    Architect

    The Role: This Architect’s role is to provide conceptual designs and architectural requirements in collaboration with an interdisciplinary project team towards quality delivery of a master plan for a major development focused around a rail transport hub

    Key Responsibilities

    • Develops architectural concepts and designs as required for the development of a master plan.
    • Collaborates with an interdisciplinary planning and design team towards an efficient, cost-effective, timely, and high quality delivery of assignments.
    • Prepares architectural content for technical reports and reviews outputs for quality assurance before submission to the Client
    • Undertakes the specific tasks from the TOR that are applicable to an expert in Architecture
    • Develops and manages good and effective relationships with the clients and other stakeholders.
    • Undertakes activities to build the capacity of the staff identified by the client through coaching and mentoring.

    Key Qualifications and Experience

    • At least a Bachelor’s degree (preferably a Master’s Degree), in Architecture from a recognized university.
    • Must be registered with an architectural association.
    • Must have a current practicing license from an architectural association or related body.
    • Should demonstrate experience in planning mixed land-use developments.
    • Should have at least three years’ experience since registration,
    • Should have at least 10 years’ overall experience including at least 5 years’ experience in consulting

    All candidates should possess the following Knowledge and Skills;

    • Excellent technical writing skills (mandatory).
    • Experience in preparing project reports, and/or publications.
    • Excellent English language skills (mandatory)
    • Regional experience in Sub Saharan Africa is an added advantage
    • Proficient in use of computer software (MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, etc) to produce professional looking documents of international standards
    • Able to work with multidisciplinary multicultural teams
    • Able to deliver work within tight deadlines and handle heavier work pressure near deadlines

    Team Leader - Urban - Physical Planner

    The Role:

    This Team Leader’s role is to manage the project and lead the project team towards quality delivery of a master plan for a major development focused around a rail transport hub

    Key Responsibilities

    • Coordinates, manages, and supervises the work of the project team to achieve efficient, cost-effective, timely, and high quality delivery of the assignments.
    • Compiles and prepares project technical reports and reviews project team outputs for quality assurance before submission to the Client
    • Undertakes the specific tasks from the assignment Terms of Reference that are applicable to an expert in Urban/Physical Planning
    • Develops and manages good and effective relationships with the clients and other stakeholders.

    Key Qualifications and Experience

    • At least a Bachelor’s degree (preferably a Master’s Degree), in Urban Development, Regional/Physical Planning or related discipline from a recognized university.
    • Must be registered with the relevant professional body for planners.
    • Must have a current practicing license in physical planning with the board
    • Should demonstrate experience in planning mixed land-use developments.
    • Should have at least three years’ experience since registration.
    • Should have at least 10 years’ overall experience including at least 5 years’ experience in consulting

    All candidates should possess the following Knowledge and Skills;

    Land Surveyor

    The Role:

    This Land Surveyor’s role is to provide services in cadastral/LIS, topographical, engineering surveys, project management, and Land administration systems for a major development focused around a rail transport hub.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Leads and conduct survey and subdivision of the site according to the approved Development Plan.
    • Complies with the necessary approval processes for extension of lease and change of user.
    • Undertakes activities to submit the survey plan, deed plans and title deeds of all resultant plots for necessary approval processes.
    • Prepares quality project technical reports for submission to the Client.
    • Undertakes the specific tasks from the TOR that are applicable to an expert in Land Surveying.
    • Develops and manages good and effective relationships with the clients and other stakeholders.
    • Undertakes activities to build the capacity of the staff identified by the client through coaching and mentoring.

    Key Qualifications and Experience

    • At least a Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university.
    • Should have at least 10 years overall experience including at least 5 years’ experience in consulting.
    • Must be registered licensed by the Institution of Surveyors.
    • Must be licensed Land surveyor by the board.
    • Should demonstrate similar experience in transportation related projects.
    • Should have at least three years’ experience since licensing.
    • Extensive knowledge in cadastral and land administration.

    The Role:

    This Land Economist’s role is to provide services in real estate management, land valuations, real estate projects appraisals, market analysis of the real estate projects for a major mixed use development focused around a rail transport hub.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Conducts analysis of proposed land use and investment appraisal.
    • Undertakes real estate market analysis and develop reports.
    • Prepares real estate development proposal.
    • Prepares quality project technical reports for submission to the Client.
    • Undertakes the specific tasks from the TOR that are applicable to Land Economist.
    • Undertakes activities to support land valuations, real estate projects appraisals, market analysis of the real estate projects.
    • Develops and manages good and effective relationships with the clients and other stakeholders.
    • Undertakes activities to develop program and build the capacity of the staff identified by the client through coaching and mentoring.

    The Role:

    This Financial Expert’s role is to provide services in financial planning, financial viability analysis of projects, project financing, and cost-benefit analysis and investment appraisals for a major mixed use development focused around a rail transport hub.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Conducts financial viability analysis and develops reports for proposed developments.
    • Prepares possible financing methods and options in order to realize projects.
    • Prepares quality project technical reports for submission to the Client.
    • Undertakes the specific tasks from the TOR that are applicable to financial expert.
    • Undertakes activities to support financial Investment analysis and financial appraisals of projects.
    • Develops and manages good and effective relationships with the clients and other stakeholders.
    • Undertakes activities to build the capacity of the staff identified by the client through coaching and mentoring.

    Key Qualifications and Experience

    • At least a Bachelor’s degree (preferably a Master’s Degree), in related discipline from a recognized university.
    • Must be registered with the relevant professional body such as Institute of Certified Public Accountants or related body.
    • Must have a current practicing license from an Institute of Certified Public Accountants or related body.
    • Should have at least 10 years’ overall experience including at least 5 years’ experience in consulting.
    • Should demonstrate experience in large scale project developments.
    • Should have at least three years’ experience since registration.
    • Extensive knowledge in financial planning, financial viability analysis of projects.
    • Experience in project financing, cost-benefit analysis and investment appraisals in major mixed land use development projects.

    All candidates should possess the following Knowledge and Skills;

    • Excellent technical writing skills (mandatory).
    • Experience in preparing project reports, and/or publications.
