    Relationship Officer

    Job Details

    To generate revenues and maintain relationship from the intermediary sector.

    Responsibilities

    • Generating new business from intermediaries sector;
    • Retention of business above set rates
    • Servicing existing clients;
    • Training new and existing intermediaries on products;
    • Attending to customers complaints;
    • Preparations of quotations;
    • Promoting CIC brand;
    • Develop and maintain close working relationships with intermediaries;
    • Building and maintaining strategic relationships in the intermediary sector
    • Assist in collection of premium as per the credit policy.

    Qualifications

    Academic Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Commerce or in a related field

    Experience

    • Up to three (3) years’ relevant experience in underwriting/marketing department

    Veterinary Officer

    Purpose

    To achieve stability in livestock business in both claims and underwriting departments

    Responsibilities

    • Examine all livestock related claims and advise claims personnel appropriately.
    • To perform and complete livestock health and valuation certificates before insuring farmers
    • To perform post-mortem reports and write reports to the claims department
    • To ear tag animals to be insured
    • Cultivate positive relationships with customers and their animals through regular communication and excellent risk appraisals.
    • Visit farms from time to time and advise on insurance, good management practices and vaccinations.
    • Train new veterinary assistants, animal health assistants and dairy managers on matters insurance
    • Support business growth through business initiatives and targeted marketing to individual farmers

    Qualifications

    Academic Qualifications

    • Degree in Veterinary medicine or Animal health science from a reputable & recognized institution

    Professional Qualifications

    • Diploma in business or Insurance or in a relevant insurance field will be an added advantage.
    • Must be duly registered and retained with the Kenya Veterinary Board of Kenya

    Experience

    • Up to two (2) years’ relevant experience

    Tied Sales Agent (Livestock Insurance)

    Purpose

    Generate revenue for ICMIF 555 Project in order to achieve the annual budgets. The primary responsibility of the tied agent is to sell Insurance to farmers and other groups of customers as shall be assigned. The job involves identifying and training of the farmers who are eligible for insurance. Revenue is Co-operatives.

    Responsibilities

    • Attain 100% or above of the set annual budget with our key cooperative partners which shall include dairy livestock and cross selling insurance business.
    • Acquire new business by identifying and exploiting business opportunities especially amongst farmer groups and other organized networks of dairy farmers for the growth of dairy livestock business.
    • Attend and carry out farmer training sessions and disseminate information on all 555 related products.
    • Ensue at least 85% retention of business on an annual basis.
    • Gather and share market intelligence that help improve product offering, distribution and processes improvements.
    • Provide weekly and monthly production reports within set deadlines.
    • Ensure smooth process flows that adhere to the agreed turnaround time (TATs) as well as be a champion of excellent customer service to the cooperatives and individual clients
    • To comply with company credit policy and audit requirements.

    Qualifications

    Person specifications

    • Academic Qualifications –Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Commerce or in a business related field
    • Diploma in Animal Health or Animal Production

    Professional Qualifications

    • Certification in training course required.
    • Progress towards attaining ACII or AIIK will be an added advantage

    Experience

    • Up to 2 years’ relevant sales and training experience
    • Experience with the cooperative movement and interaction with farmers an added advantage.
