    System Administrator

    Job Description

    To plan, organize, manage staff and overall operations to ensure stable operations of the bank’s IT Systems through best practices and the appropriate collaboration with technical, business and third party organizations.

    • Provide leadership and direction to the IT Systems staff on the corporate vision, mission, values and behaviors.
    • Ensure annual review and staff appraisals are completed for all staff in accordance with the banks procedures and timelines.
    • Identify staff training needs and ensure ongoing development to ensure team members remain adequately skilled.

    Job Description

    Ensure the health and optimization of all oracle data-based applications and support of Management Information Systems (Data Ware-house and Business intelligence (BI)) and all reporting and analytics systems.

    • Manage and support high performance, highly available and mission critical database platforms for the Core Banking and other systems.

    Job Description

    The role supports the Group Head of Audit in assisting the Board and Executive Management to protect the assets, reputation and sustainability of the Old Mutual Group. The role will be responsible for execution of data analytics and reviews for all the Old Mutual business operations in East Africa that include; Banking , Investments, Properties, Short-term and Long-term insurance.

    • To execute data analytics and audits for Old Mutual entities in East Africa.
    • To deliver audit assignments in accordance with the Group Internal Audit methodology and audit plan.
    • Participate in development and implementation of risk-based audit plans.
    • To understand the risk profile of the business, gain and apply extensive industry knowledge in the various business lines.
    • Provide independent opinion on risk & control environment for the various business units or processes.
    • Engage with business unit process owners to agree on audit deliverables (risk assessments, control workshops and adequacy assessments) and timeframes and issues findings in relation to work done.
    • Challenge and influence the relevant executives to improve the governance, risk and control culture.
    • Meet key customers to gain a better understanding of business expectations.
    • Effectively communicate the results of audit reviews with management.
    • Understand the data flows through the various systems in Old Mutual group and develop a review plan that addresses key risks.

    Job Description

    To assess, price and determine terms for risks presented within set standards of service in a manner to ensure quality selection of risks and timely service

    PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES.

    • Determine acceptability of risks, recommend risk surveys, monitor and review terms of accounts assigned
    • Supervise, train and mentor staff on technical matters to ensure their skills are sharpened
    • Check and sign underwriting document to authenticate it
    • Prepare and follow up renewal notices to ensure retention
    • Requisition for premium refund to facilitate issue of cheque
    • Ensure that premiums are paid in respect of accounts managed

    Customer Service Officer

    Job Description

    The incumbent will be responsible for enforcing underwriting controls in the branch including on-barding, certificates, booking of business, documentation, Implementing underwriting guidelines, processes and procedures to ensure quality underwriting and business, ensuring profitability of the branch through quality control and on-boarding, ensuring quality documentation, timely turn around and maintaining excellent customer service and retention support.

    KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Debiting and processing of renewal endorsements

    • Review and dispatch of notices within set TAT
    • Ensure work is done within the set standards of service – Customer service charter

    • Onboarding of retail medical clients and ensuring the customers receive medical cards
    • Perform any other duties as may be required by the management.
