    General Manager, Connectivity Implementation

    Description

    Reporting to the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, this role will be responsible for providing leadership to the Connectivity Implementation Project in Kenya Power.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Design and implement strategies, plans and programs on electricity connectivity;
    • Provide leadership for connectivity initiatives in the company;
    • Drive implementation of connectivity project towards achieving access of 100% by 2022;
    • Ensure implementation of connectivity adheres to required standards; implement effective approaches and innovations to
      realize connectivity milestones;
    • Nurture partnerships with stakeholders in electricity connectivity;
    • Ensure compliance with legal and statutory provisions in electricity connectivity;
    • Ensure equity in implementation of electricity connectivity; and
    • Avail reports on electricity connectivity to stakeholders as required.

    Requirements

    We are looking for a candidate with a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from a recognised university with not less than 12 years relevant work experience with 5 years in senior management; be a registered professional engineer with Engineers Board of Kenya EBK) with a valid practicing certificate and be of good standing. A master’s degree in a relevant field and a Certification in Corporate Governance and /or Leadership from a recognised institution will be an added advantage.

    General Manager, Finance

    Description

    Reporting to the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, this role will be responsible for prudent management of financial resources to achieve corporate goals and objectives

    Key Responsibilities

    • Formulate and implement sound financial policies, procedures, strategies and systems;
    • Manage the Company’s financial resources to ensure the budget effectively supports implementation of the corporate strategy;
    • Provide adequate financial resources for business operations;
    • Compile Company’s statutory financial reports;
    • Advise the Board on investment opportunities for maximum returns;

    We are looking for a candidate with a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, or Economics or a related field from a recognised university with not less than 12 years relevant work experience with 5 years in senior management; be a Certified Public Accountant of Kenya CPA (K), or any other relevant qualification and be a member of Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK), or any other relevant professional body with a valid practicing certificate and be of good standing. A master’s degree in a relevant field and a Certification in Corporate Governance and /or Leadership from a recognised institution will be an added advantage..

    General Manager, Street Lighting

    Description

    Reporting to the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, this role will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies necessary in achieving sustainable management of public lighting in all counties in liaison with National Government and county governments towards a 24 hour economy.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Design Street Lighting strategies for providing quality and reliable power;
    • Develop and enforce standards for efficient Street Lighting operations;
    • Enforce environmental and safety standards on Street Lighting network and power equipment maintenance in liaison with other stakeholders;
    • Identify weaknesses in the Street Lighting network and designing system upgrade projects;
    • Develop capacity for design, installation and maintenance of Public Lighting;
    • Develop Street Lighting maintenance schedules, new infrastructure installations and ensuring adherence;
    • Formulate strategies for timely resolution of customer complaints;
    • Implement and align the divisional strategic objectives with the Corporate Strategic Objectives and Plans; and
    • Ensure utilization of Information Communication Technology systems in management of Street Lighting network operations and dealing with customer complaints.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Develop the corporate strategic plan;
