    Finance Associate

    Duties

    •  Maintain financial records and monitoring systems to record and reconcile expenditures, balances, payments, statements and other data for daytoday transactions and reports.
    •  Select and enter data from a wide variety of documents, verifying accuracy by checking sources, making necessary calculations and assuring inclusion of all relevant data.
    •  Prepare recurring reports as scheduled and special reports as required for budget preparation, audits or other reasons.
    •  Advise and assist staff members, experts and consultants on all aspects of allowances, salary advances, travel claims and other financial matters, calculate and authorize payments due for claims and services.
    •  Maintain liaison with officials of local banks to obtain daytoday information on exchange and interest rates, changes in procedures and regulations and matters pertaining to maintenance of office bank accounts.
    •  Prepare detailed cost estimates and participate in budget analysis and projections as required.
    •  Initiate correspondence to verify data, answer queries and obtain additional information on accounts and financial transactions, as required.
    •  Verify that the financial transactions are correct and in accordance with UNHCR rules and procedures.
    •  Perform other related duties as required.

    • G6  3 years relevant experience with High School Diploma; or 2 years relevant work experience with Bachelor or equivalent or higher

    • High level of IT affinity (MS Office applications, People Soft).

    Senior Driver G3

    Duties

    •  Drive UNHCR vehicle mainly for the Head of Office and other high ranking officials.
    •  Drive UNHCR vehicles for the transport of authorized passengers, deliver and collect documents, and other items.
    •  Meet official personnel at airports or other locations and facilitate immigration and customs formalities as required.
    •  Perform daytoday maintenance of the assigned vehicles; check oil, water, battery, brakes, tires, etc. and ensure that the assigned UNHCR vehicles are road or waterway worthy and maintained up to the established security standards. 
    •  Perform minor repairs and arrange for other repairs and ensure that the vehicle is kept clean.
    •  Ensure that the steps required by rules and regulations, or other local requirements, are taken in case of involvement in an accident.
    •  Log official trips, daily mileage, gas consumption, oil changes, greasing, etc. and prepare reports on usage as required.
    •  Ensures valid documentation for passengers, items or cargo in vehicle.
    •  In the absence of an interpreter, assist with basic interpretation services.
    •  Perform other related duties as required.

    Protection Assistant

    Duties

    •  Consistently apply International and National Law and applicable UN/UNHCR and IASC policy, standards and codes of conduct.
    •  Observe and respect protection related Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
    •  Provide functional and administrative support in all protection related AGD based programming with implementing and operational partners.
    •  Provide functional and administrative support in implementing participatory approaches, needs assessments, monitoring, reporting and case management.  
    •  Support assessments on durable solutions through voluntary repatriation, local integration and where appropriate, resettlement.
    •  Facilitate liaison with competent authorities for the issuance of personal and other relevant documents. 
    •  Assist in drafting reports, routine correspondence, updating relevant databases and compiling statistics within the Area of Responsibility (AoR).
    •  Select PoC for preliminary interviews and decide which relevant information to share.
    •  Enforce integrity in the delivery of protection services by local implementing partners.

    Senior Travel Administration Assistant

    Duties

    •  Arrange and confirm travel bookings for applicable staff members, Affiliate Workforce and external meeting participants in line with the rules and regulations in place,
    •  Creates and processes Travel Authorization (TA), Travel Advances and Travel Claims in accordance with the relevant administrative rules and regulations; respond to any queries and/or comments from the certifying or approving officer
    •  Advise and assist staff on their travel entitlements, needed documentation and matters pertaining to travel as per operating administrative instructions and procedures.
    •  Liaise with Finance on payments due from Partners, UN Agencies, staff and other Organisations.

    • Knowledge in how to calculate air tariffs, ticket refunds and cost comparison between routes and airlines is an asset.
