critical People topics within the specific business unit (e.g. promote and enable engagement conversations, performance optimization, implement programs that attract and retain talent);
    • Responsible for ensuring the capabilities needed in the respective organizations are there to deliver the business targets;
    • Create tailored solutions for people's challenges in partnership with (relevant) CoE’s and People Services;
    • Partner closely with People Project Manager throughout iterative project development;
    • Lead on the implementation, in partnership with People Services, of new/revised solutions coming from CoEs; ensuring successful adoption and change management processes;
    • To be the voice of the business within the HR Department. Accountable for identifying, predicting, and articulating key people related business challenges and feeding information into appropriate CoEs for analysis and/or further action;
    • Represent the HR Department in front of business partners. Ensure the business receives consistent quality of service and guidance so the business feels the HR Department is acting as one voice; and
    • Change management: Partner with assigned business unit(s) on change initiatives.

    Qualifications:

    • Master’s degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineer, Human Resources Management, Industrial Psychology, or related field.
    • 10 years minimum proven work experience in Human Resources, preferably generalist experience.
    • Able to develop strong relationships and influence a wide range of stakeholders within the organization.
    • Proactive and thought-through approach to problem solving.
    • Curious and data literate; able to make sense of People reports and dashboards to inform discussions;
    • Comfortable working in a changing and dynamic environment and able to guide stakeholders through this environment.
    • Proactive, data-driven, takes initiative, able to prioritize without close supervision.
    • Experience of advising on complex employee relations topics.
    • Excellent communication skills both verbally and in writing in English.
