    Mortuary Superintendent III

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • To be responsible for cleaning and pertaining duties related to the mortuary
    • Receiving of dead bodies from wards, public and police and delivering same to relatives/parents/police
    • Wrapping in mortuary sheets, labelling and sorting of dead bodies in the cold room of the mortuary
    • Cleaning, wrapping in mortuary sheets, labelling after autopsies for cases referred to the hospital by the police
    • Keeping of appropriate registers for receipt and delivery of dead bodies at the mortuary
    • Washing, cleaning and disinfecting of mortuary equipment and instrument after post-mortem examinations
    • Embalming of dead bodies, whenever required
    • Delivering of dead bodies after autopsies to relatives/parents/police
    • Placing of dead bodies from ward and autopsies in appropriate coffins, whenever required

    Requirements for Appointment

    • Be a Kenyan citizen
    • Relevant training from a recognized institute
    • Training in embalming will be an added advantage
    • Minimum of 2 years’ experience

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Respond appropriately to emergency calls

    Principal Human Capital Management Officer

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Ensure correct interpretation and implementation of human capital regulations relating to pensions, human resource information systems, labour laws and other statutes relating to human resource management
    • Processing, analysis and presentation quarterly staff return reports from the user departments
    • Updating the Human Resource talent pool database, staff establishment, policies and operational documents and manuals

    Human Resource Management Assistant II (HR Metrics and Analytics)

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Responsible for compiling, structuring, and analyzing Human Resources data to make conclusions that helps in decision making
    • Compile and present HR data and metrics from the Human Resource Information system (HRIS) and payroll outputs
    • Conduct workload analysis
    • Develop assessments for potential and current employees and update employment records
    • Support recruiting processes with data and statistics for trends and patterns

    Legal Assistant

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Provide legal support to the Board and Secretariat to enhance the Boards effectiveness
    • Handle legal communication that is addressed to the Board and give preliminary recommendations
    • Participate in the negotiations and preparations of Collective Bargaining Agreements (CBA’s)
    • Prepare case briefs and summarize depositions, interrogatories and testimony

    Chairperson- County Audit Commitee

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Set the agenda for each meeting with the committee members
    • Provide oversight on risk management, controls and governance processes and audit affairs of the county government and make appropriate recommendations to the County Executive Committee regarding internal control and audit matters; and
    • Follow up on the implementation of the recommendations of internal and external auditors.
    • Arrange for a periodic review of the effectiveness of the audit committee alongside its mandate
    • Demonstrate independence and impartiality in decision making which accord with the legal constitutional and policy requirement
    • Provide clarification to members on the audit committee’s responsibilities

    Requirements for Appointment

    • Be a Kenyan Citizen

    • One shall not be a past or present employee of the entity, and shall not have served as an employee or agent of a business organization which has carried out any business with County Government of Siaya in the last two years.
    • Have at least 10 years of experience in a senior management position, where their scope of work covered the entire organization they were working with.
    • Be a member, in good standing, of a professional body such as: IIA, ICPAK, ICPSK; IAK; APSEA; ACFE; LSK and any other relevant professional body.
    • Be and independent proactive leader with confidence and high integrity
    • Demonstrate a knowledge and understanding of the object, principles and functions of the County Government of Siaya.
    • Demonstrate competence in leadership and business management
