Chief Human Resource Officer at National Industrial Training Authority (NITA)

Responsibilities

• Reporting to the Director Human Resource and Administration the job holder will be responsible for Coordination of operations of the Human Resource Function. The job holder will also be responsible for:
• Coordinating, and controlling of the functions and operations in the Human Resource Division;
• Implementing Human Resource Policies, Rules, Standards and Procedures governing terms and conditions of service;
• Advising on administration of the Career Progression Guidelines and Progressions;
• Planning, coordination and direction of Human resource services in the Authority in such areas as recruitment, promotion, compliment control, placement, deployment and staff development;
• Managing and updating of Personnel data Systems including a Human  Resource Information Management System
• Employee relations, remuneration and staff welfare; Drafting Human Resource agenda for the Board.
• Ensuring cascading of the Board’s target to all Human Resources Units
• Coordinating of performance appraisal and recommendations for rewards/sanctions.

Job Qualifications

• Have a Master’s degree in Social Sciences or any other related and equivalent qualification from a recognized Institution;
• Have a Bachelor’s Degree in any Social Sciences.
• Have CPS Final/CHRP/Post Graduate Diploma in Human Resource Management;
• Have at least seven (7) years’ relevant work experience;
• Have attended a Senior Management Course lasting not less than four (4) weeks from a recognized Institution;
• Be member of IHRM;
• Be proficient in Human Resource based computer application skills;
