DEPARTMENT: CBA CAPITAL LTD

REPORTS TO: HEAD OF BROKERAGE

JOB PURPOSE STATEMENT

To provide timely, actionable, relevant and objective research recommendations to CBA Clientele to facilitate quick decision making by conducting both fundamental and technical analysis of equities, fixed income, REITS and derivatives.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Equity Research and any other asset class as need arises (40%)
• Macroeconomic Research (20%)
• Fixed Income Research (20%)
• Report Writing (20%)

COMPETENCE REQUIREMENTS

• Ability to work on different projects simultaneously
• Proven experience in report writing skills preferably in equity & fixed income research • Proven experience in financial modelling
• Integrity and Trust: Credible and confident with the ability to communicate with stakeholders
• Execution:
  • Ability to execute on time and with quality
• Critical Thinking:
  • Explores all sources of information.
  • Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

• Undergraduate degree
• Should have sat and passed CISI module 1 and/or 2
• Working towards CFA qualification an added advantage.
• 1-4 years’ experience in an equities and/or fixed income research role.
