Migori County is a county in the former Nyanza Province of southwestern Kenya. It is located in western Kenya and borders Homa Bay County, Kisii County, Narok, Tanzania and Lake Victoria to the West. The county also borders Uganda via Migingo Island in Lake Victoria.

Undertaking valuation for purposes of land purchase.
Undertaking valuation for Stamp duty, undertaking valuation of Assets for the county Government of Migori;
Analyzing data for the development and review of the County Land Value Index;
Preparing main and supplementary valuation rolls;
Attend court on valuation matters;
Analyzing market data for valuation purposes;
Determining ground rent during sub-division, alienation, change of user and extension of lease;
Developing valuation database;
Responsible for research activities, administration and supervision of all staff working under him/her
Requirements for Appointment
Bachelor's degree in any of the following disciplines: Land Economics, Real Estate and Property Studies, or its equivalent qualification from a recognized institution
Served in the grade of Senior Valuer for a minimum period of three (3) years; or have experience in land valuation in a reputable organization for a period not less than 6 years;
Have a certificate in Senior Management Course lasting for a period of not lasting less than four (4) weeks from recognized institution;
Be registered by Valuers Registration Board
Membership to the Institution of Surveyors of Kenya (ISK), Valuation and Estate Management Surveyors Chapter
Certificate in computer application skills
Shown merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results.
