    Information Communication Technology (ICT) Manager

    Job Summary:

    Reporting to the Chief Principal, the ICT Manager will oversee the polytechnic’s technology network infrastructure and digital strategy. The ideal candidate will ensure efficient ERP operations, mitigate against cyber security issues, drive digital transformation, and ensuring adherence to established ICT standards and other statutory requirements.

    Job Description:

    • Manage IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, and security systems.
    • Develop and implement IT strategies and policies.
    • Oversee IT support services.
    • Evaluate systems and ensure they comply with established ICT security standards and requirements;
    • Conduct regular network and security audits.
    • Prepare budget and work plan for the Department;
    • Manage Systems development and implementation process.
    • Train staff on IT best practices and emerging technologies.
    • Provide technical support and strategic guidance for ODeL initiatives, ensuring seamless integration of ICT solutions to enhance virtual learning environment.

    Job Specifications:

    • Possess a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Communication Technology, or an equivalent qualification in an ICT-related discipline from a recognized institution.
    • A Master’s Degree in the above-mentioned fields of study from a recognized institution will be an added advantage.
    • Cisco Certified Network Associate I, Il, and III (CCNA), Computer maintenance and repair, programming certification will be an added advantage;
    • Knowledge and Experience working with ABNO ERP systems is highly desirable;
    • Knowledge of network administration, cybersecurity, and cloud computing;
    • Excellent problem-solving and leadership skills;
    • Should be a team player; and
    • At least five (5) years of experience in IT Management or an equivalent position, preferably in an educational institution, with demonstrated outstanding professional competence.

    Enterprise Manager

    Job Summary:

    • Reporting to the Chief Principal, the Enterprise Manager/Business Development will oversee business/enterprise Unit operations, drive strategic growth, and ensure efficient resource allocation.
    • The ideal candidate should have strong leadership skills and a proven track record in enterprise/business management.
    • The manager will be responsible for guiding the Polytechnic in the development and implementation of Income Generating Activities (IGAs) within the departments.

    Job Description:

    • Oversee daily operations of Enterprise Unit, ensuring efficiency and productivity
    • Develop and provide leadership in institutional Enterprise Units
    • Provide Consultancy support to departments
    • Prepare budgets, and workplans, for the department
    • Improve the quality of service and increase the scale of enterprise unit activities
    • Ensure effective implementation of enterprise Units policy
    • Promote Enterprise Unit products and services
    • Develop collaborations with funding organizations, stakeholders and, partners
    • Monitor performance of activities, support areas and projects across Enterprise Unit

    Job Specifications:

    • Possess a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Business Management, Entrepreneurship, Commerce, or any other relevant and related field of study from a recognized institution
    • A Master's Degree in the above-named disciplines will be an added advantage

    Information Communication Technology (ICT) Officer - 2 Posts

    Job Summary:

    • Reporting to the ICT Manager, the officer will be responsible for the implementation and testing of computer programs, conducting system analysis, and configuring the local area network (LAN) and wide area network (WAN) for the Polytechnic.
    • Additional responsibilities include providing user support for ERP implementation, performing systems administration, managing the website, and conducting data backups.

    Job Description:

    • Install, configure, and maintain hardware and software components of the ICT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and peripherals
    • Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues, ensuring timely resolution and minimal downtime
    • Implement and maintain security measures to protect the ICT systems and data from unauthorized access, malware, and other threats
    • Manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights, ensuring compliance with security policies and procedures
    • Conduct regular backups and disaster recovery procedures to safeguard critical data and systems
    • Provide technical support and assistance to end users, resolving hardware and software issues and answering technical queries
    • Provide institutional ERP support to staff
    • Periodic update of Institutional Website
    • Periodic maintenance of institutional CCTV system
    • Conduct daily audits of the institutional ICT systems to identify and resolve any issues ensuring optimal performance, security, and compliance with established protocol

    Job Specifications:

    • Possess a Higher Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a closely related field such as Software Engineering, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Network Engineering, or Artificial Intelligence, from a recognized institution
    • A Bachelor's Degree in the above-mentioned fields of study from a recognized institution will be an added advantage
    • Certification in computer maintenance and repair/network administration/programming will be an added advantage
    • Knowledge and Experience working with ABNO ERP systems is highly desirable
    • Knowledge of computer hardware, software, and networking
    • Should be a team player
    • At least three (3) years’ experience as a system administrator/network administrator in an equivalent position preferably in an educational institution and demonstrated outstanding professional competence
