    National Sales Manager

    Reporting To

    Group CEO

    Position Summary

    1. Deliver margins and net profits for each business unit.
    2. Support board the n day-to-day implementation of board resolutions
    3. Provide accurate reports to relevant recipients.

    Summary

    The role is responsible for providing leadership and business growth through aggressive customer acquisition and growing the g market share of the businesses. The SSM assumes responsibility and is accountable for customer retention and the profitability of each business unit in the group. She/he fulfills responsibility using sound business management practices and, plans motivate, and coordinates the activities of the management team.

    Essential Duties and responsibilities

    1. Business Development and Sales
      1. Plan units’ts annual operations budgets and submit them s to the Group CEO for approval.
      2. Develops marketing strategies (in liaison with unit GMs) and assists in creating effective, cost-efficient advertising programs.
      3. Meets with managers individually to develop monthly and annual goals and objectives, and to review actual performance.
      4. Holds regularly scheduled managers meetings to ensure that every unit is operating efficiently and profitably.
    2. Customer Focus
      1. Regular communication with customers to increase customer satisfaction
      2. Resolves any customer complaints that unit managers are unable to rectify
      3. Preparing reports on customer feedback and market intelligence with recommendations
      4. Design and implement robust marketing and customer reward campaigns(monthly).
      5. Act as quality champion and ensure the brands are strong in the market in quality reviews.
    3. People Management
      1. Hires, trains and motivates all the unit managers.
      2. Directs and monitors all management or supervisory personnel functions and completes formal performance evaluations of all unit managers at regularly scheduled intervals.
      3. Provides enthusiastic leadership to help shape employees' attitudes and build morale.
      4. Meets with the managers monthly to review unital forecasts for consistency with the annual forecast.
      5. Communicates management policies and procedures to all employees and ensures that they are understood and followed.
      6. Reviews all requests for training, approves those which are appropriate and consistent with the dealership's goals for professional/technical ability and advancement, and monitors their effectiveness.
      7. Reviews and approves compensation plans for all employees.
    4. Operations
      1. Direct and oversee operations staff to ensure that they are motivated and trained to carry out their responsibilities to the required standard.
      2. Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure that core operational functions achieve their business objectives.
      3. Develop and control operational budgets to promote profitability and ensure the company has all the resources required to meet its objectives within agreed financial parameters.
      4. Direct and control production to ensure that finished goods of the required standard are available to customers within agreed costs and at the right times.
      5. Supervises, monitors and approves reconciliations the inventory in the all storage locations.
      6. Establishes and oversees safety standards to ensure that all units comply with the
      7. company’s safety policies and OSHS guidelines.
      8. g.      Oversees general statutory and organizational compliance across all the business.
      9. h.      Contribute to corporate strategy in the areas of production, purchase, distribution and supply chain to ensure that the company achieves its short and long-term objectives.
      10. i.        Oversee purchasing to ensure that the company has the goods and services required for production purposes within agreed costs and quality standards and at the right times.
      11. Direct and control warehousing and distribution functions to ensure that customers are supplied with the right quantities of goods at the right times.
      12. Direct and control supply chain operations.
      13. Develop all necessary policies and procedures to ensure safe and healthy working environments across all company locations.
      14. Maintain working relationships with all other managers to ensure effective co-ordination of all company activities in support of corporate objectives.
      15. Evaluate overall company performance by gathering, analysing and interpreting data and metrics.
      16. Act as the company’s main adviser on all issues relating to operational functions and keep abreast of latest developments to ensure that the company maintains its competitive position
    5. Business Reporting and Financial Planning
      1. Manage companies' financial planning.
      2. Coordinates with the finance teams to ensure that records and analyses are maintained accurately.
      3. Provides Group CEO with accurate weekly reports on the financial condition of the business
      4. Ensures that the monthly financial statements and deck is complete, accurate and submitted on time to the Group CEO
      5. Follow up on the implementation of resolutions raised from the monthly reports
      6. Plan and perform risk management duties.
      7. Analyze and manage the organization's liabilities and investments.
      8. Plan, implement, and manage investment strategies.
      9. Manage fundraising plans and capital structure.
      10. Assess the performance of the business unit against the business goals and plans

    Education, Skills, and Experience

     Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university.
