    Instagram and TikTok Growth Specialist

    SCOPE OF WORK:

    Under the supervision of the Social Media Manager, the Instagram and TikTok Growth Specialist at Nalafem will spearhead the development and execution of innovative strategies to bolster organic influence and engagement on these platforms, aligning with Nalafem's mission and objectives and handle four Nalafem accounts:

    Instagram:

    • Nalafem main account: @ nalafem
    • Nalafem podcast account: @ iamnala_podcast

    Tiktok:

    • Nalafem’s main account: @ nalafem
    • Nalafem podcast account: @ iamnala_podcast

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    Strategy Development and Implementation:

    • Craft and deploy dynamic growth strategies, working closely with the content creator for Instagram and TikTok that enhance Nalafem’s digital presence and drive engagement.
    • Stay abreast of the latest platform trends and features, adapting strategies to maximize Nalafem’s organic reach and audience growth.

    Content Programming and Optimization:

    • Offer ongoing advice on content programming, channel optimization, and management to elevate Nalafem’s brand identity on Instagram and TikTok.
    • Monitor and evaluate content performance analytics, providing insights for branding and engagement improvement.

    Reporting and Documentation:

    • Provide frequent updates to the Nalafem management on the progress of social media initiatives, growth metrics, and strategic outcomes.

    Data Management and KPI Tracking:

    • Diligently track and update data related to audience development and strategic planning.
    • Monitor and report on key performance indicators regularly, ensuring alignment with Nalafem’s growth targets.

    Support Structure:

    • Collaborate closely with Nalafem’s social media team to ensure cohesive and synchronized campaign execution.
    • Receive support from the broader social medial team for cross-platform initiatives and integrated campaigns.

    Growth Expectations:

    • Achieve targeted growth rate of 40% within 6 months in follower numbers, engagement levels, and content reach on
    • Instagram and TikTok within set timeframes.

    Review and Adaptation:

    • Engage in regular strategic reviews to fine-tune the approach based on platform analytics, community feedback, and evolving online engagement patterns.

    QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

    • Demonstrable experience with Instagram and TikTok growth strategies and community management.
    • Deep understanding of social media analytics and data-driven decision-making.
    • Proficiency in content creation and digital branding, preferably with a focus on social change and advocacy.
    • Excellent relationship-building and communication skills, with the ability to engage and inspire influencers and creators.

    Social Media Campaign and Influencer Officer

    SCOPE OF WORK:

    Under the supervision of the Social Media Manager, the Social Media Campaign and Influencer Officer will be supporting Nalafem's online presence and outreach. Their primary objective is to amplify the collective's initiatives, through targeted social media campaigns (Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn and Tiktok) and influencer partnerships.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    Campaign Strategy Development:

    • Create and implement innovative social media campaign strategies that align with Nalafem's goals and initiatives. Design promotional plans for but not limited to these Nalafem initiatives to ensure extensive visibility and engagement:
      • The annual Nalafem Summit
      • I am Nala book
      • I am Nala podcast
      • I am Nala fellowship
      • Any other Nalafem partnership

    Influencer Outreach and Management:

    • Identify, vet, and engage as well as create a database of influencers and thought leaders within the feminist space and related to feminist spaces to establish partnerships that promote Nalafem's values and campaigns.
    • Manage all aspects of influencer collaborations, including negotiation, content creation oversight, and performance tracking.

    Content Coordination:

    • Oversee the production of creative and impactful content tailored for each campaign, ensuring it resonates with both Nalafem's audience and the broader community.
    • Collaborate with social media team and graphic designer to develop high-quality materials for campaign rollouts.
    • Oversee the budget allocated for social media campaigns and influencer partnerships, ensuring all activities are within financial limits and efficiently allocated.
    • Anticipate and manage potential crises or negative feedback arising from online campaigns, addressing issues with professionalism and in alignment with Nalafem's reputation management strategies

    Analytics and Reporting:

    • Monitor and analyze campaign performance against KPIs, providing regular reports to the and adjusting strategies as necessary for optimal results.
    • Track influencer campaign effectiveness, ensuring alignment with campaign goals and ROI expectations.

    QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

    • Familiarity and facility with mainstream social media platforms including, but not limited to, Facebook, Twitter, Youtube, Instagram and Tiktok;

    Executive Assistant

    SCOPE OF WORK

    The Executive Assistant will be responsible for managing tasks for the Executive Director & President such as creating reports, organizing travel and accommodation, taking minutes, and other administrative tasks.

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Support the Executive Director & President primarily and provide additional support to the secretariat, as directed, to ensure that Nalafem goals and objectives are accomplished and that operations run efficiently;
    • Plan and orchestrate work to ensure that priorities are met, organizational goals are achieved, and best practices are upheld;
    • Be the point of contact among executives, employees, and other external partners in scheduling meetings and taking minutes:
    • Provide administrative assistance, such as writing and editing emails, drafting memos, letters and preparing communications on the Executive Director’s & President’s behalf:
    • Research and prepare documents for review and presentation by the Executive Director & President;
    • Researching for and writing talking points for the President and The Executive Director;
    • Manage the Executive Director & President calendars, including making appointments and prioritizing the most sensitive matters;
    • Organize meetings, including scheduling, sending reminders, and writing and distributing minutes including daily staff meetings;
    • Manage senior executives’ travel logistics and activities, including accommodations, transportation, and meals in
    • coordination with finance and admin officer;
    • Manage the hello@nalafem.org email by screening and distributing correspondence to the relevant staff;
    • Maintain the filing system and contacts database;
    • Maintain professionalism and strict confidentiality with all materials;

    • Proven experience as a an executive assistant or similar executive role
    • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field

    Content Creator

    SCOPE OF WORK

    Under the supervision of the Social Media Manager, the Content Creator will be responsible for crafting and executing a dynamic content strategy across Nalafem’s social media platforms, supporting the implementation of plans and strategies for Nalafem’s social media platforms This role demands creativity, strategic planning, and keen attention to detail in order to engage with our audience and expand our digital footprint.

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
    Content Strategy and Calendar Development:

    Construct a detailed monthly content calendar for each platform (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, TikTok and YouTube) incorporating Nalafem’s key messaging pillars and six flagship projects, Regularly update the content plan to ensure alignment with evolving campaign goals and organizational milestones.

    Content Creation and Management:

    • Generate and refine micro-content (e.g., memes, GIFs, tweets) and macro-content (e.g., blog posts, newsletter articles, video scripts) in collaboration with the social media team and graphic designer
    • Employ content scheduling tools (Hootsuite, Iconosquare, Metricool) to ensure consistent and timely posting across all platforms.
    • Maintain a rigorous posting schedule, with a minimum of one post per day on each platform, pending review and approval.

    Event Coverage and Content Production:

    • Engage in live coverage of various Nalafem events, both online and offline, to source multimedia content, including photos, videos, and quotes, that captures the essence of each event.
    • Create compelling video/vlog/audio content, showing proficiency and confidence in on-camera presentations and voiceovers.
    • Edit and refine video content to meet Nalafem's quality standards and brand voice.

    Asset Management:

    • Organize and maintain an accessible library of photos, videos, and design templates to streamline the content creation process.

    Analytics and Reporting:

    • Conduct quarterly social media analytics assessments to track and analyze metrics such as reach, engagement, and impressions.
    • Compile detailed monthly reports on social media performance for both internal strategy refinement and external stakeholder updates.
    • Proactively identify trends, gather community feedback, and adapt content strategies to drive growth and improve engagement.

    Growth and Engagement:

    • Develop innovative engagement strategies to grow Nalafem’s social media presence by 30-40% within a six-month timeframe, particularly focusing on:

    Community Manager

    SCOPE OF WORK

    Under the supervision of the Social Media Manager, the Community Manager will be the first point of contact with the followers and influencers, thus developing an intimate relationship with the online community. They will be responsible for aligning all communications, PR, social media, and marketing content to create a strong brand identity.

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
    Community Engagement:

    • Actively engage with online audiences through Nalafem digital channels: Instagram, Twitter, Whatsapp, LinkedIn, Facebook.
    • Manage and facilitate social media communities by responding to social media posts and developing discussions as well as communicating with followers, responding to queries in a timely manner and monitoring reviews.
    • Engage in conversations wherever Nalafem is mentioned or where there is a comment on Nalafem pages
    • Keep the Nala community abreast of updates and happenings by reposting/sharing content related to: council activities, grants and grantee activities, opportunities, webinars or special events etc

    Strategy Development

    • Develop and implement a community management strategy & build the brand visibility of Nalafem
    • Gather and relay community feedback to refine engagement strategies.
    • Support in implementing the overall social media strategy to increase engagement and followers.

    Brand Visibility and Growth

    • Grow Nalafem’s social media following through various community engagement strategies by 30-40% in 6 months.
    • Organize various community-building initiatives to cultivate and grow participation in community forums.

    Analytics and Reporting:

    • Conduct regular analysis of community metrics.
    • Generate detailed reports on community growth and engagement.

    Platform- Specific duties
    FACEBOOK

    • Create and expand a Facebook group dedicated to gender information and discussions, fostering a supportive community.
    • Actively promote Nalafem's Facebook page and group as authoritative sources for gender-related information in Africa.
    • Generate awareness for facebook page and group as the credible platforms for gender information in Africa.
    • Work to increase the number of likes and followers of the Facebook page by at least 50% from the initial notice date.
    • Create and implement campaigns to generate engagement and trust among social media users
    • Identify and interact with other active social media communities to support and extend the reach of ongoing campaigns.
    • Regularly provide timely and relevant content tailored to current events and seasonal themes, ensuring it resonates with the audience.

    TWITTER (X)

    • Actively manage the Nalafem Twitter community by responding to queries, moderating and removing spam comments, and refining tweet content to maintain a high-quality, informative presence.
    • Organize and facilitate monthly Twitter Spaces on topics relevant to Nalafem's mission and community growth, encouraging dialogue and engagement among followers.
    • Strategically promote Nalafem's Twitter handle as a trusted source for gender-related information in Africa, enhancing its credibility and reach.
    • Develop and execute creative Twitter campaigns to boost the account's visibility and increase follower engagement.
    • Aim to increase the Twitter follower count by at least 30% from the start date, tracking progress and adjusting strategies as needed.

    WHATSAPP

    • Actively foster a supportive and interactive community by initiating and moderating discussions, sharing relevant updates, and engaging members in dialogue to create a vibrant group atmosphere.
    • Disseminate important announcements, articles, and resources relevant to the community's interests. Ensure that content shared is timely, accurate, and aligns with Nalafem’s mission and objectives.
    • Oversee the addition and vetting of new members to ensure they align with the community’s goals and values.
    • Manage member lists and maintain an organized, respectful, and safe environment.
    • Regularly solicit and compile feedback from group members. Use this information to gauge the community's needs and preferences, informing future strategies and activities.
    • Share information about upcoming Nalafem events, webinars, and initiatives. Facilitate discussions post-event to gather insights and encourage ongoing engagement.

    LINKEDIN

    • Establish Nalafem’s LinkedIn groups, creating a platform for discussions and networking focused on gender equality and women's empowerment in Africa.
    • Actively engage group members by initiating and facilitating relevant discussions.
    • Implement strategies to grow membership with professionals interested in Nalafem’s mission.
    • Gather and implement member feedback to enhance group engagement and experience.
    • Foster professional connections among members and engage key opinion leaders to amplify Nalafem’s impact.
