    Quality Controller (Micro-Biology and Bio-Chemistry)

    Job Description

    • Ensuring production of quality products in compliance to Food Manufacturing Practices (FMP).

    • Ensuring Good Lab Practices (GLPs).

    • Participation in Quality and SHE improvement initiatives.

    • Implementing process capability studies and ensure compliance to SHEQ standards.

    • Initiating root cause analysis sessions where deviations are reported.

    • Calibration of lab equipment as per the master list.

    • Preparing and updating reports, correspondence and other documents timeously

    Key Duties & Responsibilities

    • Ensuring production of quality products in compliance to Food Manufacturing Practices (FMP).

    • Ensuring Good Lab Practices (GLPs).

    • Participation in Quality and SHE improvement initiatives.

    • Implementing process capability studies and ensure compliance to SHEQ standards.

    • Initiating root cause analysis sessions where deviations are reported.

    • Calibration of lab equipment as per the master list.

    • Preparing and updating reports, correspondence and other documents timeously Skills, Experience & Education

    • Bachelor’s Degree or Higher National Diploma in Food Science, Microbiology or equivalent.

    • 2 years experience in a Food Processing Plant with experience in non-alcoholic ready-to-drink manufacturing.

    • Ability to develop and sustain routine work for long periods of time.

    • Internal Audit experience and exposure to International Systems Environment and TPM or WCM will be an added advantage.

    SHEQ Team Leader

    Job Role

    • Alignment of quality goals and objectives with Business Strategic Priorities.
    • Administration of quality systems and maintenance through the Quality Control Team.
    • Implementing and sustaining good laboratory and food manufacturing practices (FMP).
    • Managing continuous improvement of quality capability and processes using TPM tools.
    • Coordinating process capability studies & ensure compliance to SHEQ standards.
    • Monitoring incoming material, product and package process quality throughout the chain.
    • Maintaining SHEQ standards to drive safe working practices as per KORE and legal requirements.

    Key Responsibilities• Alignment of quality goals and objectives with Business Strategic Priorities.
    • Administration of quality systems and maintenance through the Quality Control Team.
    • Implementing and sustaining good laboratory and food manufacturing practices (FMP).
    • Managing continuous improvement of quality capability and processes using TPM tools.

    Qualifications• Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science & Technology, Microbiology or equivalent.
    • 3 years or more experience in a supervisory role in a Food Processing Plant with experience in non-alcoholic ready-to-drink manufacturing.
    • Exposure to International Systems Environment and TPM or WCM will be added advantage.
    • Excellent interpersonal and Team Leadership skills, consumer and customer focus.
