Our client in the Manufacturing of Hygiene and Sanitary items located in Ruiru is looking to fill the positions of a Mechanical Fitter who will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing mechanical equipment used in the production and packaging of hygiene and sanitary products. The role involves ensuring optimal machine performance and minimizing downtime in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Job Description
Equipment Maintenance and Repairs
Perform routine and preventative maintenance on mechanical equipment and systems, ensuring operational efficiency.
Diagnose and rectify mechanical faults in production and ancillary machinery.
Conduct emergency repairs to minimize production downtime.
Installation and Upgrades
Install new machinery and upgrade existing systems as required.
Ensure all installations align with safety and operational standards.
Troubleshooting
Identify mechanical issues in production equipment, including pumps, conveyors, and rotating machinery.
Use diagnostic tools and techniques to resolve faults promptly.
Documentation and Reporting
Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repairs performed.
Prepare detailed reports on machine performance and recommend improvements.
Safety and Compliance
Adhere to all workplace safety protocols and regulations.
Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety standards in all maintenance activities.
Job Requirements
Education: Higher Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent qualification.
Experience: At least 5 years of hands-on experience as a Mechanical Fitter in a manufacturing setting.
