    Design Monitoring Evaluation Accountability & Learning Manager

    Key Responsibilities:

    Technical Leadership and Management

    • Through the leadership of PE&I director, provide technical support in the development, monitoring and reporting on the National Office Strategy.
    • Ensure that the National Office thematic strategic objectives are aligned to the WV Partnership and Regional Guidelines and monitoring of the same is consistently done to ensure compliance and impact towards the well-being of the child.
    • Develop tools, dashboard or other platform to capture, analyze, present and disseminate projects information and evidences of impacts to internal and external stakeholders
    • Ensure organization wide quality data management and innovations through e - platforms such as Horizon, GTRN and other databases.
    • Direct the successful development and implementation of technically feasible approaches and programs in WVK ministry.
    • Ensure that all program interventions are effectively supported in terms of the assessment, design, implementation, baseline, monitoring, evaluation, transition, Learning and Documentation.
    • Enable the relevant Technical Specialists  to receive  timely and appropriate D,M & E technical support needed to meet or exceed donor performance and compliance expectations

     Quality Assurance and Accountability

    • Ensure  the successful development, elaboration and roll out of  implementation strategies and operational guidelines in response to child well -being priorities;
    • Ensure the mainstreaming of child well-being targets into program and project designs.
    • Coordinate and ensure the timely submission of a quality and comprehensive Child well-being annual report
    • Ensure the use of appropriate indicators to track the implementation and progress of National Office strategy.
    • Direct and ensure quality, focus and feasibility in the DM&E processes in WVK including but not limited to development, design, implementation, monitoring and evaluation that result in sustainable and impactful programs in line with key performance indicators and acceptable audit results
    • Direct and ensure that program/project interventions are designed and developed not only in alignment with a fully integrated three track ministry approach but also in compliance with WV, Donor, GOK, SPHERE and other accepted norms and standards;
    • Direct the provision and/or establishment of needed tools, methodological approaches, technical assistance, training / capacity building, DME support and accompanying business processes to ensure that programs achieve or surpass WV child wellbeing objectives
    • Ensure that business processes, standards and policies are developed in coordination with other WVK entities that support program interventions for DM&E and Technical Approaches
    • Streamline and integrate with project monitoring dashboard to ensure one stop shop data for the programs and operations directorates
    • Ensure GESI roots causes analysis and indicators are integrated into project information and evidences of programs impact
    • Ensure that findings and recommendations from various accountability mechanisms such as Peer Review, Operational and Finance Audits, Program evaluations, Program Capability Review, are acted upon in a timely and effective manner
    • Develop departmental risk register, ensure its implementation to mitigate risks and ensure accountability.

    Research, Innovation and Learning

    • Ensure the roll out of the research and innovation initiative as per the research and innovation guidelines, including setting up the research committee, fundraising plan and a research database for WVK
    • Ensure WVK obtains the necessary ethical registration status to enhance research capacity
    • Ensure the consolidation of a learning culture - based upon evidenced based best practices and industry standards - to enable program staff to achieve and/or surpass established targets and standards
    • Impart appropriate mentoring, coaching and supervision in order to equip, motivate and empower a new generation of technical specialists within WVK.

    Collaboration and Fund raising

    • In coordination with Program Effective and Impact Director and Support Offices, develop and maintain pro-active relationships with bilateral and multilateral representatives in the country.
    • Ensure successful engagement of MEAL team with the relevant external stakeholders, including national government ministries, research entities FBOs and other civil society organizations
    • Coordinate and Support the realization of SST (Strategic Support Team) agenda 
    • Ensure technical support to sector related concepts and proposals to meet DM&E and donor standards
    • Enable the relevant MEAL staff to provide the RAM unit the relevant technical support required to successfully meet or exceed established yearly resource acquisition targets

     Team Management

    • Model a high standard of personal Christian leadership, ministry and integrity through lifestyle and work relationships that support spiritual development of the team.
    • In close collaboration with P&C, ensure right program staff are recruited, retained, and provided with intentional opportunities, mentoring and coaching for development.
    • Assess and plan for staff capacities/competencies.
    • Engage appropriate Subject Matter Experts for identified training gaps
    • Facilitate capacity building of staff on technical modules, through trainings, workshops, On the Job Training and technical backstopping etc.

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

    • The position holder should have a Master’s degree in development studies, or any of the fields of Social Sciences,  Business Administration—Program Management/Strategic Management
    • Solid analytical skills and systematic thinking
    • Ability to present complex and technical information/system to non-specialist audience with clarity
    • Relevant experience in facilitating Theory of Change, Logical Frame-work, Project success and sustainability indicators
    • Demonstrated experience of managing large/ multi-sectoral data

    Community Mobilizer- FMNR

    JOB PURPOSE

    • The Community mobilizer will be responsible for the planning implementation, and documentation of all the extension activities regarding the sustainable FMNR, Agro-Forestry and conservation initiatives with a gender bias within the area of operation as per the proposal. Provide necessary Environmental Management related training, follow-up, support and guidance to the farmers, youth and women groups under FMNR and evergreen agriculture component of the project.
    • The job holder in collaboration with the Project Manager, project staff, Kenya Forestry Services staff, KEFRI, Moi University, Ministry of Environment, Education, and other stakeholders on the ground will be in charge of all the environmental conservation extension activities for the FMNR project with a gender bias as per the detailed implementation plan. 
    • He/she will communicate World Vision's Christian ethos and demonstrate a quality of spiritual life that is an example to others.

    MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

    Project Implementation and Monitoring

    • Train the selected groups and farmers on the various proposed activities.
    • Conduct on-site FMNR, Agroforestry, and re-greening initiatives training in collaboration with the project officer and technical Ministry stakeholders.
    • Organize and Support community / Farmers Capacity building on sustainable alternative livelihood options that include climate smart approaches e.g. promoting green energy options, conservation agriculture, etc.
    • Support development and actualization of field monitoring standard in the Area Programme.
    • Work closely with the project and AP team to implement appropriate project initiatives to promote sustainable environment conservation and enhance natural resiliency.
    • Ensure that all FMNR, Agro-forestry and conservation initiatives within the project’s area of influence meet or exceed planned outcomes and are implemented in full compliance with the project’s guidelines.
    • Ensure timely and appropriate utilization of budgeted resources for all FMNR, Agro-forestry, climate-smart agriculture, soil and water conservation farming methods, and other related project interventions
    • Support and carry out baseline surveys and end-of-project evaluation.
    • Engage with key stakeholders, Community, government, church, and other civil society representatives in order to maximize the impact of FMNR, agro-forestry, and other conservation efforts.
    • Support integration of climate-smart agriculture approaches and economic empowerment models such as VSLA
    • Support strengthening community governance systems on the environment and climate change
    • Take good care of the organization’s assets/equipment under your custody at any given time e.g. computers, cameras, phones, etc.

    Reporting and Documentation

    • Compile the necessary monthly, quarterly a,nd annual reports and submit to the Project Manager.
    • Attend the regular weekly and monthly planning meetings as called upon.
    • Regularly document success stories/innovations for sharing with the PC

    KNOWLEDGE/QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE ROLE

    Required Professional Experience

    • Diploma in Forestry, Agroforestry and Natural Resource Management related field
    • Good understanding of World Vision and sphere standards.
    • Knowledge of and adherence to the Red Cross and NGO Code of Conduct.
    • Ability to engage with local communities, partners, and government authorities
    • Exposure to gender-biased programming will be of value

    Program Manager-IMARA

    Purpose of Position

    To provide programmatic, technical and managerial support in the implementation of IMARA program in Elgeyo Marakwet, West Pokot and Turkana Counties which aims at strengthening the target groups towards sustainable natural resource management for improved livelihoods. The job holder will be required to give feedback and reports to IMARA Consortium, partners, donor, National, Regional and subsequent Area Program Office where IMARA program is covering. S/he will be an active participant in the consortium reporting and participating in meetings and forums under the IMARA Secretariat.

    Major Responsibilities

    Program Coordination and Management (40%)

    • The jobholder will be the accountable person for the Program under World Vision Component and will work in close collaboration with the AP Managers, program staffs, Government line ministries in the Counties and Cooperating partners of this grant – Northern Rangelands Trust, Masai Mara Wild Life Conservancy Association, Saferworld and Stockholm Environment Institute.
    • Provide technical support and guidance in implementation of the program objectives
    • Monitor and ensure that grant is managed and executed as per plans within time and budgets, meeting donor, World Vision and community accountability;
    • Monitor Budget Utilization in line with planned Detailed Implementation Plan (DIP) as per WVK Financial Standards and donor requirements
    • Provide effective, innovative and strategic coordinating role in the IMARA program implementation;
    • Ensure that all IMARA initiatives within the program’s area of influence meet or exceed planned outcomes and are implemented timely;
    • Ensure program implementation is in compliance with Donor standards, WVK Policies & Procedures and aligned to acceptable financial & operational audit results.
    • Ensure inclusion of cross cutting themes including gender, youth, conflict sensitivity, disability and social inclusion
    • Ensure integration between the IMARA Program activities and other WVK livelihoods and resilience development programs in Kenya, and other relevant Global WV entities
    • Actively participate in IMARA Program meetings, Technical Working Groups, and Program Team meetings as appropriate
    • Manage and coordinate the IMARA team ensuring competent and motivated staff as well as manage performance of staff and encourage on-the-job coaching, identify and address learning and training needs and opportunities

    Design, Monitoring, Evaluation and Reporting (30%)

    • Ensure accurate and quality Program Design Documents (PDD) are on file
    • Contextualize and utilize planning guidelines for the IMARA Program
    • Ensure accurate and quality Annual Operation Plan (AOP) and Detailed Implementation Plan (DIP) for the program in place and utilized
    • Work closely with IMARA Secretariat MEAL to effectively support the program to carry out all measurements and assessments – baselines, assessments, designs, monitoring and evaluations -  in accordance with donor requirements and WV established standards, policies and procedures;
    • Coordinate with the IMARA Secretariat MEAL to ensure that appropriate controls, monitoring and evaluation tools are in place and being utilized in a timely manner;
    • Ensure the program achieves Child Well-Being Outcomes in line with the organization’s Ministry Framework and Development Approach, and WVK’s strategic priorities and the program designs.
    • Develop monthly schedule for monitoring together with communities and partners;
    • Ensure community capacity building plan on monitoring is in place and utilized;
    • Participate in monthly data collection - (involving communities and partners) using the standardized tools
    • Monitor monthly program expenditure
    • Ensure effective communication between IMARA Secretariat, communities/partners and the baseline/evaluation team;
    • Ensure all targeted respondents / stakeholders are mobilized in a timely manner during data collection exercise.
    • Apply Contextualized and utilized reporting guidelines
    • Generate quality Monthly Management Reports (MMR) informed by accurate analysed data written using language that is appropriate to the reader and in line with World Vision reporting guidelines;
    • Generate Quality & Accurate quarterly, semi-annual and annual reports informed by MMR and in line with donor regulations;
    • In liaison with Communications Officer, Develop context specific electronic and live media communications on program activities
    • Work with MEAL Coordinator ensure effective reflection and learning forums in the counties
    • Work with MEAL Coordinator to build the capacity for designing, monitoring, evaluating and learning from market-based approaches -            to collate, synthesize and communicate the evidence base for the economic development component.
    • Participate in quarterly monitoring visits to the field to review progress, gather stories of change associated with Market systems development, sustainable natural resources-based VCs, and financial inclusion to identify and address strategic gaps;

    Engagement, Networking and Fundraising (20%)

    • Represent WVK in county, national and other Regional forums as approved by the Program Director.
    • Coordinate and Manage Relationships with credible research institutions and private sector to support research component and market systems strengthening component in the program under the agreed framework. 
    • Participate in Turkana, West Pokot and Elgeyo Marakwet County Environmental Stakeholders forums/technical working groups as well as supporting WVK the program staff and cluster managers on engagement in relation to Natural Resource Management as well as articulating Environment and Climate change objectives in the forum. 
    • Participate in development of innovative NRM, Climate Change Adaptation and other Resilience Building concepts and proposals for building community resilience for fundraising as well as marketing Integrated NRM to various Learning forums.
    • Build and Maintain effective communications and pro-active relationships with partners including the county government and the donor
    • Collaborate with line ministries and departments in providing technical support and assistance to the program
    • Support implementing staff to successfully engage with key internal and external stakeholders, including other IMARA entities, private sector, community, religious leaders and other civil society representatives in order to maximize the impact of interventions;
    • Support timely development of funding proposals in line with donor requirements and WVK standards in collaboration with Resource acquisition department;
    • Actively engage with peers across the IMARA Consortium and WV Partnership
    • Participate in public forums and events as appropriate.

    Advocacy: Policy and Budget Influence (5%)

    • Coordinate advocacy and policy influence initiatives of the program at county and national level
    • Increase the visibility of WVK and the donor by maintaining active engagement and advocacy on NRM related matters
    • Ensure that staff capacity around policy and advocacy is built.
    • Take lead on integrating World Vision Global Campaign on Ending Violence against children

    Others (5%)

    • Participate in Trans teams and support other initiatives by partners in the spirit of integration
    • Perform any other duties as assigned by supervisor or designee.

    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

    • Degree in Natural Resource Management, Agriculture, Agro-forestry, Range land Management, Agricultural Economics, Agribusiness Management and Marketing, or any other related discipline.
    • Post graduate degree in any of the above or Business/MBA/Leadership/organizational development is desirable
    • Minimum 7 years of relevant work experience five of which must be in Managing multi agency livelihood and Resilience grants in ASAL Counties;
    • Knowledge in renewable energies and alternative technologies are of advantage;
    • At least 5 years’ experience in designing, planning, implementing, supervising and reporting on integrated sustainable Natural Resource-based Value chains marketing, Business Development, Enterprise development and/or Livelihoods programming
    • Experience in working with consortium partners, county governments, private sector, civil society, donors and local communities;
    • Good understanding of NRM in ASAL context and Dryland Agricultural systems Market systems strenthenings, Peace Programming and Governance.
    • A broad grasp of socio - economic policy issues with respect to NRM, Agriculture, Food security, livestock and other Livelihoods, range management and marketing in both rural and often fragile context
    • Familiarity with participatory market approaches and making Markets Work for the Poor approaches
    • Deep understanding and ability to work in a fragile often interfaith context

    People & Culture Coordinator – HRIS & Analytics

    Key Responsibilities:

    HRIS (Currently Workday) Administration and Management

    • As the WV Kenya HRIS/Workday key user, maintain and update the WV Kenya HR data in Workday (HRIS) system.
    • Update all the People and Culture (P&C) data in the system in a timely manner.
    • Ensure that all available Workday reports and modules are fully operational with accurate and complete information for decision making.
    • Serve as the point of contact and point person for World Vision Kenya with the East Africa Regional and Global Center workday operations team to ensure timely trouble shooting of technical and operational problems with the system

    Payroll Administration Support

    • Generate relevant reports from workday system on a monthly basis for reconciliation with monthly payroll related documents in preparation for payroll processing.
    • Work closely with P&C business partners and the P&C Coordinator for Total Rewards to address any missing data and information needed for payroll processing on or before the 10th of every month.
    • Manage and input data in the payroll software (currently Popay) in collaboration with the P&C Coordinator for Total Rewards and ensure that the payroll system is adequately updated.
    • Liaise with the payroll software service provider for any required support
    • Process payments for temporary staff, consultants and other non-regular employee categories of staff that are ordinarily paid out-side of the regular staff payroll.

    Capacity Building and Reporting

    • Train and assist WV Kenya staff and managers on the use of the (HRIS) systems (currently Workday, Popay and Power BI among others)
    • Produce relevant reports and analysis from the (HRIS) Systems for data quality assessment and other key performance measures required by World Vision at the regional and global center
    • Produce reports on staff turnover, workforce planning, compliance training, diversity, recruitment efficiency, performance management among others for senior leadership decision making and for effective P&C team service delivery

    HRIS Subject Matter Expert

    • Support P&C business partners and the P&C Director in the preparation of technical reports and presentations eg scenario modelling and preparation of departmental presentations for Senior leadership and board meetings.
    • In collaboration with the P&C director develop and update the WV Kenya organizational chart.
    • Represent WV Kenya in HRIS system’s related improvements or enhancement discussions such as job architecture process, job evaluation processes, salary survey data analysis among others
    • Key focal point user on Power BI and other World Vision digital platforms on HR/People and culture data and reports.
    • Support the P&C team in designing employee surveys, Staff newsletter layout and designs and other key presentations in collaboration with the relevant stakeholders.
    • Design relevant collaborative tools and templates for use by the P&C team such as smart sheets, trackers, project planners to effective implementation of P&C projects and processes etc among others

    Required Professional Experience

    • A minimum of 5 years working experience in a large organization 400+ employees (NGO setting is preferred)
    • A minimum of 3 years’ experience working with HRIS, Payroll, SAPs or other key HR-related software and platforms
    • Work experience related to financial analysis, Benefits and compensation analysis (preferred)
    • Excellent use of HR Information Systems
    • Proficiency in Systems Applications
    • Advanced knowledge on use of Payroll systems
    • Excellent interpersonal and relational skills

    Customer Experience Lead

    Key Responsibilities:

    The Customer Experience Lead plays a critical role in analyzing and driving improvement for the overall customer experience for a company.     KNOWLEDGE/QUALIFICAIONS FOR THE ROLE:

    • Knowledge of ITIL Practices is a plus
    • Knowledge of Continual Improvement Methodologies (Preferably, Six Sigma) is a plus
    • Familiarity with customer feedback platforms, survey tools, and data visualization tools.
    • Excellent communication and presentation skills to effectively convey insights and recommendations to stakeholders.
    • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a cross-functional / cross-cultural environment.
    • Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
