    Senior Manager - Financial Reporting & Control

    Key Responsibilities

    • Consolidation and preparation of Group’s quarterly and annual financial statements in compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), statutory and regulatory requirements.
    • Lead the annual preparation and review of the Group’s audited financial statements both from the general ledger, and non-general ledger disclosures. 
    • Coordinate the Group external audit process in strict adherence to the end year financial reporting calendar.
    • Consolidate, track and follow on closure of reported external audit issues.
    • Monitor compliance with financial regulatory requirements across the Group entities, highlight and recommend remedial actions, to areas that may pose risks to the respective entities and Group.
    • Drive technical accounting expertise across the Group financial reporting teams. 
    • Liaise with external consultants on financial accounting matters that require external support to ensure Group compliance on IFRS, statutory and regulatory requirements.
    • Review, assess and drive compliance to new IFRSs, and regulatory requirements on financial reporting. 
    • Maintain the Group financial reporting and consolidation systems, chart of accounts with regular review of process to drive efficiency in statutory reporting.
    • Represent Group Finance as lead on review of IFRS 9 model outputs including EIR, working with entity Heads of Finance to ensure compliance to Group standards.

    Academic Requirements

    • A Bachelor's degree from a recognized institution
    • Full professional accounting qualifications, CPA/ACCA or equivalent is required
    • CFA/ICIFA qualification will be an added advantage
    • A Master's degree from a recognized institution will be an added advantage

    Minimum work experience

    A minimum of 6 years' work experience in a similar role, including specific experience in the following areas:

    • 5 years' experience in financial consolidation
    • 5 years' in Financial reporting standards (IFRS)
    • 3 years' in Financial analysis & performance management
    • 3  years' experience in audit will be an added advantage
