Job Role

• The Loading & Offloading Assistant is responsible for supporting the safe loading, unloading, handling, and movement of raw materials, finished products, equipment, and other goods within the facility. The role ensures materials are handled efficiently while minimizing damage and maintaining workplace safety.

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

• Support efficient loading and offloading activities.
• Ensure goods are handled safely and carefully.
• Support timely movement of materials.
• Minimize product damage and material losses.
• Maintain clean and organized loading areas.
• Comply with health and safety procedures.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Loading & Offloading

• Assist in loading and unloading materials and finished products.
• Arrange materials safely during loading.
• Assist in checking quantities and condition of goods.
• Follow instructions regarding placement and handling of materials.
• Support movement of goods to designated areas.

Material Handling

• Handle materials carefully to prevent damage.
• Assist with manual movement of materials where appropriate.
• Support operators using material-handling equipment as directed.
• Ensure loading areas remain accessible and organized.

Safety & Housekeeping

• Wear required PPE.
• Follow safe lifting and handling procedures.
• Report damaged goods and unsafe conditions.
• Maintain cleanliness of loading and offloading areas.

Qualification

• Minimum KCSE qualification or equivalent.
• Previous experience in warehouse, logistics, manufacturing, or loading/offloading operations is an added advantage.
• Physically fit and able to handle manual duties.
• Willingness to work shifts where required.
