    Clerical Officer  (3 POSTS)

    REF/MCPSB/377/2022

    Duties and Responsibilities

    This is the entry and training grade for the Clerical Cadre. Work at this level will be carried out under close supervision and guidance of a more senior officer and will be subject to regular checks and verification. Officers at this level will be deployed in the HRM Unit, general registry, supplies, accounts office or general office services. Specific duties will include:

    1. compiling statistical records;
    2. sorting, filing and dispatching letters;
    3. maintaining an efficient filing system;
    4. processing appointments, promotions, discipline, transfers and other related duties in human resource management;
    5. computation of financial or statistical records based on routine or special sources of information;
    6. Preparing payment vouchers; compiling data and drafting simple letters.
    7. Any other relevant duties as may be assigned by the supervisor from time to time.

    Requirements for Appointment

    1. Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) mean grade C Plain or its approved equivalent;
    2. A Certificate in any of the following disciplines: Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Kenya Accounts Technician Certificate (KATC), Information Communication
    3. Technology (ICT), Kenya Administration and Management Examination (KAME) or any other approved equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
    4. Proficiency in computer applications.

    1. Hand delivered applications should be dropped at the offices of the Migori County Public Service Board located at Nyamome along Namba – Masara road adjacent to Nyamome SDA church.
    2. All applications should reach the Secretary/CEO Migori County Public Service Board on or before Thursday 31st March, 2022 at 5:00pm.
    3. Shortlisted candidates will be required to produce their original identity cards, academic and professional certificates and testimonials.
    4. For candidates to meet the requirements of chapter six of the Constitution of Kenya 2010, applicants must obtain the following clearances:
    • Tax compliance certificate from KRA
    • Clearance certificate from HELB
    • Clearance certificate from Ethics and Anticorruption Commission (EACC)
    • Certificate of good conduct from Criminal Investigation Department
