    Senior Project Manager – Electric

    About the Role:

    The Senior Project Manager – Electric will play a critical role in ensuring the seamless execution of BURN’s new market entry strategies and pilot programs for electric products. This role focuses on operational excellence, logistics, and coordination, serving as the key partner to the Senior Product Manager.

    The Senior Project Manager ensures all functions—ranging from shipping and warehousing to team onboarding and on-the-ground training—are executed efficiently to support successful market launches and product pilots. 

    Duties and Responsibilities:  

    • New Market Entry Execution 
    • Coordinate and manage the operational setup for new market entries, including: 
    • Technology integrations with key partners in the market. 
    • Warehousing and office setup. 
    • Product shipping and delivery logistics. 
    • Stock management processes. 
    • Lead the resource allocation and recruitment schedule of local teams in new markets. 
    • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, budgets, timelines, and risk mitigation strategies for all market entry activities. 
    • Ensure compliance with local regulations and operational standards for logistics, staffing, and technology integration. 
    • Pilot Program Coordination 
    • Support the Senior Product Manager in executing pilot programs for product validation, particularly in early-stage market entries. 
    • Manage logistical elements of pilots, including product delivery, tracking, and reporting. 
    • Monitor pilot timelines and resources to ensure programs meet key performance metrics. 
    • Cross-Functional Collaboration 
    • Act as the primary liaison between internal teams (Product, Engineering, Operations, Commercial) and external stakeholders (logistics providers, regulators, technology partners) to ensure seamless execution. 
    • Provide operational updates to stakeholders, highlighting progress, risks, and mitigation plans. 
    • Collaborate with the Product Owner to align pilot program needs with product development timelines. 
    • Operational Excellence 
    • Manage and track budgets for market entry and pilot programs, ensuring cost-effective execution. 
    • Oversee the setup and maintenance of operational infrastructure in new markets. 
    • Develop and document best practices for market entry and pilot program processes to support scaling efforts. 

    Skills and Experience: 

    Essential 

    • Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field. 
    • Minimum 5 years of experience in project management, preferably in logistics, operations, or emerging markets. 
    • Certification in PMI or PMP. 
    • Proven ability to manage complex, cross-functional projects with multiple stakeholders. 
    • Excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to track and coordinate multiple workstreams 

    Desirable 

    • Experience working in renewable energy, IoT-enabled products, or PAYGo solutions. 
    • Familiarity with market entry strategies and product pilots in emerging markets. 
    • Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Smartsheet). 
    • Understanding of local regulations and operational challenges in East and West Africa.

    Website Designer

    About the Role:

    The Website Designer will be responsible for designing, maintaining, and optimizing BURN’s corporate website to ensure a seamless user experience, strong brand alignment, and effective stakeholder engagement. Embedded within the Communications department, the role will primarily focus on the corporate website while also supporting the Marketing team in managing updates to the e-commerce section. The ideal candidate should have a keen eye for design, user experience, and technical web development.

    Duties and Responsibilities:
    Website Design & Maintenance

    • Design and maintain BURN’s corporate website to ensure a professional, user-friendly, and visually appealing experience.
    • Ensure all website updates align with BURN’s brand identity and messaging.
    • Optimize website layout, structure, and content for better engagement and accessibility.
    • Work closely with the Head of Content and Communications team to update key pages with new content.

    E-Commerce Website Support

    • Collaborate with the Marketing team to manage and update the e-commerce section of the website, including product listings, promotions, and checkout experience.
    • Implement improvements to enhance the online customer journey and increase conversions.
    • Ensure seamless integration between corporate and e-commerce sections of the website.

    UX/UI & Performance Optimization

    • Enhance website navigation, mobile responsiveness, and user experience (UX/UI).
    • Improve website speed, SEO, and performance through best practices in web design and coding.
    • Conduct usability testing and implement user feedback to improve site experience.

    Technical Support & Website Security

    • Ensure website security updates and best practices are implemented to prevent vulnerabilities.
    • Troubleshoot technical issues, coordinating with IT or external developers when necessary.
    • Regularly back up website data and ensure minimal downtime.

    Analytics & Reporting

    • Monitor website performance using analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics) and generate reports on key metrics such as traffic, engagement, and conversions.
    • Provide insights and recommendations to improve website effectiveness.

    Skills and Experience:

    • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Web Design, Graphic Design, Computer Science, or a related field.
    • 1-3 years of experience in website design, development, or a similar role.
    • Proficiency in WordPress, HTML, CSS, and basic JavaScript for website design and maintenance.
    • Experience with website builders, themes, and customization tools.
    • Basic knowledge of SEO best practices and Google Analytics.
    • Understanding of UX/UI principles and mobile-friendly web design.
    • Strong visual design skills, with experience using Figma, Adobe XD, or Canva.
    • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
    • Experience with e-commerce platforms (e.g., WooCommerce, Shopify) is a plus.
    • Familiarity with A/B testing, usability testing, and website optimization strategies.
    • Basic knowledge of email marketing tools (e.g., Mailchimp) and content management systems.
    • Ability to work with cross-functional teams (Communications, Marketing, IT) to translate business needs into functional website designs.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills to collaborate effectively with different teams.
