Requirements

• Be a citizen of Kenya;
• Bachelor’s degree in Geographic Information Systems, Geographical Sciences, Geospatial Science/Technology, Cartography or its equivalent from a recognized institution;
• Proficiency in ESRI’s GIS products such as ArcGIS, AGOL, Survey 123; and
• Knowledge on the operation of GPS.

Job Responsibilities

• Scan, geo reference and digitize existing maps and physical development plans;
• Converting analogue data to digital format using GIS;
• Map compilation for various users within the County and plotting of the same;
• Data cleaning, analysis and representation;
• Operate the GIS hardware and software;
• Maintenance of GIS infrastructure and back up; and
• Any other relevant duty assigned by a competent authority.

Remuneration

The salary, allowances and other benefits attached to the above position will be as determined by the Salaries and Remuneration Commission.

Salary Scale: Ksh. 39,110 × 1,790 – 40,900 × 1,870 – 42,770 × 1,980 – 44,750 × 2,050 – 46,800 × 2,380 – 49,180 p.m.

Requirements

• Be a citizen of Kenya;
• Bachelor’s degree in Project Planning and Management or its equivalent from a recognized institution;
• At least three (3) years relevant working experience;
• Proficiency in computer applications; and
• Master’s degree will be an added advantage.

Job Responsibilities

• Maintain crucial project documents which track project progress;
• Manage the schedule by monitoring deadlines for each project task;
• Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation and organize project meetings;
• Ensure that all projects are delivered on time, within scope and within budget;
• Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility;
• Ensure resource availability and allocation to agreed projects;
• Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques;
• Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule and project costs using appropriate verification techniques; and
• Any other relevant duty as may be assigned by a competent authority.
